Premium Member Christmas in Paradise
One year,  over the ocean, Santa veered  off course
His reindeer were battling a hurricane  force.
As the sleigh went  spinning and spiraling around,
an  island appeared far below on the ground,
dotted with palms on  a white sandy beach.
Santa took heart that land was in reach.
Through starlight’s glow and the light of the moon
Santa touched...

Premium Member Two Hawaiians, a Sunset and a Memory
Two Aloha-shirted Hawaiians
of generous girth were strumming
their ukuleles
on a small stage in front of the hotel’s poolside bar
in the late afternoon,
rehearsing for the night’s performance.
It must have been the low season,
as both bar and pool were deserted.
and the singer,...

// This is my tribute to the many blessings that music brings to our
lives. I know many of you share this enthusiasm and gratitude. //

Appreciating an amazing artform: allegro, andante, or adagio -
Bach, Beethoven, Brahms: beautiful berceuse, ballad, and bolero
Classical concertos and Christmas chorales crescendo...

You Can Paint What I Cannot Write
I ask you to paint.
You, on the other hand
want me to write again.

But the ink in all my pens
has dried
and I am left here stranded
abandoned
Trying to capture with millions and millions
of words, what you could easily paint
in the stroke of a brush –

and when...

Music
Music can be mellow
Ukuleles are used to make music
Some people like to sing along to music
Italy made the musical instrument violin
Calming music helps people go to sleep...

Cecil County Maryland
(Land that doth marry mother lode
of sublime earthen land and sea).

Age of exploration
   ushered cruel fate
   against “red” men living
   in bliss by agents

Here where I am, it is warm and sunny.
This is not a typical December scenery.
I am a long way from my home in New Jersey.
You can find me in the shade under a tall palm tree.
I am spending Christmas in the state of Hawaii.

Whether I...

Let the Fun Begin
Only at Christmas, God knows why
Pleasing everyone, you take the cue
Quick, just one more gift to buy
Really, did you think you were thru?
Sweaters, socks and fancy hair bows
Teens always looking for new clothes
Ukuleles, drums for the young ones
Violins, little cellos just for fun
Why did you...

The Spark That Starts the Fire
We have the spark
That starts the fire

It lies deep
inside of us

Like butterflies
in the stomach
it wants to emerge

The spark that starts the fire
it lays in our fingertips

The spark that starts the fire
It sits in the...

The Oahu Ouch

On the island of Oahu, once lived, the Princess Bess.
A sexy, young thing, who did the hula, both to attract and impress.
As the ukuleles, played, the lovely, tall, palm tress swayed.
A furious monkey got so very angry and dismayed.
Threw a coconut at her head...

Gus, Trainer, of Puppets Mall Exodus IV
As they hurried to the door, the sounds of laughter and shouts from outside faded but never completely disappeared. They could still hear the teenagers chanting and the Bunny making sarcastic comments to keep the situation wierd. Their distraction technique was working, but they knew...

Stuff, Stuff Everywhere
Stuff, stuff everywhere
I'm surrounded by stuff
here and there.

Stuff, stuff everywhere
Hiding in every nook
and cranny

Stuff, stuff everywhere
everywhere I look I see stuff
I see books, books everywhere
I see guitars, ukuleles and paper everywhere

Stuff, stuff everywhere
It's so overwhelming.
It's time to stop writing...
