Notes About The Poem

Stretched Out His Arms

Stretched Out His Arms

Eve grieved; she decided to take heed and believed
Adam and Eve expelled from paradise, stand on land to succumb the elements
To arrange life and gave us roots to change
Then Noah put his faith in Alpha and Omega
The God of the Israelites, his name being awed and revealed to Moses
Jesus amazing love for us on an image being a dove
He stretched out his arms and died, is etched forever in time on the cross
To bestow on us, his love and to follow his word
All Powerful wants his beloved children to be equal and in his Image

Life is real and pain is part of it but so is love so the balance is often tipped according to the way we perceive God's love for us all. Emile.
