“With sacred status as a forgiven sinner, saved by God with His love, I accept the sacred duty to live for Him.” by the Poet
Sacred indeed is my stewardship* task
Spiritually entrusted by the Lord
Settling me to use granted resources
Sincerely with my best along His grace.
Sacred truly is my servanthood role
Sublimely bestowed with God’s compassion
Strengthening me to reach-out, give and share
Serenely ministering for His sake.
Sacred, too, is my supplication deed
So divine around the Saviour’s friendship
Since communing with the great Almighty
Surely speaks of faith's sanctified status.
Sacred is Christ’s blessing He offers best
Soul of mine does thank and praise Him with zest.
Quatorzain with alliteration
*1Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

WHEN STATURE IS A FORM OF GRACE
Red hair,
skin sweet apple,
Her face like a geisha
quiet yet armed with falcon eyes
You'll see.
His nose:
sharp like a knife.
Alone, she has no friend,
was this the way she's meant to be
shadowed?
Lonely
with hurt anew
she sighs deep like furnace
with only a dolesome ballad
to sing.
For she
was different,
demure in every way,
stature becomes a form of grace
within.
She chafe
folks that bore her,
their slanderous tongues.
Have they no grace nor some respect
to care?
Actions
where life pulsates
demands each to play roles
yet still, when silence roars, hear
echoes.
Truth ~ lies
all mixed in one,
baffling the people,
leading the narrow minds astray,
wonky!

Scottie dog on his walk
parading onto sidewalks of quiet drama
his bristling, buoyant hop
on three legs
while an old man, cane in hand, grasps the dog's leash
a life line between them
glimpse of resistance
measured movements
occasional threads of panic
to claim their space, the edges of a frame,
the lilt of living
others step the circle around them
quick glances to thaw cellphone attention
permitted entry into a private moment
that graces the pair
like stained glass light
strength can be a force greater than fear
that shapes the land they tread on
for an old man, cane weary, and his three legged dog
their return walk
mounted together
a noble bearing
through May's green door
that summons them forward
that marks time pressing,
to hold their footing

The irony of mother nature
Posed with forefathers of Africa
Is the stature of comic posture
When proud butterfly in beauty
Dances on defecation of ugly donkey
Seeking the normalcy of natural reality
From obnoxious comedy of derogatory ignominy...

Biblical animal of excellence
Exemplifying meekness’ verity
The sheep champions benevolence-sweetness
Epitomized by Christ, “the Lamb of God*.”
Testifying about the good Shepherd**
Who leads toward abundant green pastures
Ushering near refreshing clear waters
The sheep*** is kept in His compassion’s care.
Midst confusion and distraction distress
The sheep, discerning well the Shepherd’s voice
Indeed follows, takes heed obediently
Safeguarded inside sheepfold’s warm haven.
Contributing much to the society
Sheep provides products like meat, dairy, wool
Granting great economic benefits
Along science and medicine support.
The sheep is wondrous creature, a precious gift
Functional; though once was sacrificial
My fave animal: to others, blessing
staying close to the Shepherd; such I yearn.
*John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
**Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
***John10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Find my glutton for this rap button to come sneaking up on em/
I’m pretty good at running so let me run it up on em/
Time for me to gain traction with these tracks slung/
Alive more than I ever been in action go figure/
Never still with my stature my line’s never flat sir/
Hearts even more on beat than I need give it to her/
A crib for the burr or heat to surge the birds on my wire
I ribbed the instrument or sound heard words on fire

Reservoir
Filled with quiet secrets
Often hidden from our sight
There's stillness to the surface
In depth, there's strength and might.
People gather and are drawn to
The impressive stature, surely
There is peace around this entity
In spite of walls, so burly
Made by man it may be
But a lesson lies within..
There's a sense of holy presence
Past the water's surface, thin.
With it's patience comes the wisdom
To relieve our hearts, so dry
And the fresh taste of the truth is
Of a purpose from on high
In the dryness of this season;
Parched air cracking at our throats
We hear hope of restoration
As we huddle in our boats
A reservoir we can all be..
Attractive bright and pure.
From stillness starts a journey
To the driest captive's door
Let's aspire to be filled up
With that clear pure water, bright.
May the tired, the lost, the thirsty
Be the ones to know respite
And as rain descends from heaven
Filling hearts up to the brim
What we capture will define us;
How we fall and how we win.
So avoid the murky waters
As you travel round this land
Be the bringer of refreshment
In your words and in your hand
Let the purest water top up
Every deep part of your soul
May the parts of you together
Make you more than just the whole.

Oh mighty friend
Tall and strong
I listen to your silent song
And wonder how
Such truth can be
Embodied here
So gently.
And as we stand and share this ground,
The wonder of you all around,
A prayer within me starts to rise.
A sapling reaching for the skies.
Deep within I know it's true
To strive and grow;
Be more like you.
My heart cries out, I need to spend
More time beside you,
Patient friend.
I meditate on Holy wood;
On strength and purpose,
On soil that's good.
And how the earth unfolds your truth.
Your roots so deep, oh leafy roof.
I'd stay but time alas is pressing
So much to learn
Of peace and hope..
Of soul de-stressing.
Shall we meet again?
Same time, same place?
I want to see your gnarly face..
And let you teach me how to be
As strong and silent as a tree.

My child…
My child newborn
Feels earthly warmth
My joy abounds.
My child now young
Hears yes, no, maybe
My sky’s the limit.
My child gains stature
Sees viewpoints, images, illusions
My world surrounds.
My child still cautious
Speaks mirrored words
My heart swoons.
My child reaches wider
Investigates with why
My brain electrifies.
My child examines afar
Investigates with why
My being sparkles.
My child now wiser
Thinks balanced wants more
My presence explores.
My child grows adult
Remembers related times
My love abounds.

In a nostalgic scene of my childhood* dramatic moment…
…. there was I …
The only girl among three siblings
most beloved by my dear family
as the darling princess
oh, pampered stature I held
for almost five years…
then… I felt dethroned….
by a brand new baby
“ so prettily cute…”
~~~~~~~
Pain gripped me then
as one helplessly robbed
of a precious possession…
yes, I grieved to lose
wondrous apple-of-the-eye-attention
lavishly bestowed to me
as the only girl.
… that was me … sulking…
Oh, I admit having been spotlighted
in my pity-party nook
nonetheless, my dear parents
with their unchanging love and care
constantly affirmed my princess’ status
thereby announcing:
“you two are our beautiful
princesses from the Lord.”
Thus, my sister and I are still and forever in our family!
*1Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Some people – unpopular in stature –
Slip away into death unnoticed
Softer than a falling feather
That little earns a second glance
But the good deeds of their lives
Grow – recount a love that’s long
And with increasing strength – strive
To tell of hope that spans a marathon.
Others are taken with a shout
Heard far across the air waves –
Ushered by those in the crowd
To a biography and grand raves
And some die amid great efforts –
Succumbing to an evil deed –
And leave a hole as big as their hearts –
Hindsight is the mystery.
Still others leave unknown;
Their time becomes a strange gap
That hides behind a name
Clinging to a simple lithograph.
My old guitar
is outta tune
But thats not far
from where I loom.
The brittle strings
once strong and proud
Still try to ring
just not as loud.
My crackling voice
a message blurred
I have no choice
by age obscured.
This scratched up frame
my loss of drive
Should hope refrain
from which i strive?
