I caught a showy springtime scene
This morning bright in warming sun:
A Carolina Chickadee
An energetic orbit flapped
Then perched a tiny moment’s rest
Amid a dogwood’s snowy blooms.

Red in colour, trumpet-shaped,
Showy and conspicuous,
I’m known by the name Hibiscus.
I adorn your garden like Eden,
Birds, bees and butterflies
Fondly come to me
For a deep drink of nectar.
A variety of wildlife amidst you,
What a kaleidoscope to watch!
I fall right after I bloom,
But my life doesn’t end then;
I’m a remedy for diseases many.
She has finally come with snowy sister. Month of showy harvest too I followed my dad like a little lamb To see the pregnant paddy field
Who is ready to yield
Excessive gifts
serve to bless his
show of largesse.

Cheers stagy Brazil
where every day is always
always carnival !
Here comes the uppity bejeweled crow
Carrying her loud beak just so and so
She is wearing a cape as white as snow
Her beady eyes turn on me; they have a glow
Flashing gemstone rings are on her feathers today
She preens and twists, weirdly turning away
Around her neck there is a diamond choker
I heard she won this playing cardinal poker
