Man and Nature

Once Man,

Nature’s forgiveness implored,

For

Crimes humanity has, against the environment

Committed

 And

Sincerely, his serious concern expressed for the

Peril, the whole planet was in, because of

Man’s doing

Nature, attentively, listened to every word, Man,

Wished so much to say,

Then, turning towards him, with great emphasis

Declared:

“Worry not about me, my very dear child

For

Ample time to recover I would have, soon after

Your upcoming disappearance

Which

For long now, you, so thoughtlessly, have yourself

arranged!”

Perfectly accurate, yet man is sadly blind to his destructive ways. Terrific write Demetrios! Hugs

It does give one a certain amount of solace to know that the earth will still be here after we no longer are . . and that in time it will become rejuvenated and pristine once more. Balanced and well ordered without man here to desecrate. My eldest son and I have often come to the same conclusion that you so aptly have put into poetic context. Very nice!

I am afraid that Man has taken more than enough and now the balance has been disturbed and the consequences will be very grave and unfortunately, it is rather extremely difficult Man to reverse the situation, dear Jan! Thank you so much! Hugs

Unfortunately, my good friend, Eve, there are so many that do not understand the consequences of their actions upon the planet and on our lives! They care only for the here, now and me! We all will pay the price, innocent or not! Thank you so much for caring!

We are the caretakers of this earth blessed by the bounty of Mother nature. If we continue to abuse her we will pay the price. Greed and avarice of man is causing the loss of balance and withoout this eco balance we won't survive. Your poem stresses that man open his eyes to our planet's distress before it is too late. 7 my friend.

Yes, dear Connie, we supposed to be the caretakers of this earth but along the way we became her dynast! Thank you so much for your gracious visit and comment not to forget your generosity!

Nature is very forgiving, despite all the abuse, still it continues to give, and give and give until it has nothing left. So, the biting sarcasm is apt...haha. 7 salutes, sire. :)

Oh, yes, nature is very forgiving till the moment it has to protect itself then it takes the necessary measures, inherited in her system, as to preserve the harmony, our Lord in His wisdom, has intended to! Thank you so much dear, Kim, for your kind comment and visit!

You are so right, dear Anne-Lise, nature was delivered to us a jewel by our creator but we have tarnished this gem with our hubris! Thank you for your wonderful comment and generous grading!

How powerful, my dear sweet poet. Nature cries out against the abuses suffered by man, but man is digging his own grave. So thoughtful and expressively creative. Kalimera!! Elpizo ese kala.
