August Rains
The steadily falling cold August rains
Continue to pour upon Cheshires lanes;
Over flattening fields of soddened wheat,
Soaking the grass, splashing the feet.

Stands the Combine in the shed;
The unripened apples hanging rosy red.
Stands the caped heron all alone -
His glinting eye as cold as stone.

And in amongst...

Rains
It’s raining outside
I can see on my window panes
Rain droplets slide
Inside seemingly dry eyes something triggers rains

Memories are cruel
They don’t spare
O agonizing thoughts! Do not fuel the flame
And waste the gems rare

The storm has been building for ages I know
The despair left no trace of...

Norway Rains

I love the rain

Under my umbrella

Staring at rainbows

Wishing for dreams

My stomach is hungry, so it seems

I may be just a wee little kid

In the country rain

Still I know dreams do come true

As Anne-Lise brings my favorite ice cream

Smiles all, through and through

Laughter echoes in...

Premium Member Sometimes It Rains On a Clear Sunny Day
At stroke of the dawn as the sun is rising
Birds are chirping to awaken the morning
From the trees that sway in gentle breeze
Breeze that whispers melodic greetings

Greetings that convey comforting feelings
Taking a slow walk with musings alluring
Humming the tune of romantic lyrics
Lyrics that mesmerize...

As Solitude Rains
````
As the sunset of life beckons me
in marmalade farewells, orange sherbet adieus,
I stroll in uneven footsteps,
not sure of the bridges I crossed
or those burned in the process
Alone I follow the polished pebbles
scattered along this lethargic path,
nary a word or whisper, only my thoughts
peering back...
It Only Hurts Because It Rains
Wandering eyes piercing silent wounds
focusing on whatever temporarily resumed
wondering what havoc makes this love abound
never turning to look around
eyes only for each other
closer than a brother
lush we have in togetherness swoon
not a fragile balloon
stare into the deepest oceans
blue and hazel turn into private notions
a precious...
Premium Member Rains of Winter
Rains of winter are often  tiring
As well as relentlessly unending.
Our poet finds them uninspiring.
She regrets hours she has been spending
On poetry, tiring and unending.
She tries to hit a lighter note
By turning to reading of the bards.
Comparing them to what she wrote
Is a swift turning...
Rains
Whenever the sun hides behind cloud,
One could discover lightening & thunder aloud.
When it starts to drizzle, the roads fill up with mud;
Then heavy rains cause it to flood.
Some people feel the rain, others just get wet;
After a few moments the rain gets set.
When anybody is...
October Rains
Rain slipped in
 sliding on the din
just passed dark
 came midnight sparks
before the light of morning sun,
 spits and spats, tips and taps,
lulls and dulls,
 sputtered mutters culls,
 on the shutters closed,
clammy, dank, and damp,
click-clack, stamped,
 pitter-patter tones,
...
A Poem of Rains
When black clouds cover the sky
and cold winds blow strongly
There will be rain soon
Nobody goes out of home…
Rains fall on the trees, on houses
and on the green fields of crops
Rains make the lands fertile and
bring sweet drinking water for us……
A cloudy day makes me...
When It Rains
Sometimes you can't tell it's raining
until you see the puddle
Drops floating, cascading down to earth
so seemingly subtle
But far from dainty are these drops
displacers of dirt and dry
Each shatters like a nuclear bomb
cast downward from the sky
The wreckage of which is washed away
absorbed into...
Premium Member The Joys of Spring Rains
Cascading baubles, crystals in the air;
raindrops dance down without a single care.
Tulips smile as they drink the water in
heaven’s nectar of pitter-patter din.
To softest ground the hungry birds arrive,
for tasty meals, beaks take a a little dive.
The hungry hatchlings singing little chirps,
will be appeased post...
The sensuous two as the rain cascades
Droplets of pleasure like sweet lemonade
Lips in lock exciting their desire
To silken sheets they loving retire
Whilst the winds carry droplets of rain
Internally they connect creating loving champagne
In sync, in rhythm, they joyously caress
Their hips grinding in bodily bless
The rains...
Il Pleut
Il Pleut
It rains torrentially
after long drought and disorder;
it rains drenching the empathetic
scraggy soil of the heart
it rains moistening the rocks of anger
crags of revenge and cracks of depravity
it rains covering the jealous holes with purity
healing the undesirable crevices of the being
it pours incessantly to cover...
