"Not set up for failure"
(Verse1)
This is my life(let me live it)
You judging before you could hear it
You never tried to listen to my song
And every time i say something
Its always wrong(wrong)
You only flipped through one page
Not a chapter
And you didn't summarize
No you're after (after)
You still haven't tried to find the truth trying to hurt me there's no use
No matter what another one may sell ya
Know that im not set up for failure
(Chorus)
Opinions they dont even matter
Its even sadder(even sadder)
Trying to climb
Climb that ladder (ladder)
I will succeed
Dont you get madder
I just want to tell ya
The way my life set up
Its not set up for failure (failure)
(Verse2)
Spent to much time on this earth
Pleasing people and it really hurts(hurts)
Knowing that some people will not understand
That before i was born
I was already in the plan
My talk may be different than yours
But we the same
So when i want success
Why do we complain
We should root eachother on
Be one anothers strength
We can all be strong
Stop downing one another all day long (long)
Listen now or you may
It can be clever
I am set up but not for failure
(Chorus)
Opinions they dont even matter
Its even sadder(even sadder)
Trying to climb
Climb that ladder (ladder)
I will succeed
Dont you get madder
I just want to tell ya
The way my life set up
Its not set up for failure (failure)
Stop dwelling on the past
Its your life
Just make it last
You can do it
All you got to do is put your mind to it
Playing the perfect song
We are much better
Whether right or wrong
Falling on and off the tracks
Gotta reclaim get your life back
Listen to me im trying to tell ya
Im not set up for failure
Chorus)
Opinions they dont even matter
Its even sadder(even sadder)
Trying to climb
Climb that ladder (ladder)
I will succeed
Dont you get madder
I just want to tell ya
The way my life set up
Is not set up for failure (failure)
Repeat until chorus fades

Set up, high up
Where the clouds starts the race
Reaching, calls for grace
Not knownly, you stand a chance
Set up, high up
Stands way above norms
Calling unto non but God
Dredged fully in thy good
For a course called Gold
Set up, high up
A dream unknown to these eyes
Light in tunnel dark
Fight to tunnel bright
True success, now you know
Set up, high up
Morals beyond Saints
Emitting gliming virtues
Yearned by all
Set up, high up
Up high
A realm of immortality
Not carnal but in deed
Known to generations
Set up
To ride high, up high.

You were suppose to love me, . . . you did not.
You were suppose to accept me, . . . you did not.
You were supposed to protect me, . . . you did not.
You lead the way of abuse, criticisms, and put downs,
And others followed.
You were suppose to nurture me, . . . you did not.
Instead you tore me down, . . . never uttering a kind word,
Never showing a good reaction to my accomplishments.
You were suppose to show me,
What the love of a man should look like,
You were supposed to hug and hold me,
Instead the only time you touched me was in anger,
You only touched me at the end of your belt,
You did not show me.
Is it any wonder?
I put up with slaps, belts, choking, name calling, etc.,
I tolerated the unthinkable, . . . from the men that I loved,
From the men from whom I desperately sought love,
‘Til I said, enough.
Again I say, is it any wonder I did?
I was set up for tolerance, . . .
Dad,
Brother,
Uncle,
Grandfather,
Step Father.
By you.
Indeed, that you did do.
Carbon is life to a tree.
Without carbon, there would be no tree.
God set it up this way, you see
and, the tree depends on you and me !

I was trying to hesitate
From going on a blind date
But my friends took the lead
Saying it's just what I need
My love life's been in a spin
My heart always pulling in
When I saw someone was getting
Way too close I was not letting
My emotions run too wild
I became so weak and mild
Since my life has always been
A trampoline for all the men
That's been bouncing in and out
True love I knew nothing about
Every time I tried to feel
Something so precious and real
They would go and not come back
My heart always felt the smack
Of another door slammed shut
Never knowing why or what
I keep repelling them away
Why can't just one of them stay
Longer than a month or so
With no reason they must go
So when my friends said they knew
Someone faithful and so true
It was hard believing such
A man would not hurt me as much
Like everyone else has done
Always being on the run
My courage and faith was thin
Trying to find love again
But I sat down so politely
But my heart was treading lightly
Hours of talking went by
I was trying not to cry
Hearing him tell tales of
Being left by those he loved
It was like he was my clone
Left so stranded and alone
We just stared and couldn't speak
As tears rolled down both our cheeks
Knowing it was destiny
For both of us here to be
Fixed up with another heart
That's been broken all apart
There is something about a suicide bombing
That to me is quite alarming
What really was their actual intent?
And also message they may have meant.
Both killing as well as bodily harm
Has the whole world up in alarm
What will we all have to do next?
This is my message I had sent by text.
All of our blood is running thin
When you keep doing it again and again
To NATO and SEATO we should stampede
And set up a council to fulfill this need.
Her name was Miss Mosie and she was one of a kind
She watered her red posies, and she had a sound mind.
She is the only giraffe in the building, some whispered.
They tried to set her up, with old fussbudget McLispered.
McLispered was a horse, which was not the same at all.
At least they both have long faces, and they are tall.
She smiles at him sometimes from the window one said.
That is creepy, replied another, his name was Old Ned.
How could we entice another giraffe to move in?
She would be furious about it said Ratface, one of her kin.
They found a willing Giraffe, he was clever and tall.
But they had nothing in common, I mean nothing at all.
She was a Democrat, he said he was anti-vote.
She did not like sailing, he spent most of his time on his boat.
That sure did backfire! The neighbors readily agreed.
The next one they tried to match up was a fellow named Weed.
Weed was a bird who could not fly, thanks to a broken wing.
They tried to find another grounded bird, but was there such a thing?
The happiest thing happened, Weed and Miss Mosie found each other.
They live together happily, says her stunned daddy and brother.

it wouldn't last
UP SET SET UP!
-Dharga Nagar Safa
Set up,
Before going,
Up set,
Take over,
Before coming,
Over take!
Had it all set up
From the beginning
A life led by lies
You never told me
What was going on in your head
Because you weren’t there
But someone was
You’ve become a traitor to yourself
Form:
be aware as you stare
everyone don't care
they do bad stuff
don't get cuff
and bit the dust

SET UP
One's life is already planned
Before it was bloom
As if predicted
Without even picturing the future.
Once gifted to be born
Life itself will be alive
As if predicted
Without the future telling it.
However, life somehow can’t live
It needs courage, love, and faith
Joy, sadness, and sorrow
Any emotions should take.
As well as the experience
One's life should make
As if no one expected
Even what the future predicted is.
One's life is enjoying
And itself should be enjoyed
As if there’s no tomorrow
Nor whatever is ahead.
Because one's life is already planned
It was predicted to begone
The difference is,
What time do your limits’ expire?
And that is how ones life lives and die
As if predicted
Without the future telling it.
It was all set up.
She was destined to fail
At this challenge for sure.
Demons barking in her mind
Held her captive, not pure.
Addicted to adventure,
She sought to do her best.
Slain feelings lay dormant,
As she attempted the worst known test.
She could not abstain,
For her nature was trained….
No matter what happened
She would try until drained.
The woes in her head
Were familiar and true.
Her vain challenger was impressed
With her efforts, and tenacity too.
A test each had failed, but she had come close.
For she had determination and effort, this sweet little vampire.
