Best Tricky Poems

Tricky, Tricky, Tricky Time

Tricky how Time is: We think we own it,
so we measure it out in minutes, parcel it in hours,
package it in days, crate it in months, store it in years,
pile it up in decades!

Yet a lifetime can melt in a moment, and...a whole world can be gone in a flash.

Premium Member The Sonnet Is a Tricky Thing To Write

The sonnet is a tricky thing to write.
Quatrains, exactly three, must come before
A pair, a couplet, rhyming nice and tight:
A rave of fourteen lines, no less, no more.

True, limericks and haikus, although brief,
Present linguistic challenges as well.
Nantucket does not bring comic relief;
Five/seven/five at times can feel like hell.

Yet nobler is the sonnet’s higher norm;
The quatrains each pack meaning of their own,
Preserving all the while iambic form,
And forcing would-be writers skills to hone.

The words are calling, lovely, dark, and deep;
Alas, the bard could write these in his sleep!

Oh Your Tricky

once was an tricky old leprechaun
colored blarney stone with neon crayons
so much for gift of gab
I just hailed down a cab
and ran over that fairytail icon

The Tricky Chirp

The nester bird comes to live,
in a nest, they did not make.
Yet... the bird,
feels right at home
and not alone at all.

The new mom seems surprised,
she can not hide it from
her eyes,
but she continues on
like any mother would.

The brand new baby is larger than the rest.
Taking all the best, and putting the whole nest to the test.
The sad secret of this new life,
this mock, "not my son" from afar...
The more you give, the more they take.
It is a bad-tasting cake.
The dark star is par for the course... and now the jar is empty.
There is no more left for those that belong,
and that is all wrong.

Eating the food, drinking the wine,
and telling the time...
to whom ever walks by
they said hi,
and not high,
or how high?

The mother bird continues,
wondering where father
has gone?

Premium Member A Tricky Situation

A combined family.
A tricky situation.
One I have managed to avoid and gladly

I have no idea how they do it.
Each thinking the other one’s children
are spoiled.

Keeping their mouths shut
or worse, taking over too soon.
A tricky situation.
One I have gladly avoided

your so mega loud and your freak-in flashy
oh... And how!
you no (know), know (no) one see the things
you plan under the blank of helpless night
Oh! not quite...
your so dang fast and your so...
not working alone
why you've got a many man team
and they work on getting poor little me
your so clever and you so perfectly smart
but it true...
no one will or won't stop you
but just you wait and see
someday the masses will
catch up
and get the likes of someone
who work on getting poor little people like me
when they have your name and faces down
i hope and pray they will remember the
person call verlecia and not just
the way i was pushed and fell
and made to die...
in a sneaky heart breaking way...

Feelings Are Tricky

Feelings are Tricky
Feelings come and go like going horseback riding without the horse...

Feelings are Tricky
Feelings & thoughts of inadequacy thoughts running rapid like you're on an never ending roller coaster tossed here & there.

Feelings are Tricky
So I say again...

Feeling like pieces to a puzzle full of pieces to a puzzle that almost fit but not exactly so to speak. t's like your mind is playing tricks now you see now you don't, as though your mind is slowly, slowly unbelievable slipping away.

Feelings are Tricky
In the darkness like over flowing rivers resembling a river non-stop, joy, fear, anger & solitude, oh my oh my...

Feelings are Tricky
surrounded by unfavorable, fading circumstances. In the state of desperation & hope at the same time.

Feelings are Tricky
seeming trapped in darkness and the light of day, like morning dew with an array of beauty.

Feelings are Tricky
Sometimes it's hard living beyond your feelings, because they follow us around all day even to eternality holding onto dear life...

Feelings are Tricky
Oh my Lord what's going on now..

Feelings are Tricky
like waves, moments of hope, satisfaction, peace, contentment, trust, accountability, pride, fear with no self control...
only in the end of day to realize it's only feelings with it's twists & turns going to & fro...

Tricky Ticks

Politics
Polytricks!!
Sucking us like ticks
Good things befall the 'leader'
And we are left in the need of a healer
No.. political leader...
Tampering with humanity—
Animality!
Trying to lead people to emancipation
Is like leading a snake to masturbation
Brainwashed zombies
Conltrolled like machines
I wonder what is marshing in—
In times of need
We need a lot of time
All to embrace
We shall win the race
No matter the race
Everything will gain its face
New,will be the phase
 Peace
cry

Premium Member A Tricky Little Riddle

Okay guys, here's a tricky little riddle
Name the states with only four letters?
Careful now, it's a tricky one
Don't want to ruffle any feathers!

The real obvious ones are as follows...
There's Ohio, Iowa, and Utah
Believe me, there's actually seven more
I'll bet you think it's a flaw!

Trust me there's actually seven others
Don't you look at the bottom notes
Till you've given it your very best shot
No one's going to call you a dope!

Tricky

taste me let me drip down your throat

swallow me whole until you choke

feel me inside and out

                                    swooshing all about

pump more of me into you

                                              until you overload

reach depths to man unknown

enter all of me over and over again

i need to feel you eating me up

i want to feel you teasing me inside and out

i understand this is all new for you

i am willing to take it slow

i suggest you slide into it gradually

                                                then go for the gusto

you will never have enough

                                                        you will always want more

knowledge is something that we all yearn for

what did you think i was talking about

Love Is a Tricky Thing

Love is a tricky thing
It is not always what meets the eye
Sometimes it will cause you to laugh in the morning
Other times to cry
If it were an easy thing
We wouldn't treasure it so
Some people fight the world for it
And to what lengths they will go
To have experienced it, if once
Is to have lived indeed
Because this is the only food
On which our hearts must feed
And love is like the seasons
That change in many ways
A little spark ignited
could last for many days
And as with all diseases
It is different to us all
One day we must submit ourselves to it
then take the fated fall
As we take a step...
Our thoughts go round and round
Finding out shortly
To love we are bound
We don't realize it is happening
Until it is too late....
Like a cancer eating us inside
Like a fish unto the bait
But is it really all that simple
To be told with a little rhyme?
They tell us often to wait
Time will tell, with time...

Richard Nixon was the president’s name
It was Watergate that brought him shame
They wanted to impeach him, the F.B.I.
But he resigned before they could try.
