Selah

The Dolphins in the sea dear Lord, they dance for You

They dance for You, I know they do....

Trees which sway in the breeze their rejoicing, as they bow

Calling Your name as they bow, to You dear Lord, I know they do ~

Birds that sing, Mountains and Oceans that gaze, Angels who bring

These Gifts of Your Light and Love, to this world, I know they do?!

Everywhere I turn I find You there, Your Beauty, filling the air....

In the night sky Your Stars that shine; Your Holy Spirit *

Within all of Humankind; their Hearts, their Eyes; Your Creations

The valleys, the fields, the depths, the heights; Your Glory ~

Your Majesty; the darkness can no longer hide!?

Your Kingdom, dear Lord, soon like a rushing tide; washing away

Forever the sorrow amid it all; this day, this poisoned dust....

O' death where is your sting? O' grave where is your victory?

Swallowed! As a shooting comet piercing this passing plight!

“Free at last, thank God Almighty, we're free at last.” ~

The Lions in their dens, the Babies in their cribs....

Every living thing and every Spirit reaching out; Shout

For the Lord His coming; His hands, His Love, His plans

Eternity, with the Majestic and Only, Glorious Great I Am *

The Prince of Peace, the King of Kings, the Beginning, and the End....

Standing at heavens threshold; everywhere I turn, everyday, every

Breath I take, I find You there, dear Lord?!

In the flowers, in the forest, in the sky, in, their Beautiful Lives ~

Deep inside; Humankind, this rushing tide; “All of Creation”

They dance for You, dear Lord, they dance for You, I know they do....

Nothing

 "There is strength in silence."
Anthony Douglas Williams

Nothing heard.
Such a deafening hush
can frighten some people.
Quiet has its intrinsic goodness.
Consider careless musicians
who ignore the rests in music.

Nothing said.
Ask a Quaker,
to explain the settled silence
which they practice in worship.
Listening for the still, small voice
can be a fruitful time of self-examination.

Nothing needed
except the curious word, Selah.
Selah is an expression often found
in the Psalms of King David.
Why is it used and what does it mean -
pause to ponder.

SELAH

As the sharp rays of sunlight slowly sliced
through the tinted tarring clouds
sculpting away the web of darkness of night
I broke off a piece of time and used it
to scrape away the corrosion of agony
from the heart of my mind
and resuscitated my eroded faith.

Today I will open dusty luggage of creativity
and pull out wrinkled war worn words of creation:
etch ebony emotions of long lived life
onto refined pulp of trees; weave soul stirring songs;
mold scented petals flowering peace and love;
and feel the breath of God warming my serene sweet soul
as He feathers the nest of my pregnant poetic mind. Selah.

It’s late August, and there are some hot days yet ahead. The heating system of the earth has gotten the word. It is time to start down shifting to lower temperatures. Such orders are clearly understood by Mr. Summer. He has to share the climate stage with Miss Autumn.

Standing ready for their commanding orders are the weeds and the seeds.
Flowers and trees are listening, as are beautiful birds and honey bees.
Ants and squirrels gather and store their harvest, but continue to feed.
Nature’s bells slowly ring as summer’s Season begins to recline and recede.
I whisper a prayer about our many creeds, selfish deeds, and our greed.

May we pause and calm ourselves like the creatures and trees of nature.
May we fine tune our hearts and open our ears to hear that clarion sound.
May we respond to Creation’s King, and experience a ‘Selah Season’*

I reflect on my current 'reality' & how I have thought in my past day's
Indeed how many times I reasoned on your existence.' Or lack of it?
Or gave you a Dimension I could at least comprehend.'
How alike was I in all this as is all mankind?
Time.. Tangibility, how self deluded can we be? is a hundred years forever?
Yet this small space.' I.. We have denoted as 'reality' as a time of portent even'
Thuough this was only because it was in 'my' lifetimes span,
Have not others gone through the same passage, in lifes transient chapter?
How alike in our miscomprension we can be.'
For it is written, you make my days as a 'handsbreadth'
Again it says you view a thousand years as a watch that passes in the night,
For a thousand years is like a day, and a day is like a thousand years to You,
Also in all this, all the conjecture all the 'science' do not these actions.. This
Expenditure of our precious time, reinforce the very truth of your existence.?
For whoever built themselves castle walls, if it were not to keep someone out?
Whoever has not mustered their arguments before going into the courtroom?

Selah, Be Still and Know

Be still and know
God’s Spirit shows
us where to go
Selah. Be still and know.

We talk too much
Spirit, nonesuch,
leads with soft touch
when we’re talking too much.

God is still near
when we can’t hear
lost in our fear
have faith, God is still near.

Peace be still, words
from my Shepherd
my heart was stirred
Peace, be still, all I heard.

God's still small voice
hearing? our choice,
Selah. Rejoice
heeding God's still small voice.

A
place you want to be is heaven
A
space you want to inhabit
Now
In retrospect
Whom Am I to contest, to resist
Just need a kiss from the Father
And yes
He will bother
To put that inkling... in your heart
But it's ultimately is your choice
Just listen to the soft, small quiet voice
Now
In retrospect
If I would just, resist the devil
he SHALL flee from me
Ignore the loud voice deny it
Listen to the quiet voice
Selah
Peace

Selah=A Rock Fortress-The capitol city of Edom

I am a rock
I am no island

I belong
I am a Child Of God

My Lord and savior

Now and forever
Until the end
I am not a part of

this world is absurd

Selah.

Let all the music stop.
Silence all the joyful noises.
Meditate upon His word
As the singers lift their voices.

Dancers hold your movements.
Musicians cease your playing.
Let us sing God's praise together
And think of what we are saying.

Selah!

Selah! (Ponder and Think)

God wills and sends angels to earth.
To celebrate the Christ Child's birth.
Where kings and shepherds did behold.
At the manger they gave Him gold.

Warnings reached His parents. They fled.
King Herod ordered children dead.
Mary and Joseph took great heed.
God saved Christ from the horrid deed.

Born in the town of Bethlehem.
The Son of God; sin's requiem
Three of thirty-three years He taught.
His life ended; man's hatred wrought.

But resurrection saved the day!
And Pentecost brought “Light” to stay.
Christ on earth taught His Father's way.
Mercy for sin repentance lay.

God forgives us as we forgive.
Obedient faith; blessings give.
We are judged as we judge brothers.
Judge not. Instead forgive others.

Celebrate all goodness in life.
Calm the soul and relinquish strife.
Prophets taught all around God's world.
God loves us all. Peace is unfurled.

Throughout the world where hopes weaken,
Let God's words become a beacon.
Love and cherish every other.
Through true faith uplift another.

We have the rules so grab them up.
Jesus Christ drank His bitter cup.
Follow His lead through righteous ways.
Claim world peace in these latter days.

Hebrew Poetry

A Maskil by Anil
Themes that span every emotion
Schemes and plans of enemies
No rhyme but every reason
To thank Creator God for victories

Lord Thy Love bathed us for generations
Lord Thou, ever faithful, so merciful
Lord, without Thee, hate and humiliations
Would be our cup. Worship God Eternal
(Selah! A musical term, or pause)
We praise Him dawn & dusk, First Cause
