Premium Member A Man I'Ll Never Be

Growing up
My father and me
He did the best he could
Because once we were three

Events happened
And then we were two
His rise and demise
As his life withdrew

Looking back, to the memories we had
They never lasted for years
Some great, some sad
For an ill man he did his best
And in me, I have his zest

He never recovered from the loss of his son
To say goodbye to the elder one
He was hospitalised for months and years
On the day he was taken, uncontrollable tears

The years we shared
Fifteen in all
In every one
He helped me grow tall
To appreciate, what life will give
Remember your past, let your future live

He's all around me every day
For on the wind I hear him say
Enjoy your life, live happily
I hope you get to the land of the free

My reply to you Dad
As you look down on me
The Aura around you
The man I hope to be

" Happy Fathers Day to you Dad, I still miss you, your loving son James "

Staring Into My Own Reflection(Inspired By Rain Cerdiwin Keetly)

if you can see into the depths of my heart
you would hear it sing the saddest song
for those who have looked for meaning in tragedy
for those have suffered terminally
for i have fallen just like them
i have been forsaken
i've looked into your eyes and i see my own reflection
i see the tears you have cried
i know you are alone and afraid
your innocence betrayed
but look into these eyes
i have struggled and suffered just like you
grab my hand you'll no longer be alone
just think this through
for i have fallen just like you
let's stop this trend of sinking
for we are not alone
together we can break this threshold
locked in this embrace
together we will not break
bound together by something stronger than super glue
will you think this through?
will you realize that i'm just like you?
just look into this heart
don't let this world tear us apart
for i have suffered just like you
together we shall never fall
nothing can push our backs up against a wall
we will break through!
believe in me! i believe in you!

Thank You for the Music

Companions on my journey
Surround me in anthems -
When the dawn rises up,
In afternoons of reflection,
In slumber’s reveries -
Melodies
Always embracing me
Asking only breath
In canticles and choruses –
 Paeans and in psalms –
  Rhythms and in rhymes -
Written on the staff of life
Remembering remorse
 In slowly marching meter
Uplifting shame
In the verses of vocal symphonies
Healing regret
 In ballads of blues
Shouting celebration
In cadence of joyful jubilees;
A wondrous gift – a blessing evolving -
A marvelous thing –no toy -
That gathers together
 Wandering questions
Shouted into Heaven’s ears
When the spinning world would
 Crawl all over itself
  Losing its pitch
Or bounce off walls
  In atonal discord;
Welcoming back hearts
To beat as one in time;
My theme song never stilled
When vocal nodes
Stilled my song to a whisper;
Gratitude, my refrain,
For music,
Life giving as caressing rains,
To chant, once more, in harmony
With the vital flame of melody again.

In gratitude to Abba for their song - Thank You for the Music – My theme song that carried me through two vocal node surgeries when I thought I might never sing again.

Thank you Lord new song version

Thank you Lord

Thinking back upon my life
When days were ever so bleak
When nothing seemed to turn out right
I was desperate and so weak

Then you came along and helped me out
You pulled me out of the fire
And I thank you…Oh Lord
For saving my life

Chorus
I want to thank you Lord,
For always being there
Through the bad times and the good
I want to thank you Lord,
For all you’ve given me
It’s undeserved… it’s understood

There were times in my life
The world had beaten me down
I never seemed to catch a break
But, you’d always come around

You’d always be there to lend a hand
You pulled me out of the mire
And I thank you…Oh Lord
I’ll give you my life

Chorus
I want to thank you Lord,
For always being there
Through the bad times and the good
I want to thank you Lord,
For all you’ve given me
It’s undeserved… it’s understood

Through all my tragedies
You showed you cared for me
Through my mistakes and maladies
You saw the good in me

You’ve been with me through all my trials
In my time of need
You carried me the final mile
You are a friend in deed

Chorus
I want to thank you Lord,
For always being there
Through the bad times and the good
I want to thank you Lord,
For all you’ve given me
It’s undeserved… it’s understood

And I’ll thank you…Oh Lord
All through my life
And I’ll thank you…Oh Lord
All through my life

Golden Girls Tribute

"Thank you for being a friend", that's how it goes.
Blanche will fly whichever way the wind blows.
"Traveled down the road and back again", is what they sing.
Rose waits for a light bulb, clueless to everything.
"Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidante", goes the next line.
Sophia shares her sarcastic wisdom, making rose trick a mime.
"And if you threw a party, invited everyone you knew", as the song plays.
Here comes Dorothy, intelligent and bossy, so set in her ways.
"you would see, the biggest gift would be from me" It's almost done.
The Golden girls bring so much fun.
"And the card attached would say" as the show portrays,
"Thank you for being a friend".
Sophia, Dorothy, Blanche and Rose,
for eachother, a helping hand to lend.
The show possesses what the song does imply.
The women"s friendship a binding tie.
A tribute to them as the legend lives,
Their warmth and caring continues to give.

True Warrior

The presence of a giant in a frame so small
Heart of a warrior standing tall
The soul of an angel with the touch of a child
She walks so proud on the longest mile

She won’t give up, it’s a fight to the end
May have lost the battle, but won the right to ascend
And after she’s gone when there’s no more pain
The memory of her touch will remain

A True Warrior with unshakeable faith
The battle that she fought would make most runaway
A True Warrior, A Gentle giant inside
Dealing with a monster, she kept her dignity and pride

The hour draws close, her time is at hand
As she prepares her journey to a promised land
The peace that awaits and calls to her soul
Has her name etched in light on a heavenly scroll

Her battle’s nearly done and her war draws to a close
To face this monster is a path she freely chose
But look up in the sky pretty soon you’ll see a light
As she’s held in the arms of an angel tonight

God

GOD

Your power lives inside of me
Because the love you give I see
It is the motion in your ocean
It is the quenching of your potion

Only you could set me free
Mojo, Dojo, Buddha, Ra
Shiva, Osiris, Mohammed, God
Only you could set me free

You are the reason for my living
Everyday thank you for giving
You cried for me, you died for me
You saved my soul, thank you oh Holy One……………………………………….

Your power lives inside of me
Because the love you give I see
It is the motion in your ocean
It is the quenching of your potion

Only you could set me free
Mojo, Dojo, Buddha, Ra
Shiva, Osiris, Mohammed, God
Only you could set me free

Sometimes I lose my way
And take the road astray
I’m just a human and a sinner
Nothing perfect, not a winner

But I’m working to get better
I sing praise to you in this letter
You gave me life, you saved my soul
You gave me strength to make it thru this all

Your power lives inside of me
Because the love you give I see
It is the motion in your ocean
It is the quenching of your potion

Only you could set me free
Mojo, Dojo, Buddha, Ra
Shiva, Osiris, Mohammed, God
Only you could set me free

You are the reason for my living
Everyday thank you for giving
You cried for me, you died for me
You saved my soul, thank you oh Holy One……………………………………….

Ring Around the Pumpkin

For the bounty of the earth
Come Ye thankful people come
For it is Autumn
And the leaves are coming down
Run run sweet John Barley Corn
Let's play ring around the pumpkin
As the harvest moon shines
On the jingle jangle scarecrow
For I'am just a little acorn
Bounded for another harvest home
As the wind shakes the barley
Like a slow Thanksgiving waltz
For our farmers sets the table
To a wondrous haymakers hoedown
For we bid ado to a Shokan's fairwell
And now thank we to all our God

Happy Harvest Time To All

Just Another Song Working On LOL
Let Me Know What Ya Think Please

A Simple Thank You

You,

Have shown me how to live again.

Make all the sadness disappear.

You opened my heart to love,

Opened my mind to see.

Giving me a piece of yourself first.

Teaching me to believe, teaching me to believe. And I want to say thank you
for being the way you are.

I wish I could write a million songs.

For the music you've made me see...

I want to say thank you for being my friend,

You are beautiful to me.

.

Over You...

we use to have love
we were like a glove
perfectly happy
now its snappy
screams
teams
we arent us
whats the fuss?
isnt this what you wanted?
for my hearts growth to be stunted?
for me to weep
everytime i try to sleep?
for me not to be able to read
because of what you did to me?
and me to not even watch a movie or video
with out thinking of you-oh
i thought we would get close again
that it could be better than
what it already was
but it all ended cause
you had to reevaluate
no longer appreciate
what i was to you
that i loved you
we use to get those chills, the butterflies
when i saw you, it killed my fathers lies
life is no nintendo game
yea, thats what Slim Shady sang
you cant undo what you just did
 to me
man, you've gotta be kidding me
and i apologized to you
thats what i wanted to do
but now i want you to say yoru apologies
my heart is drowning in deep seas
of pain and hate
but then again, fate (is mean)
fate is mean and spiteful
the things you said was frightful
i cant believe i feel for the love song
your love is what i use to long (for)
now i could care less about you
ooooh whoa yeah
i could care less
then when i wore that dress
the look on your face
damn that was priceless
i flaunted what you never had
so now im glad
that it ended
my wish is granted
to be happy and pleased
my soul has been released
so go to your new hoe
i just want to let you know ohhh whooaaa yeah
just let you know
(pause for instraments)
im so totally over you.

Salaam ! / Kudos ! (Ode To the Handicapped)

!

Cruel God’s crooked clasp,
Is worse than the sting of a wasp,
Genius, healthy, wealthy man,
Becomes an orphan and forlorn!

Childhood innocent,
Youth fragrant,
Tranquil prime,
Become a weird dream!

Defies God’s clout,
Becomes fear-less ‘n’ stout,
Undertakes an uphill task,
And reaches the mountaintop!

Handicapped albeit,
Dares God’s verdict,
Proves the worth by his action,
He is worthy of admiration!!

How Fortunate We Are

Its easy to forget, amidst the frenzy of the season,
That all this “sound and fury,” it happens for a reason:
That words, we fear, fall short somehow expressing what we’re feeling
And gifts will say, another way, how fortunate we are.

I know that I forget, sometimes, to thank you for your kindness
But knowing you, as I do, broadens my horizons.
I’ve become a better man, a better human being.
I won’t forget to show or say how fortunate we are.

Thank you for your friendship, thank you for your time.
Thank you for accepting me with all these quirks of mine,
But don’t forget that I am here when life, it sends you reeling.
I’ll find a way to help you see how fortunate we are,
