Crossing That Siberian Desert Of Lost Souls
No joy, no peace, on that darken horrendous stroll
crossing that Siberian desert of lost souls
blazing sun hit by invisible arrows shot
wherein the weak die, left as carrion to rot
so many blinded by illusions that world sends
eyes shut, never seeing what world's ill wind portends!
Mankind swims in a world that its hopes slowly burns.
Rolling the dice as Fate and Death take wicked turns.
Once as a youth such an innocent soul was I
racing forward deluded thinking I could fly
until in too deep, heart cried out from burning heat
and the ill wind's angry flames licking my bare feet
Please a refuge, I pray Lord a refuge please send
Oasis, that this wilting body I may mend!
Mankind swims in a world that its hopes slowly burns.
Rolling the dice as Fate and Death take wicked turns.
As sky then chased away that fiery red-hot sun
ahead an oasis, quickly onward I run
away from lost and blinded journey through this hell
away from lingering doubts I could never quell
away from this world and its insidious pains
away from deep darkness and its decaying stains!
This soul left that black-world wherein hope slowly burns.
No dice, Fate and Death taking no more wicked turns.

I am listening to some wonderful music this season.
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the reason.
The sounds they produce are a sensation.
Combining modern sounds with classic is a fascination.
Such glorious Christmas music is what they play.
They have me in the spirit for the holiday.

One of the beautiful things about Siberia it is a sea of grass
Like purple color of the soul Roth grass
And flowers like Siberian corydalis hides in the grass
The surreal beauty of flowers sends its divine fragrance through the ocean of grass
The grass covers the endless expanse
This is what inspires poetic romance
The sea of grass in which wind whispers soul will in trance
Among the grass the bears and tigers hunt and antelope will dance
The smell of freedom is mesmerizing
As the father time and mother Earth give birth to daughter spring
Of destiny connected to very abyss the nightingale will sing
The echoes of his voice lift the soul to place fit for a king
The grass is not it but it reflects the visage of genetic zero point
And if one looks for nirvana the fields of Siberia will not disappoint
As with sublime universal energy the spring is conjoint
And can completely lift one to divine viewpoint

Icy rains pelt angrily the ground,
Shacks and huts though unstable, sound.
The king that reigns is keeper of pride.
His flaws, outside seem most profound.
His butler doth usher him inside.
But this rainy country's summer's akin, "Bide
Thy time, fore the Winter's forlorned grasp
Is brought on by the tide." she sighed.
She awoke that night by the window's rasp.
Cracked slightly, snow filtering, copper handle grasped;
The curtains they writhed and came unwound.
Frozen with shock she stay as the Wind unclasped...
Winter winds had come, blew away his love, unfound
Love is war as his heavy ring is round
Himself was he lost in all the while
As he was the Wind, his words Winter sound...

He closed his eyes
On the left stood black knight
His visage powerful awesome
He had a sword and a huge axe
On the right a girl
As beautiful as a raindrop
And equally pure
Aura of light and bizarre writing covered her body
Further to the left a satyr devil with axe drenched in blood
He was once beautiful but darkness of his soul changed his façade
Illuminating the sky Great Eye God
And girl praying to the God
The power of devil was great
But the black knight had to face satyr by himself
God loved him but could not interfere
Because of free will
Black knight had eyes red like the harvest moon
In his soul fury of a typhoon
He buried the axe in devils head
And just like that satyr fell dead
The knight and the girl held hands bellow the sky
Looking down upon them was Great Eye
Then he opened his eyes not knowing if he will die
For he was still in concentration camp not knowing if he will survive

SIBERIAN GIFTS
Chimney smoke west-trailing far
Over the murky city, announcing
The cold Siberian air pushing in. Listening,
People looked up to see on high -
Bestudded coruscations of stars
Where none was ever seen:
Gifts from an ethereal hand, glistening,
And dropped into the fresh black sky.
............................................
NOTE
The recent extremely cold weather all over Europe is blamed on the "Siberian High" which is a cold air-mass affecting much of the world. We suffered too in St Petersburg (Russia) but the starry skies were a bonus gift in this smoky city.

Have you seen any suspicious Russians
roving around the Capitol grounds lately, sir?
Why, no I haven’t
By the way,
what does a Russian look like,
I dare ask with curious dismay
That black fella over there
might be a Soviet spy, eh!
No, I’m afraid not
Blacks are not indigenous to
the Siberian clime
Well, I believe you to be wrong,
my ill-informed friend
I hashtagged the Gulag,
and saw plenty of dark-skinned souls
chumming it up with the guarding variety type
government issued clothes
Those were merely some displaced dissidents
caught in a crackdown, anti-terrorism net,
for protesting actions of the American government
Mister, don’t try to intelligence insult me
I can see just as good as you,
I’m no Siberian blind snowbird —
I record every shakedown,
and any secret deal whispered
I can oath testify to this,
as long as you ask me nothing
incriminating
Do you catch my perjury snow drift?
Yes, sir ... there’s no need
for any further questions asked
As for those unseen Russians,
give me a call if you sight one
Will do, Mr. G-man with the license-to-kill gun
But are you sure them hated Russians don’t look like
black raisins orange jumpsuit tanned in the sun?!

Light Verse
A blinding wind rescinds my vision of the tundra’s rich ruins
White-dark obstructing the dark-white frigid dunes
Gloves numbly clutching shovel dumbly
Lunging for ore or foreign money
Turnipbottom dirtpale the truest shade
In Siberian vespers all colors fade
But each double parka’d sweatdrop bleeds a Bombay summer
Tickling, trickling south like my fantasy sojourn
Each snowflake calls to mind a pachyderm, a
Moment fleeting, dying on terra firma
Siberia may not be fain to offer freedom
But India will remain my spirit’s Eden

Couplet
Metal to metal
Bumping along
Monotonous humming
Anxiety strong
Trees in my window
Snow on the tracks
Towns without names
Filled with old wooden shacks
Surrounded by vodka
On tables and breaths
Checkers and Yahtzee
Gambling debts
Fervorous passion
Escaping my heart
Aching and yearning
For amorous spark
Pools of turquoise
In the aisle ahead
Hair shines like copper
Atop of her head
Rest here beside me
Capture my soul
Siberian angel
More precious than gold
Minutes to hours
Day into night
Curled beside me
Light up my life
Whispers from heaven
Capture my ears
Mind numbing beauty
Brings me to tears

Siberian tiger, striped, brave and strong
She covered my entire car, ten feet long
Six hundred and sixty pounds turned and stared me down
I ran until I reached the edge of the very next large town
You were never in danger, a voice said in my head.
He’s just a big pussy, a pet of your weird old neighbor Ned.
But part of me knew better, and was glad I had been spared.
For neighbors like this odd duck man, I have truly never cared.
