Stretched Out
It's plain for the eyes to see
It's pain lingering from the lies to me
and the thoughts that end up with grief
how we fought and messed up our memories

Fragile we were, and heart-broken too
I clinged to her, and was born anew
Fiction lied, and I lied
For I...

Stretched Too Thin
It’s great to be busy,
The state I am in,
But sometimes I feel like
I’m stretched way too thin.

The newspaper pile’s
At the tottering stage;
My bookmark’s been stuck
For two weeks on one page.

The email’s unanswered;
The house needs a dusting.
Appointments are canceled
And need readjusting.

There’s shopping to do
And a dress...

Premium Member Time Stretched Stillness
Time stretched stillness, poised awareness
Agendaless vibrance
Imbibing bliss in playfulness
Pure, childlike innocence

Shaped upon the anvil
We are still, as voids fill
Soul’s easy ride uphill

Key to wellness
Time stretched stillness

Stretched Out In India
Stretched out in India, sifting through my thoughts,
Alone but not alone, floating on the inside,
Digesting not just the food, but working through
The scents of Istanbul, the sweat I left behind,
My karma was aroused, or was it just conjoined?
It’s nothing I can touch, but still...

Out Stretched Wings of Thought
I sought to take flight in my mind
One day so away from my perch
I did soar gliding on out stretched
Wings of thought over the landscape
Of my mind

I traveled to many fantastic places
That physically I will never see
kept loft by the winds of consciousness
Swirling...

Stretched
Sketched on a napkin
Frizzy hair and a stressed face
Her pencil is like her tongue
Rushing to keep pace
With an ever expanding mind
And waist
Ideas once lost are hard to find

She supposes she could stop
Though she's never tried
She thinks, and dreams, and sighs
All those tears she cried
Have...

Stretched Oven An Ocean.
The feeling of emptiness is all that is left with memories of I love yous and forget me
nots an ocean now resides between our touch but maybe that is just a little too much.

Building foundations that I know one day will fall but never...

Stretched upon the meadow of memories, under the sky that spreads like a blue velvet canvas,
I think of the men who buried their dreams under the damp and cold earth,
those who let their souls drift on rivers of despair,
seeking solace in the face of storms...

Stretched Time
Stretched Time

Twenty years! TWENT YEARS! I have lived in this tiny hamlet
a lifetime…for some. Maybe I have been here hundred years
and the time before I came is shrouded in a mythical dream.
Deep oceans of pasts that wash up on the strand of illusion
and...

Stretched
Personal and spiritual growth
is like a rubber band ...

Stretched beyond our limits,
or so we think .... we'll snap

We need only to remember ....
Who is doing the stretching

For He will not take us farther
beyond what we are able to endure

It hurts, its uncomfortable, we...

Premium Member In a long-forgotten time, when the sky stretched like an endless canvas of dreams
In a long-forgotten time, when the sky stretched like an endless canvas of dreams,
Poets were magicians, weaving incantations with words, more powerful than swords or crowns,
More eternal than the whispers of fallen gods, lost in the abyss of oblivion.
I remember, or perhaps it’s the memory...

A houndred hearts could not heal this broken heart that I think about
I was rushed to the emergency room the Doctor said "Its too late for you"
So I say soil is it a safe place to bury it
He said no because it may raise...
