Another Crossroad
Another crossroad.
Invalids weep when
wearing another's
soiled diapers suddenly
disappear.
In spite of the battered off-chance -
from a despondent interruption;
I'm the exposed exception.

Coarse fingers bleed.
My wheelchair spokes
are hardly friendly.
I proudly bawl when no one
can see me bow my head
amongst the company of
irreverent observers.

At rest
with this...

A Surviv---or

I know how it feels to be unwanted
ignored, made fun of and at times taunted
beat up, spit on, embarrassed and disgraced
abandoned betrayed and things thrown in my face
denied, discouraged, used, then abused
So before you say a word, think twice
'Cause I have nothing left...

Shady Sadie
Just a saggy-sad dumbfounded Basset Hound
Got claimed at the doggone-it lost puppy pound
Just hangin' out now and nosing around
Waiting for my supper to get back from town
Hooray! A dog's life for an ole' English lass

Can't hear very good, my rep's rather jaded
Sprawl out by a...

Premium Member Queen of Hearts
Conceived in manic sorrow,
proclaiming herself left
with self-righteous Hollowness,
the less assertive Queen of Hearts:

I'm good between either of these two black kings
and those two black jacks behind,
either one,
no matter to me

Between a spade for digging soul enrichment
or a clubbing tool to force what's mine
or should...

A Tree With No Border
A tree; it's branches angled and bent
wicked and stained and breathing.
A bark gone gothic in paper slips.
It's holes lament through teething.

With knots swelled out and black as earth.
A crevice on center with cracks.
A hole been lined with a wet tree sap
and the woodpeckers entrance to...

Sandcastle Heart
Sandcastles by the seashore I build them
No more. Dreams are too frail to stop the sea
Of brokenhearts and misery; the gem
Of faith is love, but man is vanity.
We had no shelter from the brimming sun
No custardapple leaf to shade or stun
The blueprint of our lives...

But Truth Is Life And Love Is So Very Much More

Yes, these words do fly away from a poet's heart
As I give mind, soul and my all, so let us start
First comes is, world is evil and the earth is round
Lightning strikes well before you...

Miss Peggy's House
well, my mother loved to visit miss Peggy's place
yes, they talk about this and that but
still, Miss Peggy had several
spaded black cats in her place and
mother would ask her three young boys
to come out and visit Miss Peggy's house
unfortunately,
i
was the only one
brave enough...

Street Cursed
Your stillness captures
the silence of raptures,
their code of ethics
a bond unbroken.
Left standing alone
still and unchangeable,
unwanted, spaded,
shamed and masqueraded.
Desperate for peace,
tearing up the old lease,
dealt so long ago.
Fueled new thoughts of madness
never ending dought,
death, love, and sadness.
Old friends not wanting amends
holding old pains like newborns.
Male and...

My Suede Side
Love sounds the beat to my broken heart, filled by the hate to relieve my fate. The clouds darken, the thunder strikes the membrane surrounding my mind, ear piercing aches cause tears to fake, eyes bleeding by visions, the ace will be spaded by the...

Miss Peggy's House
Mama loved visiting Miss Peggy’s house.

Mama talked to Miss Peggy about this and that

When mama got that happy feeling, she says,

Boy lets go visit Miss Peggy, and
my body started to quiver.

Then, I would break out into a cold James Brown sweat.

My mind drifted into...

My older bro watered half of the garden, in the back and front,
cause the weatherman said there'll be 50% chance of rain today.

Our Monopoly gameboard doesn't have pass go and collect $200,
--well it does,
but ours came with a knuckle-fisted older bro with 5-digits on...

Trefoil
In the quiet hush of dawn’s first light, hussily strewn,
as oil painting life,
exactly whispers secrets of easy night,
spreading open dews, slappy cold earthy maw,
bubbling crude, trefoil in the raw.

Clovers of hope in emer_hold,
holding dreams in a tender fold, unspoiled cocoon.
Starlust, fermented, hits...
