Best Tussle Poems
I found a tussle in my mind between
What I had hoped to do
And what it seemed that someone else
Wanted for to have me do.
It didn’t seem to me that what
Was asked by others of me do,
Was anywhere near what I had
Wanted to be doing for myself.
I could in my mind’s little eye
See bits of time go flying by,
Wasted, it seemed, while it and I
Engaged in tugs of war.
It, adamant, would not yield
And I in spite, stood fast my ground,
For I, invaded, felt I must
Fall not to someone else’s whims.
But, was it really someone else
Or maybe just my other self,
An internal different point of view
Than the one I first expressed?
It seemed but just a flicker of
A moment in time’s passing by
Until it all was quickly solved
And I gave in to me.

Making ends meet, dad was always boxing mum
For all i can trace and gun
Mighty hand when will mum and dad stop punching in this ring of ours?
Mum has been the dad amidst manly chores
the tide of tussle toil round our hut
As i grade the route of crowning mama proud
She given the greatest shock from his fist
And right at the burning flood of her blood
She gave up to life
And i was trading the route of watery grief
'Mother, from those frosty punch of daily troubles
The wonky meal you tried to erase
Now pound on your ward
As i grease under left overs
From the brim of begging and wealthy containers'
Dripped from the walls of a loving relative
My shadows are function to weary songs
For this has been my greatest reverie
Oh! My candles are now as a fading moon
For mother beckons from beyond
Mother, this is where it hurts.
We’ve a heart, We’ve a brain,
We all know, heart should get no strain.
Brain is very smart,
But heart knows, how to keep it apart.
What for brain is here,
If heart will always interfere!
Heart keeps cuddling emotions,
For rest of the things, brain has to be in motion.
What happens actually,
We don’t get to know factually.
If we let the brain get hazy,
The heart will surely go crazy!
If heart will think, the whole day,
Brain will surely go on a holiday!
Heart will do what it desires.
This will put our life on fire!
By the time, we realise,
It’s all gone! guys!
So, what do we have to decide?
Our heart is very nice,
Still give preference to your brain, as it is very wise!
Keep the heart aside,
If you want to live in paradise.

Old Happy Jack is much happier these days
Maybe a love bug has entered his maze
Blocking his path
Must take a bath
Just in case she appears and they tussle in the hay
Would you take a chance with coarse anomy:
A folk with dreams like yours tag an enemy?
A partaker does hurt vibrant economy,
Dropped farms for power: Poorest Agronomy…
Rivals to get rid of with shameful hustles,
Paid full cash silencers who love their rustles:
I’ve long learnt to think of all power tussles
As “For the wrong reasons flexing one’s muscles.”
On the African scene badly burnt car,
Owner politician with its rude scar,
Life savers much afraid he would not go far.
“They might finish him off in some lone bar!”
Times it meant with cash, asking that one step down
But mostly with weapons to forget The Crown,
Bizarre shoot-outs and scuffles in a calm town,
In the end wasting Senators Charles and Brown…
Stark evidence one can’t targets deliver,
His subjects to meet with enclosing river;
One would only be worsening the fever:
The merely interested in Gold and Silver…
Yes, not at all times take one to the Tower,
Sometimes, hands one over to Grave with flower;
From oneself one takes away easeful hour,
A crazy idea: one hour in bower..
Like games greatly checked by youth-crushing age;
One shouldn’t in one’s seventies open the page.
Every day I grapple with sin
Ts the power of flesh within
Each time I stand; I stand in faith
...Ts the work of the spirit within
Good and evil tussle
My mind is the battle field
Like myself I won't yield
Heaven and hades struggle
Every day I grapple with sin
Now I am new born
Twas the flesh within
... At the cross my grief's borne !
