Place your hand upon my coat,
Watch me shiver so,
Pure ecstasy with you I feel,
Through my eyes I touch your soul.

For ill be there at your waking,
My tail, wagging to and fro.
In the evening bring you comfort,
When the days, stress has took its toll.

Can there be a friend so loyal,
Who will be there when you call?
In this ever changing world,
Some things never change at all.

Just a Thoughtful Thought

Congenial spirit,

Lavish me with overflowing waters,
...fill me with a love indefatigable
O' the bliss of feeling, never falters,
supersensual of the unexplainable...

Indwelleth understanding's tears of joy
like luminescent layers of a pearl,
gently clothed by an heavenly envoy
...life of love to be,surreal.

Congenial spirit,
soothe me with angelic gentleness
eternal bliss with everlasting happiness...

Sonnet To Thoughtful Women

I did not wish to leave your warm embrace --
I did not wish for our sweet love to end --
And though your chauvinism's a disgrace,
I cannot help but see you as a friend.
Perhaps someday a sweeter girl you'll find,
Who'll do just as you wish for her to do --
A girl who doesn't have a thoughtful mind,
So she can focus all she is on you.
She'll nod her head, and brainlessly agree
With anything you say, to make you smile --
She'll cook your meals and serve you honeyed tea,
   And never stop her chatter all the while;
So when your brain cells rot from lack of use,
You've only you to blame, and no excuse.

Thoughtful Junk

I am the jolly lollypop
I tickle your tongue and make you hop
My sour and sweet and tangy flavour
Will make you forget all the day's labour.

I am the wafery ice cream cone
With a red juicy cherry on my crown
You should eat me so quickly
If not I will melt softly.

I am the creamy butter Pastry
You find me in every pantry
I am the guest of all the happy hours
I spread smiles when gifted with flowers.

I am the cheesy hot pizza
My spices turn you into a dancing diva
Red peppers on a crunchy crust will blow your tastebuds
My different flavours become your all-time favorites.

We all make you happy just for a while
And we do a least good for your lifestyle
Eat us once or twice a month
Vote for mommy's food for a good health

Premium Member Be Thoughtful of Others

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by
the seeds that you plant. ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

When sowing in a fallow field
A bumper crop you'll hope to yield
For many folks, do a good deed
Think of others when planting seed

Share your harvest and you will find
Daily blessings for being kind
Don't desire avarice or greed
Think of others when planting seed

Do not have a bad attitude
For everything show gratitude
Tomorrow you just might succeed
Think of others when planting seed

May your garden be filled with sprouts
And your days not be plagued by doubts
Do not allow contempt to breed
Think of others when planting seed

Your days will bear sweet ripened fruit
And grow when love has taken root
Keep your field free of tangled weeds
Think of others when planting seeds

Premium Member Interlude of Solitude

Self instructs, subject of own inspection
Sole idle suffuses our organic
Implicit say overcomes suggestion
Ideal sanctity outlives semantics

Isolated in single origin
Slaughters overt outside influences
Ordaining serene inspires sovereign

Premium Member A Thoughtful Title Is Title of Your Thoughts

There is no mystery to giving poem a title,
in most cases that job is quite simple,
if you write about a thing call it that thing,
You write about bluebells do not call it oranges,
and the reverse also holds true.
an ode is easy because it is what it is,
an ode to autumn is not about spring!
the problem is when you tell a story,
your title shouldn’t reveal the ballad’s plot,
when you write about emotions like love,
your title should capture the pain it caused,
if your verse is about events or memories,
let title ensnare your reader in its web,
and pull them deep into vortex of feelings,
till swept by thoughts that bring tears.
if you write a nursery rhyme,
keep it straight, colourful and easy!
if you don’t like titles then write sonnets,
and do exactly what Shakespeare did,
give them numbers…

Thoughtful Nile

If this dance be the last
For I see them throwing spears -
Not for its sport
This dance, a shrilling one.
When we come home for showers
Diapers of our babies, drenched,
Such aroma; a sweet-sour tale to tell
For being ready was the dance for...
Only the dead wishes not for this dance
But the living accustomed to its essence

Such a dance we struggle to get
Yet, a dance we fear to leave
Nor a dance to tango for!

Premium Member The Mirror of Stupidity

People love to believe stupid things. Some of us find it hard to believe stupid things and laugh at those who do, until someone laughs at us for something we believe and somehow didn't realize was stupid.

Thoughtful Thoughts

The furniture, Tell, them it's the furniture, The chair is heavy, And the blanket is warm, For me to go there, I would have to be here, For you go there, I would have to be... Somewhere where the new moon rises, And the blind people sing, About the Glorious Love, That they share, That they are, That they give, In essence, you, me, that tree, those animals, that day, Always inside of you, me, those trees, those animals, those days - See more at: http://allpoetry.com/poem/11799280-Thoughtful-Thoughts-by-KRD#sthash.iy0m4aLa.dpuf

Premium Member A Thoughtful Valentine

Such silence in the morning hours
Soft azure skies, clouds white and fluffy
Crows, the family three
Have taken over the shed
The trees the fence
Claiming it as their own
Their caws and hisses
Scuffles with the squirrels
Blacks and grays, beauties all
Hence my animal sanctuary

Doctors and nurses and surgeons
My life a medical museum
Yet there are moments
Between apps and tax rumbles
Attempts to pull me back into
The era before the surgeries,
And life struggles, there are moments
When we remember other times

With hopes and wishes that
Although it won’t be the same
Through the struggles and the pains
Yes something is lost
But truly there is something retained
For Valentines bring all the wishes
Of thoughtful love and kisses.

The Thoughtful Girl and the Foolish Boy

A girl was leaning on the window;
She was quiet
- apparently -
but in her silence,
she frowned her face,
narrowed her eyes;
she was thinking,
so thoughtful as the deep skies.

“Hey, thoughtful Girl,
why leaning so somber,
can’t you see so many stars ?
Tell me, their brightness is not a reason
to frown less ?”

“Hey boy, I do see so many stars…
and tried to count them in pairs
but then I noticed:
Why am I so far from them?”

“Wondering Girl,
so a star you would be
and just shine and never wonder…
ah, it can lead you so afar.”

“It may be so, it may be so.”

“Thinking girl, look down;
beneath your window,
flourishes a garden.
Lets pick Daises, Roses Lilies
and even Poppies…
Let’s scent their perfume,
caress their petals,
play with their colors
and even sing their music.”

“Oh, boy, let them be…
Between a bouquet and me –
I will always refuse to be.
They are so appealing
with such deep fragrance…
A single flower I wanted to be.”

“Oh, pray the gods no, pray the poet yes.”

“I just want to know why…”,
and she closed the window.

“Thinking girl, thinking girl,
I forgot why as you leaned on the window,
when I was passing by thinking to myself:
Who would like to be my star?”

Premium Member Such Thoughtful Gifts - For Chris

We met up for a coffee
to enjoy a ‘little chat’
and catch up on the gossip
I guess most gals do that!

Chris gave me a bag of goodies
it sure gave my heart a lift
A puzzle book to keep me busy
was a very thoughtful gift

A box of hand made ginger fudge
and a bar of Cadbury’s choc
I’ll be ripping off their wrappers -
good job they don’t have a padlock!

The final gift really made me smile
a pocket sized pack of little tissues
for mopping up tears of laughter
and not for hubbies cancer issues!

I met up with my wonderful friend Chris a couple of days before we flew off for my hubby to start his cancer treatment, her gifts were absolutely perfect especially the puzzle book as there is a lot of waiting around time and who doesn’t need candy to give them a lift!

Steve, the Thoughtful Stegosaurus

Steve the Stegosaurus seemed an awful grumpy fellow,
All he did was stomp about, and how he roared and bellowed.
All the other dinosaurs knew he was around,
The noise he made was deafening, and tremors shook the ground.

Danny the Diplodocus said he'd have a word,
For Steve the Stegosaurus, was acting quite absurd.
He said " tell me Steve, what is up with you,
The place is in an uproar, we don't know what to do."

He said, "I'm a Stegosaurus you can't say I'm petite,
I mean just take a look, have you not seen my feet?
I don't mean to be so noisy but I bellow every day,
It's just so the little ones can get out of my way."

"Oh Steve, said Danny, just you roar and bellow,
None of us ever knew that you were such a thoughtful fellow."
And so Steve he bellows, they hear him every day,
"Here comes thoughtful Steve" they say,
....as they move out of his way.
