Best Soothes Poems
Incriminations bolster theories
pestered by daily
salutations, delusions
sanctimoniously intensified
by the written word
Your philosophy exculpates
delirium while triumphs
wisk away irremediable
suppositions that defy logic.
Hypocrisy appears delineated
with confused ramifications.
Cerebrum and Cerebellum
transpose inaccuracies into
soft, sweet music to the soul.
Artistic creation utilized
to succumb basic instincts
with craft: skills of
evasion and deception
manifest themselves in
your daily realm as you
deliver time's desires.

full moon basks in light
reflecting the sun’s bright rays…
illumination
void of emotion
the cratered face seems to stir…
light lost as sun moves
amber crescent hangs
tip it an sip its Chablis…
warm gold nectar soothes

From weariness of toil, what a joy I feel
Having heard of a voice with such a magical spell
So melodious and dulcet like a tinkling bell
Surely it does not sound an ominous knell.
To me her voice is pristine and pure
Every word I wait, for it means so sure
Bereft not nor devoid of beauty, it lures
Transcending my soul to a misty lair of grandeur.
How I wish to be bound in your warm embrace
All my woes and worries vanish without a trace
Your voice can make me come or tarry as I choose
Just tell me the words your heart lets loose
Nothing will I ask for but an ineffable joy
With you my soul entangles even the most wicked ploy.

Sitting on the porch, a chill breeze caresses my face
as storm birds fly, seeking the shelter of a dry place.
Along the lake shore, trees sway to Nature's tune
the music she arranged for Ra, the sun and Luna Moon.
Threatening clouds grow weary of hovering in the sky.
Needing to spill their rain, they start racing swiftly by.
Now, the day is dreary and nearly as dark as night,
but gloomy weather repletes my heart with delight.
Autumn's rain soothes my soul with gentle showers.
Silver pearls fall to quench the thirst of petaled flowers.
It's the nurturing they need to bloom and survive.
Rainy days energize my spirit and make me feel alive.
I hear a symphony playing, dueling against the wind.
Loud percussion instruments but I'm not chagrined.
Lightning bolts are batons, waved in rhythmic time.
Thunder plays a snare drum, and the impact is sublime.
A chorus of crickets chirp and ribbits bellow from a frog.
In baritone voice he croaks while sitting perched on a log.
In the drizzle there's a melodic concert, and I sing along
to rain pattering on the roof in a perfect rainy-day song.

Remember when "Suzie" wore her dresses tight
When Elton John was Singin' 'bout "Saturday night"
Singin' bout the rocket man and his old blue jeans
While Arlo Guthrie sung a song 'bout a train down in New Orleans
Remember Led Zeppelin when they first came out
The Beatles were Singin' songs that would make you "Twist-N-Shout"
Pink Floyd was Singin' "Money"- wasn't off the "Wall"
But "Mandy" hit the top charts...if I do recall
Talkin' 'bout the era 'round nineteen seventy-five
Right before the disco music came alive
I don't know 'bout you, but I still like my Rock-N-Roll
Jerry G. and Johnny Cash and Billy Joel
Bruce Springsteen's got my number when I'm "Out On The Streets"
Rolling Stones- "Painted Black"...has some really cool beats
Elvis Presley was an influence ...he is said to be the "King"
But Charlie Daniel's "That Devil" Well, he sure could sing
Meatloaf came about like a "Bat Out Of Hell"
Neil Diamond sung "Sweet Caroline" and he sang it well
The Doors sung a song 'bout "The Soft Parade"
David Bowie's "Space Oddity" really made the grade
Eric Clapton picking on his lead guitar
People say Jeff Beck was the best guitarist...by far
So many great guitarist's it's so hard for me to to choose
Johnny Winter and Muddy Waters sure can play those blues
Remembering all the music from the good old days
Jimi Hendricks Sang a song 'bout some kind of "Purple Haze"
Jethro Tull was Singin' songs 'bout a "Locomotive Breathe"
And Elton sung a song about "Diana's" death
Bob Seger sang a song..."That good ole...Rock-N-Roll"
Gotta love that music, that just soothes my soul
Remembering all the music from my younger years
So many great musicians- brings my soul to tears

Lyric
As my temper rises
And I become angry
I turn to the sound of music
As I become stressed
And my heart begins to race
I turn to the sound of Music
As the Moon comes out
And my soul fills with doubt
I turn to the sound of music
The beast within me
Will never be put to rest
But it can be appeased
Cause music soothes the savage beast

What Music Is That Which Soothes Eager Soul
What music is that cheers the eager heart
Whereas I can find none on any star chart
Nor shadow of which behind resting sun
Waits night and its roaring of battle guns
And prayers uttered by dying men
Pales chasm between sainthood and ones sin
Hold the thought, that human life is much more
Than wasting years and a beggar's last score.
What music is that which soothes eager soul
Where sinners in hellish fires must pay toll
Whilst in anguish they beg for treasures lost
Thereby forgetting sinners greatest costs.
What music can a sainthood ever bring.
Or wife be without lover's wedding ring.

A Breeze That Soothes
Have you ever sat in shade of tree on hot, hot day?
thinking only of easy street and islands far away
Suddenly in midst of this pleasure Nature sends a treasure
a breeze so cool that it sets your soul to measure
Then several nice soft clouds floated right into view
giving the breeze a lift with even more shade to you
Such moments are so special and often so very rare
like a journey with a jackpot just waiting there!
One I remember that lazy day I found her looking for me
dancing my way with eager eyes that promised to please
O' that sexy body and those sweet, sweet sexy moves
"Her", a breeze that gives such love, love that so soothes!
Gifting of a gentle , sweet and newborn spiritual soul
rescuing me , angel melting our hearts into a loving whole!

God's Poetry Soothes Best
God this universe He did weave,
long before ever an Adam and Eve.
Words he spoke created the all,
so long before man's great fall.
Those words hidden from our view
yet our poetry gifts a great clue.
In poetry's heart our souls rest,
we gift in it our love the best.
Our words strive to match God
seeking such a wonderful nod.
Spiritual bliss to one and all,
serenity if man will only call.
Who can resist words of love,
prayer and pleas to God above.
Thought that he spoke same,
honored man with love and name.
Universe we have to explore,
we poets must seek that door.
The one that sings poetic praise
heart contented , soul to raise.
Never can we forget our place,
poets lead into this epic race.
Words sent to reach out to him,
lights so bright and never dim.
Poetry that way trying to reach,
giving love as we seek to teach.
Man seeks to give God a reply,
God loves all , we wonder why?

A voice that soothes
With sympathy and compassion
Words that encourage
To guide the youth in the right direction
She is always there
A heart that is filled with gratitude
Never letting her kids fall off track
Always showing them the winning attitude

Music soothes the savage poet in me; it naturally inspires.
It soothes my rogue artist, so truths I can impart.
Every day my musical journey, tours corridors of mind.

R-ight after the dark night
O-n the last day of January;
D-awn breaks on earth,
R-eleasing the light so shiny.
I-n spite of the rain yesterday
G-ood morning sun rises;
O-ver the mountain high, the sky is clear in brightness.
A-ll of the sudden
B-oth my pen and pad conspire;
R-ecords of timely thoughts turn
I-nto some lines that inspire.
G-reetings of my simple poem may make you truly joyful;
O-rdinary ode of mine may soothe your mind, heart, and soul.

Love of nature give me daily grace to face
What’s happening during pandemic disgrace.
I sit in the sun which is worlds of fun
The cardinals in the oaks clearly on the run
Not afraid of bugs I give my trees some hugs
Sunshine keeps me happier than any drugs
Cardinals chase each other giving me delight
I watch soaring eagle until he’s out of sight
Can hear chatty rooster over the back hill
Cannot ruffle solitude or robin’s trill.
At bare edge of other’s most terrible loss
Spirit of nature keeps me out of chaos.
