Premium Member If I Were Your Smartphone

If I was your smartphone
You would talk to me for hours
If I was your smartphone
You would hold me and make sure I was safe
If I was your smartphone
You would keep me close and check on me often
If I was your smartphone
You would trust me and ask me for help
If I was your smartphone
You would rely on and be grateful for me
If I was your smartphone
You would be excited when I sought your attention
If I was your smartphone
You would make sure my battery was charged
If I was your smartphone
You would play games with me and think I was fun
If I was your smartphone
You would whisper into my ear and share your secrets
If I was your smartphone
Imagine all the wonderful times we would share
If only
I was your smartphone

Smartphone

My husband has a smartphone,
As do many of my friends.
They fiddle with their apps;
What they can learn just never ends.

A subway stop? The weather?
The location of a store?
The range of possibilities
Just leaves you wanting more.

Pictures of the grandkids?
Here’s a gallery to view.
Ding! There’s a reminder
That your dental visit’s due.

Check your e-mail, send a text,
Thumb a Twitter tweet.
Use your smartphone all the time
To make your day complete.

We’ll all have smartphones someday
But until that day has come,
I’ll be left out in the cold because
The phone I have is dumb!

Age of Consent

The Age of Consent was once ten
To ensure there were virgins for men
But young girls love candy
Which cads have kept handy
Since Mary of Magdalene

Now the Age of Consent is 16
With virgins nowhere to be seen
On an iPhone screen
Obscene is routine
As girls document coming clean

With no age tattoo to impress
Her age is anyone's guess
Though less than oblesse
To avoid redress
Just film her head nodding, "Yes"!

INVENTIONS
ARE THE MATERIALIZATION
OF THE IMAGINATION.

IMAGINE...
IF YOU WILL...
A SMARTPHONE
THE SIZE
OF A GRAIN OF RICE.
IMPLANTED
IN YOUR HEAD.

WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
AND CONNECTIONS
TO SUPER COMPUTER
SATELLITES
ORBITING THE EARTH.
ANSWERING QUESTIONS
FASTER
THAN THE SPEED OF LIGHT.

GRAPHENE LENSES
COVERING YOUR EYEBALLS
PROJECTING IMAGES
FOR VISUAL ASSISTANCE
AND FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED.

IMAGINE FREQUENCIES
REVERBERATING
BACK AND FORTH
BETWEEN YOU
AND THE UNIVERSE.
CREATING VISUALS
OF GALAXIES
2.5 MILLION
LIGHT YEARS REMOVED.

IMAGINE...
TRAVELING
TO THE EDGE OF QUASARS.
ADVENTURING
INTO AND THROUGH
BLACK AND WHITE HOLES
WITH OUT FEAR.

EXPLORE DARK MATTER.
EXPERIENCE
THE FRAGRANCE AND TASTE
OF COSMIC DUST.

COMMUNICATE
WITH A DEGENERATE DWARF.
VISIT AND MINGLE
WITH A BROWN DWARF.
UNDERSTAND
HOW AND WHY
THEY ARE CONSIDERED
THE UNDERACHIEVERS
OF THE UNIVERSE.

FEEL THE ENERGY OF
THE UNIVERSE.
EXPLORE THE THEORY
OF MAGNETIC STRUCTURE
OF MATTER.
COMPREHEND AND UNDERSTAND
THE HELICAL SOLAR SYSTEM.
COMPLEMENTS OF YOUR
FUTURE SMARTPHONE.

There was a witch named Mary Fitch
that had an awful itch
to ditch her old phone
for the latest smartphone.
The sales person had given her a pitch
to switch
it did not matter which.
She had twitched
flinched
at getting a loan,
but she wanted to make the phone her own.
She was not rich,
hated to spend a lot of money;
it had not been funny
if there had been a glitch
in the phone which
would not have been,
yet she understood.
She had been bewitched,
broke the itch, ditched
switched.
She wasn't rich,
but she felt rich
with her new smartphone
that was her very own.

Nomophobia Breakdown

Dopamine release lingers
with continuous touch of her fingers
caressing through its brightened face
so it opens up to her, in real time and space
in text, audio and video,
 in such a romantic tango

She loves to live in the screen world
lying there on the bed, body curled
deeply engrossed as she gaze
 through these ever glowing blaze
her eyes tearing in joy, elated in laughter
unfazed even by the whining of her little daughter

And right there in the limbo
he lay beside her pillow
whispering to her, speaking love
making his move thereof
all the time seeking for her attention
but she could barely notice his intention
the craving to fulfill their nuptial vows
cos' her head is in the clouds
entrapped in virtual ecstasy
in a world of visual fantasy
her eyes tearing in joy, crowing in the course
of this intimate intercourse

For hours, going to a day
she has been this way
wanting to be left on her own
fooling with her Android Phone
browsing unlimited broadband
and neglecting her own husband

Smartphone

I wish we could be intimate
Like how you be with your smartphone
Be the first thing you check when you wake
Be the urge that makes you check on me every moment
Be that first expected morning text
Be firm at your grasp and teased by your fingers
And respond to your thumbing
The feeling that shakes, vibrates and turns me on
I wish we could be intimate like how you be with your smartphone

They met,
via
the net;
now she
wants to
know him
some more

A click
a meme
a dance
she’s in;
baited
he asks;
you sure?

Send an
image
to me
no-one
will see
secrets
are true.

She did,
and the
parents
below
never
asked if
they knew.
