Superman has always been a superhero of mine
One of my favorites of all and that with me is more than fine.
Superman he's so handsome and he's so very cool
He can fly!And he's so bright,smart,and he's never a fool.

Superman in his superhero outfit looks so sharp and good
And for truth and justice for anyone always proud stood
There's no one in the world like Christopher Reeves as Superman
Superman fights for everything that stands for good and that's his plan.

Superman, fight for the American way and has tons of die-hard devoted fans
He always comes shining thru for all, evil in all his films he bans
Superman in the world of superheroes is my number one and many of us agreed
No other superhero can ever beat him with all its unique attributes indeed.

So you think you are like Superman
Pop a pill and you can fly
Beware of what you are really taking
To get an illegal high

The new superman pills can be fatal
They don’t give you an immediate hit
The slow release effect can be deceitful
You need to be made very aware of it

No high comes … you simply can’t wait
Beware Superman has yet to take effect
Pop another pill and seal your deathly fate
Overdosing is fatal this fact you can’t neglect

So you think you are like Superman
Pop a pill and you can fly
The tragic reality of taking these drugs
They are causing too many people to DIE

I'M Superman

I'm an alien from Krypton and I'm able to fly.
I'm Superman and bullets don't make me die.
Bombs, tanks and nuclear weapons can't kill me either, I'm invulnerable.
I save at least fifty people every day, that's amazing and it's pretty cool.
Usually, the only thing that can kill me is Kryptonite.
But I did die when Doomsday and I had a massive fight.
We beat each other to death but I was able to return.
My death made many cry, I was touched by their concern.
I have X-ray vision and I can see through everything except lead.
Lex Luthor hates my guts and he says he won't rest until I'm dead.
Last week there was a forest fire and I put it out with my ice breath.
When I got through blowing on that fire, there was none of it left.
I can also make laser beams come out of my eyes.
When people see me, they say "There's the man who flies."
I have a girl who I love more than life itself, her name is Lois Lane.
When I'm Superman, she's nice but when I'm Clark Kent, she's a pain.
Some people call me a miracle but I don't think that's true.
If you're ever in danger, just call my name and I'll save you.

(This poem is based on the DC Comic Book that was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.)

Cape, strength and the mask- of one in disguise
dawn, the light shinning through- here in my world
Oh.. to see your identity- those eyes
Dodging everything at you being whirled

My Superman!! Defender of things right
Power, your ability to stand tall
here in my world, shining through, is your light
lift me where I belong- above it all

A fairy-tail, a fantasy, some bliss
truth, somersaults- while flying out of sight
My hero- you are something just like this
Dodging everything, even Kryptonite

Cape, strength and the mask- of one in disguise
Oh.. to see your identity- those eyes

I have babysat a roomful of six year olds,
my heart beating louder than a pack of screaming hyenas.

I walked out with them quiet and safe in their parents arms.

I improvised a speech to an audience of millionaire entrepreneurs
that ended in a standing 'O'.

Often I danced with titanic sharks,
and even French Kissed Killer Whales.

I have slept deep in the grip of ink black jungles
on mid summer nights, no dream.

Once I hung on with two broken arms
five hundred feet above my demise, without a whimper.

I skated through fields of dead bodies
in not just one but two very nasty wars.

Played tag with the devil and in the end hung
his left horn above my fireplace,
yeah my fireplace I owed him that.

I swam naked on the crest of a waterfall
from the top of its peak to the concrete sheet at its bottom.

Many times, I have partied with death,
her bones drenched in the fluids of our perverse acts,
but not once did she leave the party with me on her arm.

But please,

don't,

She takes her wand a sugar cane long
And waves it in the air singing a song
She likes to make her heroic cape
From collard green leaves that she crochet

She makes her brazier from coconuts
With licorice straps sticky to touch
Her bald head blessed with a crown
from grapevines with grapes hanging down

Her skin is thin from all the chemo
She is stronger than superman in her soul-food soul
She uses cotton candy to make her socks
Shoes so fancy by Goldilocks

Bet you never again will see
A skirt made of dried fruit candy
Yellow sun rays shine on her face
Fighting cancer with food in more than one way

Superman

Today’s the day that Superman
Fell to earth and couldn’t stand
He lit upon his neck all wrong
And found he was no longer strong
His super powers gone all right
His horse’s name – old Kryptonite

Mdailey	5/27/11

Actor Christopher Reeve (Superman) was paralyzed when thrown from his horse
during a jumping event in Charlottesville, Virginia on May 27, 1995

Superman

Superman
My superman
He doesn't wear a long red cape or fly in the air
he can't kill off evil villains with the power of a single glare
But what he does have is rare and cannot be seen
I can't see no wrong in him, he's hardly ever mean
He has a heart so pure and a charm so sweet I think he's heaven sent
All the girls get googly eyes but they can't have my Mr. Clark Kent
But ladies don't be discourage there's a superman out there waiting for you
God will give a man that will change the world from the earth to the moon

Superman

Water beneath bridges is always made to move
below the penumbra of our blessed moon.
She flows freely through the mouth of its enclave
taking with her every notion of solidity;
I stand here firm as a rock watching her pour herself out
she slows my senses as she extinguishes my
burning thoughts, and makes me think of

(I saw someone post a poem recently about Christopher
Reeves and it reminded me of this oldie of mine)

He didn’t come from Krypton. . . was not sent
to earth with any special kind of power.
He wasn’t a reporter named Clark Kent,
but like that role he played, he didn’t cower
when struck by his own brand of Kryptonite
named quadriplegia, which couldn’t stay
this fellow who inspired with his might,
enduring trials bravely day to day.
He did not have Lex Luther as a foe
but fought for what was right, so now we grieve
because this hero that we came to know
was taken from our world. Dear Mr. Reeves
gave a human face to a fictive name,
then went back to the place from whence he came.

My Superman

My Superman motivates me to do better,
He's the type to write love letters.
My Superman saved me from a life of misery,
All he wants is for me to be happy.
My Superman cares about how I feel,
His worry and concern is so real.
My Superman has my heart,
He trusts me even tho we are many miles apart.
My Superman is a hard working man,
He cares about others and helps them out the best he can.
My Superman is very strong,
He treats others the way they want to be treated by never doing them wrong.
My Superman has a lot of compassion,
That's why he's humble and you can tell by his actions.
My Superman hides no secrets from me,
He respects me enough to tell the truth no matter what it might be.
My Superman strives to give me everything l deserve,
Because he says I'm worth it .
My Superman touches my heart and makes me smile,
He makes everything worthwhile.
My Superman tries to conquer the world,
I'm so proud to be his girl.
My Superman has my back,
My compassion for him will never lack.
My Superman would give you his last dime,
With me by his side we'll always shine.
My Superman is very understanding,
My loyalty for him is everlasting.
My Superman opens up my mind,
He always gives me all of his
 time.
My Superman makes me feel so free,
That's why I'm lucky to have him and he has me.
My Superman is my superman only,
With him in my life I'm no longer lonely.
My Superman doesn't want anyone but me,
That's why what we have is meant to be.
My Superman gave the word love meaning,
He will always be the love of my life from now until the ending.

Batman Vs Superman With the Marvel Punch

A speeding star or spaceship, no it’s SUPERMAN
Only a bat can tell who knows and sees, but as a caped crusader, one can feel the breeze being BATMAN
The Legend Of Justice, but the dialog being doom
A fight to the finish
But who will be victorious and distinguished
Both knowing good from wrong
A part where Evil doesn’t belong
Saving lives and combating crime for as long
Yet a fight that will go on
Ethnics where credit is due
But what challenger will come through?
The sun has turned completely red
The moon has turned a shaded black
The moment being the attack
But the innocent need to just stand back
Blows into throws
Imaginations drawing conclusions
A fight that might be long
A thought, what Marvel Hero should belong?
A past being a comic book
It was a boy’s look
One Marvel Hero fell
But I won’t tell.

Premium Member Why Heroes Get Things Done

Wonder Woman, Wolverine,
fight the baddies, make a scene.

Superman can fly up high,
saves us from a falling sky.

Aquaman swims under water
where he rescued someone’s daughter.

Batman has the best high tech
and leaves the villains in a wreck.

The Hulk is all about the smash;
when he’s done they look like trash.

The web that Spiderman can sling,
catches thieves and helps him swing.

Fantastic Four can do a lot,
it makes for an exciting plot.

Catwoman has a vengeful side,
that causes prey to run and hide.

but all these heroes carry on,
even when their luck is gone,

not because they like the fun;
it is their passion to get things done.

Superman On the Airplane

By Elton Camp

Superman used to kick the ground
With the momentum, fly all around

From New York City to L.A.
It was his preferred travel way

To encircle the world in a flash
He would often wildly dash

Recently, he’s been seen on a plane
Partly to avoid the driving rain

He’s super, but his costume’s not
The fabric was beginning to rot

If he didn’t make a change soon
The world would see a full moon

So, to travel by plane he now tries
Also, to keep bugs out of his eyes
