I Hope It Dies

The thought of me that came into your mind,
It grew;
It blossomed;
You thwarted it;
Hopefully you are letting it wilt and die.

I do not want to ignite old flames.
I want to believe your words were true;
After all you said them,
But my mind acts as if it has a mind of its own.
It's been months but still it will not hear the end of it.
These feelings are beginning to feel disgusting;
I hope they die.

I tell myself I need space;
Space away from you;
Honey believe me, I only believe that for a while;
Then I begin to look for you;
The you I know I will never find.
I get glad when you don't show;
When you neither call nor text;
Because if you as so much turn your head I fear I might clutch onto you;
So I hope this dies.

Then I dream of you;
You are just next to me;
You talk a lot but it feels like silence;
I smile at you;
You peak at me once or thrice,
I am reminded of our old days;
When you used to care.
I feel comforted at the same time I feel sadness
Is this what it means to be delusional?
I hope it dies

I know I love you;
I know I miss you;
I know I yearn for you;
I know I search for you;
But I can no longer differentiate between your truths and your lies;
I know my truth but I don't know what to do with it;
So I hope it all dies

Premium Member She's Thwarted His Advances For Bluer Skies

She's thwarted his advances for bluer skies

cat chasing her tail
to poking at nothing there
why is this such a fail
retrieving her blank stare

he tries again, his paws
grasping thin air
his teeth into her jaw
for answers to her impair

he scowls, then paces to scare
purring none the less
as his eyes scream and glare
at her mandates digress

come on what's up with you
he would say if he were a man
did you forget the screws
that drill holes into your playpen

hot under the collar he yells
get yourself ready, he stews
under hell bells
I'm taking you without further ado

she looks back at him and laughs
as a she sees a molly walk by
laying the wood into her chaff
sorry females are my bluer skies

Thwarted

thwarted are
your attempts to
sway me

simply put;
I have moved
on.

whatever
your motivation
may be

guaranteed,
I'm much too
strong.

Premium Member Bullies Thwarted Again

We bullies jeered and we hooted.
We were big and bad and mean.
We told everyone he tooted
We called him Navy Bean.

We made fun of his homemade clothes,
We called him crazy and unclean.
We laughed at his gigantic nose,
We were bullies, fresh and mean.

He was a child who did not care.
Worse, he laughed and smiled at us.
We did not understand this impetuous air.
He could not be riled, that cuss!

Angry now, we pulled out all the stops.
We went to his house to get tips from his brother.
His bro gave us insight that was tops.
"You cannot get his goat. You have not met our mother."

His mama chased us with a rake and hot sticks,
She smacked our butts and she called us mean names.
Now we could understand his calm cool tricks,
We could not get his goat, with our childish games.

So we forgot this stupid ugly fool,
And teased two other kids at school.
These two idiots cried and they wailed like they were supposed to do.
And we were happy again, knowing we had made them decidedly blue.

Premium Member Tsk Tsk, Task Nearly Thwarted

Mary Lou Sims was young and enterprising, like stars routing dark;
Or mauve dawn on the verge of discovery, awaiting time's remarks.

Mary Lou's best friend was Cora Mann, ever since sweet childhood;
When they'd sat in zesty school together, in the town of 'Wildwood.'

They dreamed of opening an antique shop, like an old rose garden;
Awash in butterscotch sun's long memory, scents roaming, wanton.

Other friends visited Mary Lou frequently, like frilly clouds visit sun;
Avid for frothy, plum memories, like formal moon, beyond the fallen.

Family favored Mary Lou with visits, on flowering Fridays of her life;
As raspberry filled a backdrop of days, and plumed flocks were rife.

She lived in the house of tasks and haste, like pink stars, ever shining;
Or butterflies laboring in flowers, near the place of wisteria, climbing.

Striped scarlet seized colorful dawn, on a street of transient starlings;
Where sassy Mary Lou resided, when ravens spread their dark wings..

And neon hues lit noisy nightfall, when nomad neighbors came calling;
In now moments of now and then, when time notably, stops crawling.

'Elephant foot' plants shook earth, while swan flowers glided, moonlit.
Then 'mermaid plants' dove at dusk, as weeping begonias cried a bit.

'Sorceress blue rose' bewitched all, as jade spiral cacti dizzily twirled;
And 'curly locks orchid,' combed her tresses, under starlight, pearled.

Mary Lou and Cora, were closer to their dream. A loan was approved;
And Mary Lou wrote a note to friend, Cora, like colors of joy, suffused.

Mary Lou gathered other letters to be mailed, and also the one to Cora,
With joyful news of the rest of their lives, like mulberry skies of aurora.

She toted and mailed the letters, using a basket, of yellow and green;
Yet, with no word from Cora, worried she was having doubts. Unseen!

But, elation returned when a boy rang her bell, with the letter she'd lost,
For, some acts of kindness are so great, that you could not place a cost!

'A-tisket a-tasket
A green and yellow basket
I wrote a letter to my friend
And on the way I dropped it,
I dropped it, I dropped it,
And on the way I dropped it.
A little boy he picked it up
And put it in his pocket.'

The Blood of Flies

I chase my dream
until, at last, it dies.
Then write my poems
with the blood of flies.

Break of Day Spawns Thwarted Revanchist Rebellion Among Biosphere

The last trailing tendril filaments
of moon beams nocturnally trace
fashion an illusory gilded chariot Ark,
whence upon celestial runners,
the approach of dawn's early light
illuminated terrestrial space
which nebulous solar city flanges
revisited since time millennial
hubbub of human race
nsync with Zodiacal constellations,
which appear to shift

as planet Earth axis place
alternated in accordance with
inexplicable universal teenage
mutant Ninja turtles joint pact
with power rangers assumption
sans quotidian playstation remotely
controlled by aliens upon
oblate spheroid figurative stage
set whence commencement nudged
village people foment quiet riot rage
and rant against

uncontrollable catastrophic frenzy,
when cosmic creator
rehearses another page
from playbook, which
color coded cobbled Bible
emanates with radiant hues
of yellow and osage
nonetheless, no mortal adept to predict
(only within plus and/or minus
some marginal variance of error).

oft times punishing atmospheric phenomena

challenging condition testing ground

whereat most hardy

linkedin upon terra firmae

sprinting thru uber vanguard,
where zero sum game pitted

living things poorly sparred mismatched
against itching attired egghead,
kickstarting netzero beastie boys
indeed emulating hotmail prodigies
holding greensward ground.

going full throttle with pings
across biological labyrinth

within soil lent green grubby business
whereby herb and woody stemmed
recalcitrant proto flings

gave Gaia a run for her money
to buy Buffalo wings
chasing miscreants nimbly
outwitting, out-rigging
outsmarting nettlesome stings,
and sage protuberant fungi,
released messengers where rise home
spore ports left nada mushroom,
though symbiosis wood
bark a roll a cord.

Premium Member Witch Wilma is Thwarted by a Wiley Wizard

Witch Wilma’s accurate abracadabras no longer work
Wiley wizard had jinxed her, that mean little jerk!
She had to give up favorite kinds of bewitching
Which made her pimply purple nose go wild with twitching
Incantations and spells are now a thing of the past
Mumbo jumbo sabotage of that little creep better not last!

Premium Member Thwarted Vows

You hastily spilled a loaded jar of stained language.
Sky aglow by a rainbow, as sunsets below a ledge.
Pouring a layer of dullness into a pristine scene.
Murky clouds have drowned the gentle sunshine.

Unscrupulous guarantees, sand-tidied venturing,
And the heart will stow away in the way they review.
In the azure sky, golden rings are instantly plunging.
Blackbirds crow around humans peacefully withdrew.

Storm haze from a weakening typhoon stream.
Realizing the window curtains inhibit late-day sun.
This fear involves a torrential downpour dream.
Nowhere for adoration untamed stallion to run,

He wanders around this forsaken dust bowl land.
Without a stated objective, just a promise in hand.
Dreams of enigmatic and utterly ease dry,
The rises speak culpability as they move away.

Written; December 26, 2021

A fearful mind approves each deft move.
As a roving lout, I have a soft spot and am sensitive.
Your clarion call ought to be a full-scale disorder.
I'm weaving dim deceptions over my slander.

Thwarted

They say that it’s smart, and ultimately wise,
for many passwords a person to devise,
to protect access and block meddling hands,
stopping those e-thieves and other brigands.

So I make up code words, a vast array,
I must use one hundred during the day,
mostly at work and definitely home,
and with the laptop wherever I roam.

I use variations from all seven children,
brothers and sisters, nicknames and given,
combinations of numerals important to me,
one that included a grand forty-three.

In the game rooms I’m studlymanone,
Though used awesomelovr for a short run.
Employed every pet name I’ve ever had,
Buttons, and Curly, and Slobberdogbad.

Some are so secret, I can’t tell you here,
and I change them, three times a year.
So now I’m safe and online protected,
any intrusion quickly detected.

But now I’m stalled like a morning commuter,
cause I forgot the code to unlock my computer!

Premium Member Thwarted By Grandma Spirit

Sixteen, and in love with seventeen.
Madly, utterly, totally, completely
I will immerse myself in him tonight
I will feed all of my desires.
I will be more of a woman than any
woman ever was before tonight.

I have everything I need,
because I have him.
The feelings I get when I am with
him make me want to put on sexy clothes and
dance a love dance, something provocative.

I will choose my clothes carefully.
Something that makes me look good enough
to eat, something that will entice him into doing
what I have been wanting him to do.
What? How can you tell my mother?
She doesn’t even believe people can communicate
after they have passed over.
She thinks you are in heaven where you should be.

So you are going to stop me?
That is hilarious! I would like to see you try it.
Come on, Grandma! This is not funny!
I had no idea you could control an electronic dashboard.
This is exasperating! I would have never confided in you if I
had thought you would be this mean.
Dhramn, being thwarted by a spirit is frustrating!

Thwarted

I am thwarted

At every turn and twist

To hit the ultimate creative,

I weave and tangle every word

In an effort to be heard,

To write the perfect poetry

To showcase my spirituality,

To hit home with a message of love and peace

I search for words to encompass me

Into a realm of popularity,

That then may start helping others see

That life is all about conscious reality,

And not this fake illusory

That we exist in constantly.
