The Joys of Spring Rains

Cascading baubles, crystals in the air; raindrops dance down without a single care. Tulips smile as they drink the water in heaven’s nectar of pitter-patter din. To softest ground the hungry birds arrive, for tasty meals, beaks take a a little dive. The hungry hatchlings singing little chirps, will be appeased post meal with tiny burps. Spring blooms of the narcissus and iris, replenish stalks with liquid refreshment. my mind travels back to the fonder days, of my childhood when in the rain we played.

I used to love playing in the rain as a child and often the sun was out and it still rained - In Africa, we call that "A Monkey's wedding" Beautiful rhyme and rhythm - love it. Blessings, Jennifer.

I wouldn't mind the rain if it was just spring rains... seems we have been in a weird cycle for well over a year of rain every couple days... I long for the warmth of the sun and seeing flowers grow.... we have even had odd frosty mornings and snow showers this month... love your poem though... nice write... hugs

Ah, the joys! I shouldn't be 'mopey' when the rain starts falling from a slate-gray sky!
