The Joys of Spring Rains
Cascading baubles, crystals in the air;
raindrops dance down without a single care.
Tulips smile as they drink the water in
heaven’s nectar of pitter-patter din.
To softest ground the hungry birds arrive,
for tasty meals, beaks take a a little dive.
The hungry hatchlings singing little chirps,
will be appeased post meal with tiny burps.
Spring blooms of the narcissus and iris,
replenish stalks with liquid refreshment.
my mind travels back to the fonder days,
of my childhood when in the rain we played.
