Tiny White Pearls

Out in the freezing rain
Hesitates gray morning
Between winter's end and
Spring's early intentions.

Leafless barren trees
Lining up on my street
Glitter sluggishly
Tiny frozen droplets
Hanging from twigs and stems
Resembling white gems.

Until young golden rays
Reflect in puddles,
Exposing to my view
Growth of green buds
Emerging from nodes
Where moments before
I saw tiny white pearls.

Beautifully expressed my friend. Wonderful imagery/ I could see the leafless branches covered with ice crystals. That's the way they are in my yard right now. Great job. God Bless, JB

Love this poem Vijay - it is a breathtaking experience to watch winter dissolving from little white pearls or gems to tiny green buds and twigs which slowly transform from dry lonely souls to twigs with blossoms of hope. Congratulations on your win Vijay - you are a poet with a beautiful heart! Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

For me, rain conjures an entirely different world, a world with diamond dew drops and crystal prisms that become glorified by nature's pristine beauty. Your poem gave me that fresh feeling Vinay. This is so lovely! : ) xxoo
