Tricky Dicky

Richard Nixon was the president’s name
It was Watergate that brought him shame
They wanted to impeach him, the F.B.I.
But he resigned before they could try.

Old memories are brought back. Water gate scandal hasn't died out. It was unfortunate. Well composed.

I Love this Clerihew Tom and the infamous story behind it! Did you ever see the film about the uncovering of the Watergate scandal by two journalists Bernstein and Woodward who had the F.B.I got hot on their heels. I've watched this film twice and enjoyed it twice over! Due to this scandal and his complicity in these dirty deeds, he was forced into resigning. These two journalists were awarded the Pulitzer prize. I See another first in the offing with this clever poem! Poetry hugs, Jenny.
