Best Touch And Go Poems
* If you want to be in their heart tomorrow, be in their life today.
Touch the cornerstone of parenthood, love them with fervent
Open hearted dedication. As a mother or father, only you can give them the
Upbringing they need, the understanding of themselves. Just love them and
Caress their souls with inspiration. Help them to achieve their dreams ,
Holding nothing back. Live for them and enjoy the contentment of parenthood;
And when they grow up and are ready to spread their wings and fly, don't
Negate their desires. Love is all about letting go, share space, then
Do the right thing by them. Do not raise them co-dependent but sane
Guide them and teach them self assurance and self acceptance
Only you can guide them lovingly. So bless them, everyday.

Brilliant light reaches down, a hand from above
Touching life, illuminating lies, searing my retinas
Like something holy that defies tangibility
Reflecting upon the water as a striving, sorrowful soul
A dream of death, the final moments of a friend
Pushing the darkness into the despairing depths of my heart
Hidden from the luminous brightness by walls of stygian gloom
The hallowed secret a friendship locked away forever
Night comes, a god of old billowing from the bowels of the earth
Snuffing the light from our minds like hope crushed under fingers of death
Something we once possessed, now transcendent in our memory
Elusive laughter and light dancing across the pages of our life
Tears mingle with the dew of dawn
A fleeting fog vanished by the sun
Emotion cloys our senses
A miasma of feelings echoing into eventide
The body a prison cell containing only a soul
A vessel for the works of a heavenly deity
A vicious fight for life, taking no prisoners

There are pets and then there are people in fur coats. My Angel Face was a people in a fur coat. She loved to go riding in the car. She would put on her seat belt and mommy would be put on hers. Then it was off to hit the road to see what we could see. With delight to the bank for a cookie. Angel Face seemed to know when there were no cars-no red lights in front of us. She would take her left paw/leg and press down on my right thigh. She would press down until I would go. She would do her touch and we would go faster. Touch my leg again and we would go even faster. We never figured out how Angel Face knew my leg worked the car. She wanted speed and she got it. My Angel Face was a people in a fur coat.

Dramatic Verse
A sport that holds a special place in my heart,
A memory that will live with me from the start.
The day I hit my first home run,
I knew my hard work was not done.
Hard work, blood, sweat, and tear,
Poured into the game, as the fans still cheer.
As the end of the season is near,
I will be playing on the field one last time this year.

Our romance was but touch and go
since first time I ever did see
your face. I’m sure mine was aglow.
Some magic spell you cast on me!
Days later I went out with you.
Our romance was but touch and go.
Nobody that I ever knew
had shown me the things you could show.
Your kisses were so sweet and slow -
down my neck; all over my face!
Our romance was but touch and go.
I shone within from your embrace.
One night then it all had to end.
You needed to leave. Even though
you live on in poems I’ve penned,
our romance was but touch and go!

In cracking lights, beaming smiles, lost in the moment, busy minds,
Someone just got lost in my vision, reached out to my senses
Hurricanes, poison ivies, king-sized towers turned out to be a joke
For a guy like him whose blossoms can move sky-scraping fences
Out of the blue, with every moment that’s true, everything seems ethereal
I’m in depth of crescendo, rhyming with the bells, dancing with auroras
And somehow, I stopped as I remember my plethora of phobias
I let go of him, my oasis, but he’s like the wind that walked with me
Chasing past shadows, wrecked ivory towers, tricky sorceries
With him touching my hand, I let go of those fears
That smile, those eyes, those memories in radiance
With him touching my heart, he let go of me.

feelings flood my mind as I speed,
at many thousand miles air flow,
hope is dwindling, would I succeed?
could be a case of touch and go!
white clouds look on quite helplessly,
jittering firefly rumbles low,
left engine smokes perilously,
landing it would be touch and go.
four hundred lives could well be lost,
peaks of mountains covered in snow,
fear and doubt loom, better think fast,
to get across is touch and go!
past the mountains, riding on prayers,
I turn a corner circle slow,
good pilots must be good stayers,
hope in heart but still touch and go.
few miles down, see flickering lights,
runway ahead, bright dots in row,
I slant the wings, ground in my sights,
land!!! Thank God for helping me so!!

there is no more, nor is there less
it's like Alice through the looking glass
I circumvented one of the rules
now off the table what left you unglued
back to the banter, the touch and go
an even keel back to what we know
teasing thoughts and passion screams
under the moon when you fall asleep
the monsoons pass and there's thunderless sky
moving from summer into cold winter nights
you get closer as you follow your dream
brushing past the valley with old memories

When the game begins, I do not fret,
The ball about to be tipped.
It bounces toward me, and I immediately feel
The urge to drive and kick.
It comes to me, a decision I must make,
I do not have much time to think.
As soon as I feel the texture of leather,
The ball is in my court.
Defense begins to clamp its claws tightly,
In fear of what is to come.
I feel the ball leaving my fingertips,
And watch it swish through the net.
A battle we face throughout the game,
The clash of effort and hustle.
As time winds down, we begin to feel
We have won the battle this time.

TOUCH AND GO
Free birds flitting fluttering to touch and go
In ardent ardor felt immense amour.
Blazing passion glazed in gracious glow.
Short period, yet high pitch in glamour.
In ardent ardor felt immense amour
Overflowing emotive urge to full brim
Short period, yet high pitch in glamour.
Soared high, exploring sky, floating in dream.
Overflowing emotive urge to full brim
Quenched thirst drinking desires on ecstasy
Soared high, exploring sky, floating in dream,
as if sinking in fervent fantasy.
Quenched thirst drinking desires on ecstasy
Blazing passion glazed in gracious glow,
as if sinking in fervent fantasy.
Free birds flitting fluttering to touch and go.

The girl has reached the terminal
cancer creeping within her tender lungs
the drowsy eyes decline to close
lest the final sleep comes crawling
steals the beautiful world from her.
She hears a distant whisper wafts near
flowing on feeble breath telling the lungs
don’t give up yet, together let’s fight
construct the edifice of hope bit by bit
albeit the unsure mind can’t hold for long.
The girl knowing the battle is uncertain
she would surely lose, tells her mother
freeze me and keep me in a cold chamber
in the frail state of suspended animation
the way you nurtured me once in your womb .
I would live within the dubious domain
between the swathes of life and death
until they find a cure for deadly cancer
I would then sprout from hibernation
and bloom again in my beautiful garden.

I once lost a love that so deeply touched my heart,
it left me wounded; pricked by thorns that pierced my soul.
Sorrow brewed within me. Heartache, I did impart
to the point of feeling broken; no longer whole.
I withered when hearing, "Life goes on. You'll be fine."
The place I wanted to go was at my love's side.
I've been off balance, there's nothing I can align.
Life is vexing for me when I just want to hide.
I can't deny that each day has been touch and go,
prowling in shadows, searching for what I had lost,
not caring if I tumbled where fickle winds blow
or if I drowned in the sea, where memories tossed.
To be touched by love that left me so desolate
makes it hard to live. I have no move...it's stalemate.

Sonnet
throughout the day, the planes touch and go,
But where they go, I do not know.
Places far off, full of mystery.
How I want to be where those planes go.
Maybe one day I will keep up with them.
In the sky, flying far and wide.
All throughout the day, my plane would touch and go,
And where I would go, I would cherish it so.
Touch and Go.

life is a game of tag
though we tend to play it wrong
we only ever want to pat, nudge along friends
when it could be even more fun to turn the whole wide world into a playground
making it a whole lot brighter
pass along kindness
at times you won't get very far before you're it
at other times it will be a long ways
but we won't care, just laughing along
for we will not be seeking sanctification
but joy
Touching hearts with goodwill
as we travel our journeys.
