Best Profit Poems

Clarity of Profit

The Industrial Revolution
where mass produced humans
were created to buy more products.

Profit

When profit guides the needs of man,
the wise withdraw to where they can
look closely at just what they need,
although it's true, you must succeed
in feeding family and provide
the things that keep us all alive.

When things look bleak and fall apart
look deep for what is in your heart,
don't let the bastards grind you down
or even let them see you frown.
Just bare your soul for all to see,
a winner you will always be.

But I don't care the deed is done
and I'll continue having fun
for when you've lived as long as me
important things have changed you see.
They're not the things that you can buy
but those you carry when you die.

Premium Member Murdering the CEO

When the frustrated socialist sees that health care isn't free
He turns into a killer, claims he's saving you and me
He murders a CEO, to make a point, because he could
For the goal of perfection is the enemy of the good

He gets adulation from those who think healthcare is a right
They think profit is the devil, and he was fighting the good fight
But doctors must be paid, and nurses, drug makers too
When the government runs it all, will you kill when you can't sue?

Britain has national care, there the docs are underpaid
Patients don't get seen on time, whistleblowers are afraid
50 thousand wrong deaths each year, at least death is free
Anyone can murder, but that way lies anarchy.

Brian was a farm boy, then Valedictorian, then a CPA
Became an overpaid CEO, but isn't rising the American way?
He helped disabled kids compete, stayed a regular guy
But a rich Ivy League kid decided he must die.

When Covid came, Brian offered to distribute funds for free
Some see profit over people but doesn't seem that way to me.
It may be rad and cool to cheer, maybe they feel authentic and real
But some of us just see murder, and a wound that will fester, never heal.

There are problems with our health care, most of us agree
But if you think it's expensive now, just wait until its free
Systems that tried to replace profit, slaughtered millions, quite bizarre
I never understood how hypocritical radical leftists are.

If you come across the border, you get free care in the E.R.
Our hospitals go broke, because idealists went too far
Medicaid won't pay full costs, that causes bankruptcy too
And yes, our insurance system makes no sense, it needs a big redo.

No doctor can cure this revealed sickness in the air
Only 33 percent of youth say the killing was unfair
If you live by abstractions, you won't see wrong from right
A world that cheers on murder cannot claim the moral height.

False Profit

I've been misled by my opprobrium again
Stuck in this continuum until the bitter end
Elysian fields beckon me like a moth to flame
Halcyon days gone like 15 minutes of fame
Coal black devil in a pinstripe suit
and the suicide king are in cahoots
To strip me of every last fiber of being
until it's all over but the fleeing
Girded by the phalanx, but still just one man
I wade into the gore as far as I can
Herded like a sheep to its slaughter
I'd fight back but why bother
Miscreants and mendicants, magi and infants
Orchard full of the skulls of dissidents
Juxtapose a joke within the jeer
Somewhere amidst the ennui and the fear
Go to church and lurch forward in your seat
Bring a casserole for the meet and greet
Pixelated images and a distorted voice
mouth full of marbles garbling about choice
Parading about with the éclat of a Broadway actor
while actually looking for the next benefactor
Truth be told, water does come from a stone
As long as the glory is given to God alone

Premium Member The Profit Speaks

When the Profit speaks
His sheeple listen

With majority silenced
Calm waters glisten

On the shore sits the dog
Who sees a dog with a bone

At his reflection he snaps
To be left boneless alone

With all the riches acquired
Without clean air or water

All the money in the world
Will be nothing but fodder

Profit of Lost Souls

profit of lost souls

In the profit of lost souls

A twenty first century global order
where paper trails all but disappear
and trade moves at light speed through

Complex numbers and feedback loops of uncertainty
in a blink of an eye companies can die
and where nothing seems real at all

Fresh out of college with their MBA’s
young mathematicians
quantify risks in calculus of the mind
of binary systems of information
hedging and shifting derivatives of
machine driven numbers made mad

Of exploiters predators and prey
of slipping shads and profits in disguise
shock doctrines of deceptions and decay

Through the lucid shadows of terminology
at their device conditioned minds do their bid
market schemes of house of cards
in halls of mirrors and disguise
where transparency there is none

Where interests bleed the wire bare
leaving children with sunken stares
in the aristocracy of our times
when king midis plays Nero’s fiddle
to the burning flames of creative destruction

Metaphors of lust where hungry ghosts turn to dust
short term gains with blinders on the bottom line
cement forests over and destroy our earthly seeds
to darken that which wasn’t dark
turning living clay into warm decay

In endless glut for licking lips
reside in boss tweeds barbarity of austerity
proclaiming ideas of progress with myths of
markets amidst the wounded fauns

To those nickel and dimed
left stranded condemned to prisons of grime
where whistle blowers don’t dare and corruption
lies bare commodified amidst the pillars of plutocracies
with greasy palms and open pockets

Supply sided for the wealth of nations
where Keynesian's are all but dead
amidst the profit of lost souls

Premium Member Real and Lasting Profit -Mark 8: 36

God sends forth His gospel
for it to reach down into your soul
offering you eternal hope in love
grabbing it must ever be your goal

As living mankind looking in hope
focusing on that which brings profit
but what will bring true reward?
our minds and thoughts need be knit

The whole world beckons us to
looking unto it for your reward
to be giving your all for it's gain
be warned be really with your sword

This world could all be yours
but if so what will you really gain?
for in it you lose your own soul
stop and think what will that attain?

God calls you to come and receive
all of His mercy salvation and grace
leave this world and it's sinful desires
look to Jesus follow his heavenly race

Doomsday Profit

A most irksome, most self-righteous creature on earth,
this megaphoning doomsday prophet of the street,
harassing and haranguing everyone to repent.

This holier-than-thou dude with an attitude,
is just like some toothless dentist of decency,
guarding the molars of morals of society,

Good folks he threatens with spiritual tooth decay.
Ah, but from the curse of eternal misery,
he spares those who donate so much to his treasury!

The New Normal

The new normal

Welcome to the new normal in Australia
This land of sweeping plain politicians
In the face of hot and cold situations
Getting hotter and colder
Not just here, but globally

And we supply coal to the world
Lying straight faced about meeting our targets
Well, not me, but the profit mongers
And their mates in the big bubble
Making decisions based on returns
For the polluters and the rest of the exploiters

And therein lies the solution to their new normal
System change to address climate change
Revolution is the only solution
To their profit and pollution
Revolt, now, in our millions

Qoheleth

Qoheleth

The now generation passes away; one enters
All the while, the Earth doth abideth forever.
The Sun comes up, the Sun goes down– Arise!
The Winds whirl South to North and then return
While the rivers run into the Sea
Yet the Sea is not full, unto this place – the Sun.

I have seen all the works under the Sun
As I gave my heart to seek and search – return
To vanity and vexation of spirit which goes on forever.
Wanting cannot be numbered like fishes in the Sea
And that which is crooked cannot be made straight – Arise!
Young One, focus now quickly to see – One enters.

All things are full of labor; man cannot endure forever.
The Eye is not satisfied with seeing, not ever the Sea
You must be solicitous as you realize your legacy enters
Your mind, of late; winter bows to thee thy Sun.

Cast thy bread upon the Sea
Removing sorrow from your heart – forever
As life’s pleasures darken – Gone is the Sun
And your door’s shall be shut, yet – He enters.
Windows may be darkened – Arise!

I’ve made my gardens and planted trees – forever
In pools of water that bring forth the vineyard – Arise!
Of Hearts despair and labor I took from the Sun.
Blue Green, Blue Green deep Sea
Returneth thee, solace the Young, Return
For my days are quietly over – He enters

And says unto thee: Do Good and I will give forever
Wisdom and Knowledge and Joy – Arise!
Labor with Heartily desires under the Sun
Take care of my gift, I bequeath the Sea
I Shall Return
He Enters

The words of the Preacher – Arise! – And return
As He enters the Sea and
Asks, What profit forever taken under the Sun?

Note: I was looking for the sound of the waves of the ocean. Jan Strough

Premium Member An Economic Food Chain

A nature food chain
Linkng the carnivorous and the herbivorous
May be simple
And so an economic food chain within man
The rich and the poor
The poor works hard for the rich with low wage
But when the rich dumps the rubbish
The poor can collect it and sell for some money
Garbage in a disposable bag
May be useless to the rich
But a treasure to the poor
A nature food chain can be complex
too
The same for man's during the rise in prices
The seller only raises the prices to get the same profits
But the buyer pays the extra expenditures
Without someone sharing the burden
The chain goes on and on
And the rich becomes richer
And the poor remains poorer

Polished For Profit

Don't say a Farmer
Loves his fowl
Instead -
He loves himself.

Because he comes
Around with corns
To spread along their lawn.

With water cans.
And grains of kinds
To feed his fowls at dawn.

And coloured drugs
And injecting 'cines
To fatten his tiny things.

Cage is for shelter.
Lamp is for weather.
Armed dogs to curb robbers.

I don't need the farmers' Love
O' yes -
That is no Love.

All he hopes
Is for a fowl
Worth a huge-ing sum.

To buy himself
And not for them
A very big mansion.

I don't need the farmers' Love
O' yes -
That is no Love...

All he hopes
Is for a fowl
Blessed with less of bones.

To eat with friends
And take delight
Among his kith and kin.

Don't say, don't say
He loves his fowls
Instead -
He loves himself...

Love me
And don't expect a pay.
True love
Is all I say!

Allah and the Profit

ISIS-K blew up a girls' school*
al-Qaida claim flogging is cool
No girl is worth
A clump of earth
Wherever the Taliban rule

Jihadists strive to be lanky
To decapitate a Yankee
If Allah were judge
Would He prefer fudge
To another bloodstained hanky?

Shed No Tears

Shed No tears
There we go the same thing all over again
More of the same nothing changes
But the location and date
Death is death
Killing is killing
War profit is war profit
Way it goes from Napoleon to now
The dollar amount increases
Making the fat cats fatter
Their bank accounts rise to God
This will never ever end
Like the Alien films
They rule and own all things
Not even aliens can stop this
War is big business
And death is death
Shed no tears...

each symbol worth a thousand words
ancient culture spread like a tree in all directions
today the technological era has caused the mighty system to lean
