Best Thoughtlessly Poems

Premium Member 'beach Buddies' Collect 'stuff' - For Contest

Twice a month on our tiny little Isle
A group of heroes go that extra mile
Wearing protective clothing they clean the beach
Removing vast amounts of rubbish within their reach
Plastic bottles, fast food containers and tins
Items tossed away so thoughtlessly – it’s a sin
So many marine animals can get tangled in discarded plastic
They need our protection, or the results could be very drastic
Hundreds of bin bags of rubbish are removed from our beach
Restoring them to beauty, now they are as pretty as a peach
Volunteers work tirelessly with amazing solidarity
To help ‘Beach Buddies’ which is a registered charity

Premium Member Infamous Icon

Should I enhance my recognition
by defiantly treading on an innocent heart?
Or perhaps mine is a sin of omission,
fleeing with fame a la carte,
while thoughtlessly tearing another soul apart.

What reward can be found
as I stomp on another’s dreams,
leaving them quaking on the ground
where incivility screams
and not one ray of light beams?

Perhaps there is more joy in obscurity
than in fame that grows from ill roots.
Before me is an angel basking in purity
besieged by destructive brutes –
wolves dressed in lambs’ suits.

My soul will not let me go there –
to that place where evils dwell.
Entrust my fate to a prayer
that self-promoting acts cannot dispel
the eternal fires of an infamous hell.

Premium Member Angles

If only angles could be calculated by degrees of truth,
Counted along perpendicularities measured by parallel reasons.

If only spheres were round,
Found amongst the globes hovering in the heavens we've named Space.

Circling nuclei like electrons to an atom, orbiting thoughtlessly around a point that never proved itself.

Heat and light suffice reason, it seems.

To be and hither thither, round about we go, whether poisoned entrails grow.

Math were to be the way to see,
Rather than moth to flame,
Until recently, it seems.
Counting pasts and futures has become futile, when the present takes both for granted.

If only we could count the circles round we've been,
If only we could swing in tune to frequent hymn,
If only we could see that out is what's within,
Then we'd learn of curve, sine and reason.

Premium Member Anger- POTD

‘Anger is one letter short of danger.’
Excess of it, our life can endanger.
Anger when grown into aggression and violence,
Works in vicious ways and is a great malaise
It fosters hatred and ruptures many hearts,
Angry words can wound and pierce like darts.

But Anger becomes a sublime emotion,
If we know how to handle it without explosion.
It becomes sometimes so constructive,
Quashing the fallacy that anger at all costs is disruptive.
Many a time it has proved so positive.
And sometimes it turns very productive.
When anger is turned against situations
And not against people aiming at their degradation.

It enables us to rectify the discrepancies,
Through our resentment to change the disparities.
It fuels us with the energy to voice against injustice.
Bringing solutions to the voiceless in their crisis.

But never let anger consume your heart and soul.
It sure will take a mighty toll.
When anger bubbles and boils, catch the cue.
Wait a minute before the fire devours you.

As humans, we are likely to lose our temper.
But remember, to it, never surrender!
Holding a long-standing. grudge,
Is like having an unerasable smudge.
It will always leave a stain,
And lead us to irrepressible pain.

However, it is not advisable to suppress anger,
It can lead to irreparable danger.
But remember, when emotions of hatred are let loose,
There is hardly any chance for a truce.

A person under violent rage
Is like a prisoner in a cage.
Anger, more often is a negative emotion.
Landing us in violent commotion.
Anger against people steals all our energy,
But when it aims at solutions, it enhances synergy.

When angry, forgetting all decorum, one may shout.
Don’t let your resentment thoughtlessly blurt out.
Never let the tongue make a tempestuous tirade.
Tackle this tiny tab of tissue and tame its blade!

Premium Member Man and Nature

Once Man,

Nature’s forgiveness implored,

For

Crimes humanity has, against the environment

Committed

 And

Sincerely, his serious concern expressed for the

Peril, the whole planet was in, because of

Man’s doing

Nature, attentively, listened to every word, Man,

Wished so much to say,

Then, turning towards him, with great emphasis

Declared:

“Worry not about me, my very dear child

For

Ample time to recover I would have, soon after

Your upcoming disappearance

Which

For long now, you, so thoughtlessly, have yourself

arranged!”

Animal of the Night

The animal of the night has an evil courage as its defense,
And with simple lies it now catches the filthy beast easily,
And can now stand and bask in God’s purest of sunshine,
Whilst valor and glory speak all power to one’s destiny!

Darkness doth now pervade and drinks slowly from that
“Chalice of the Faithless Heathen” who hides among the
Soulless Ones who are consumed by their hateful actions,
And spit thoughtlessly at your good will and human pride!

Hades’ very own dark demons tilt their evil night shades
While justifying the hurt and depravity of an “Ugly Brute”;
A truly lost soul without any mercy, blind—as “He” throws
Freely a nasty spiteful spirit on your earthly fire of reality!

Hence, Hades’ mark and mask of utter darkness and terror
Descend now into the very conscience of your Spirit World;
Burning hot with the force of “The Furies” seeking revenge:
Tisiphone, Megaera, and Alecto all appear sans Merci now!

As their eternal gorgonesque spirits creep upon you furtively,
Your once handsome visage turns into a sad and horrid portrait
Of an old animal soul in the mirror never to see the Light again,
As clouds darkly shade your horizon and fate in Hades’ name!

In this eternal land of darkness, the dead do not suffer this fate
So easily, and cast not without honor in their chains the notion
That fear itself, vice destiny, cries out now for your forgiveness,
As One-Eyed Beggars seek and see the basic good within you!

Each day now fades into its own doom, into a dark mist of evil,
And hides carefully inside a “Mountain of Consciousness” where
Your ethereal spirit knows who you really are—as black snakes
slither slowly and silently toward your spirit-mirrored reflection!

You—that “Animal of the Night,” wear now your deceptive mask;
The reality of who and what you really are makes my skin crawl!
You can never return from this darkest “Pit of Hell” my old friend,
For thy animal-human spirit is doomed to all this darkness forever!

Premium Member Extinction Is Forever

He wakes as sun surrenders to nightfall;
emitting a haunting howl, he rises to prowl.
Bright amber eyes fixate on sources of nourishment.

Leaving his protected den in Yellowstone,
gray predator becomes the prey.
Just feet beyond the National Park
farmers shoot to protect livestock.

Defenders of Wildlife beg of Congress
“Stop the shooting!
Ensure the future of once-endangered wolves!”

Regal kings of the mountains and prairies,
nearly extinct in the ‘30s,
rebounded but are still vulnerable.

Their future rests in the hands of man,
a species that exterminates thoughtlessly,
posing threats to many of nature’s gifts.

Wild one, remain in protected areas.
Survive and thrive; extinction is forever.
Mankind’s death knell tolls for too many.

* Information on the gray wolf is provided by “Defenders of Wildlife,” a U.S. group that works to protect many endangered species. Each day we lose 25 to 150 animal species. Pantoum For the Promiscuous

We're not supposed to act like sheep
just because He is The Shepherd.
He is much more inclined to weep
when we refuse to heed His Word.

Just because He is The Shepherd,
our blind-born sins torment Him so.
When we refuse to heed His Word
we defile more than we can know.

Our blind-born sins torment Him so
as our freewill we waste away.
We defile more than we can know
when with sly Lust we choose to lay.

As our freewill we waste away -
just because we may feel “left out”:
when with sly Lust we choose to lay;
oft sleeping thoughtlessly about.

Just because we may feel left out,
we ignore our blessed patient guide:
oft sleeping thoughtlessly about,
from honest conscience seek to hide.

We ignore our blessed patient guide,
while truest Love looks helpless on.
From honest conscience we seek to hide,
fearing the chance of "bliss" is gone.

While truest Love looks helpless on,
He is more inclined to weep:
fearing the chance of bliss is gone.
We're not supposed to act like sheep.

He

Men cannot be trusted
emotionless and hardened,
They tend to be aggressive
Then thoughtlessly are pardoned.

Promiscuously driven
With ego swelling large,
They're loud, endowed and over proud
And in your life they'll barge!

They see vastly different
They see a girl- a prize,
Their honesty is always great
Until they just tell lies.

They'll blame you for everything
They'll treat you as a game,
They're really not so interesting
Predictable and lame.

Hence before you run away
To whatever you have lusted,
Take heed of what I say...
For men should not be trusted.

Now, I could back this poem up
With proof of evidence,
As damages that most men do
Is astronomically immense.

Though I’m sure when they do read this
They’ll hate and much resent
The honesty and forthrightness
From a poetess unbent.

Yes we need to put them in their place
Before problems rise again
Wars and violence amongst our silence
All due to stupid men.

Though I wonder Joe and all that know
Andy and Big Randy
So I’ll admit just a bit
Men can be soooo handy !

And I’m fortunate to know
Good mans’ integrity
The ones who care a very rare
And voice this literally.

Though I’ve generalised and chastised
The ones not up to speed
I’ll be fair and I’ll share
Men…I know we need.

They’re great when they are good
Respectable and kind
They can be the bestest friends
And ease our worried mind.

Baby boys so wonderful
And innocence impart
Uplifting me, will always be
Forever in my heart.

The he whose not corrupted
It’s him I do commend
And loyal I will always be
To a good true friend.

How brothers I have missed you
Through the push and shove
And I am grateful never hateful
For platonic love…

Here here I’m not so sexist
Indifferent, a goner,
As I think of he who strengthens me
'tis he, I love and honour.

Idioma

11/29/2015

Idioma

There is a man with a gun.
His finger taut,
tensed and still,
the intention obvious,
no reason instilled.

Because guns kill people.
Or do people kill people?
I can never remember.
Let's take a look at entropy.
A molecule hits a molecule
hits a molecule and
BOOM - a bomb.
Thousands dead.
More on the way.
But of course that's a bit clumsy,
seeing that entropy's remorse
only marginally taps the
frayed edges of something,
Atomic.
So what stops it?
Science might tell us
Energy.
That’s a bit broad though.

Come back to the man with the gun.
Naturally he's drunk,
and not a man,
an adolescent.
Waving the gun -
the weapon in your face.
He points it at you.
So what do you do?
What can you do?

One might pray
and hope his hand is stayed,
for in the land of entropy learned helplessness breeds
Power.
And the masses will pray and cower.
Some might fight,
or fly,
in instinctual flurry.
But these options are
few and far
too crude for more, sophisticated tastes.
So this sophistication leads us...
Ah, but sophistication sounds so posh.
Let's instead call this
Order.

And so you order,
Yell,
or speak,
rather;
yelling is so harsh.
You speak,
maybe even
whisper.

You don't want to antagonize this
kid
willing to put a hole in you
- you in a hole -
covered by the thoughtlessly certain curtain of
uneasy infinity.

So you,
oh so subdued,
whisper,
Please.

But a simple please
has never gotten
anyone anywhere
worth being,
so you follow up with
a more firm

Stop.

And in his inebriation,
the most powerful
being in your world stumbles
upon a moment
of lucidity.
His finger slips,
sending a .45 caliber
bullet - lead some might call it,
but this is grossly anachronistic -
into your frontal lobe
and out your cerebral cortex.

Enter.
Exit.

An open system.
Because in an entropic world,
Language languishes in its ephemeral rags
and is wasted away by greater things.

Premium Member One Wild Flower

A wild flower, grew up through
a crack in the pavement, I wondered,
why already not trampled
by so many preoccupied feet?

Sat I down on a
park-bench, further pondering this yellow
charmer, to which I cordially gave greet --

“little tenant,” oh just missed another!

Thinking I saw it, knowingly parry aside;

(one wild flower, persistent, determined
not its beauty to hide.)

Unaware came a team of training joggers,
in colorful, striped briefs; legs and tennis shoes
thoughtlessly-trouncing-everywhere –

Feared I this brave little trooper had finally been
dealt its fatal wild share -- the wind of the runners' healthful,
self-indulgent passing, seemed more a cyclone of careless,
petulant stomping – no sense a little blossom would
they spare!

Deeply rooted in soil, it could not retreat, without vocal
cords it could not plead a shriek – could not shield itself
from such crushing, annihilating defeat.

Sat there I a sad bit longer -- would not dare open my eyes, felt
a tear slipping, my heart seeming knee-deep in morbid dripping.
Smeared blossom, and grieving sunbeams, saw I like a funeral's
dark-arm-band – a segment of my bright world, had just tragically
ended...gone with the lone blossom's, last futile, floral stand –

till a child opened my eyes, making me take peak,

a sweet little voice, not the least tinge bleak, as they carefully parted: “Oh
mother, isn’t that dandelion so dashingly chic!?

Cut Apart

Cut away the shame
The shame that drives us all insane
Insane animals we’ve become in our pain
Our pain is the oasis of your soul's spirit within
In the times of tribulation, always remember
Always remember to believe in yourself and as for me
As for me, I will ride the rollercoaster of tears inside
The tears inside are filled with fears and cheers of all kinds
All kinds of guilt engulfs me as a whole
As a whole, I feel so weak and useless
Useless as a rusty tool in the rain of grief that leads to naught
Naught is what I ended up with when I feel all alone
All alone in a sense…God forgives my rebelliousness and sees my innocence
My innocence is what He simply adores and oversees my sins of youthful days
Youthful days spent in the prison of my crooked passions and disarrays
Disarrays fade away…oh thank you, God…
God looks after me like a hawk to its prey; I am praying…
Praying to the Lord for you to be my moon of I’ll-see-you-soon
Soon enough, you and I will be together and make a friendship bond beyond our own
Our own loneliness hits us to the core
To the core is how you cut me deep
You cut me deep in shamefulness thoughtlessly
Thoughtfully, I am cutting away at the shame
The shame that cut you and I apart

I'M Your Last Shelter

Come to me, pretty boy,
Not knowing that you are going to die.
You're a nice guy, tanned,
You will leave the firmament of the earth.

You think you've won me over,
And the heart is full of passion?
Oh no, there's darkness and fire magic
And before you know it, you'll come to your senses.

I will close my mouth with a kiss forever,
And he will die thoughtlessly, unattractively.
But he's not that kind of person,
Once even dead looks arrogant.

I will hide my fervent heart far away,
Why would a soulless creature need it now?
So stupid he got caught and easy,
And his death will save me from decay.

His soul, the pledge for eternal life.
I'll pay the ransom to live forever,
Only his blood will spray on his lips,
And the Grimoire will probably show its speed.

I haven't lived among people for a hundred years,
And a lot of souls have already been given away.
I'm not afraid of anyone's Holy lash.
The religion of the people was forged by deception.

And after death nothing awaits us,
There is no life or death penalty.
Believe me, no one lives twice.
There is no truth more sad.

Water Pollution

My son showed me a picture on mobile
It was beach scene after high tide
There were plastic bottles and debris all around
Sea had thrown out debris after high tide.

He said " Look at this!
Is this how educated people behave?
Why can't people carry water from home?
Why can't they put empty bottle in dustbin?
Are they senseless?
Throwing empty bottles and debris in water without any thought of water pollution and marine animals!
Why are people so selfish?
Why they act thoughtlessly?"

I had no answer!
I merely said "I agree!"
