Arid, barren, desolate
skeletons strewn carelessly
  jarring parched landscapes

Tucked away under rocks and boulders
one-celled creatures huddle
  motionless, gasping, wheezing

Noonday sun blisters
methane-enveloped tropics
  the poles whistle as well

Oceans bubble, foam, boil
water sizzling, spitting lava
  lifeless depths of charcoal ash

Far, far to the south...

VANISHED

We are the echoing voices crying within the darkness,
Melting mists of vapor co-existing amongst the living,
The ambling drifters shifting between reality and limbo,
The vanished.

Displacement malfunction, the frozen chill in one’s space,
Happening without explanation, the corporal spirit sliding
In the temporal rift as if a doorway has...

I Am An Alien

I am an alien to this world
Born of atoms created billions of years ago
Atoms which drifted through time
Across millions of light years of space
Not connecting until they came upon a blue green planet
Random events brought them together
Giving them the breath of life
The...

Too much testosterone in our Bologna

too much testosterone-e in our baloney

killed the dignity of our femininity.

Stepped out of my character onto front

lines, armed with cocktails, rocks, and lighters

Mothers, warriors, and freedom fighters.

Black, setbacks and women's rights too

taking us back 360...

We humans like all creatures to have a purpose, an aim,
From one-celled amoebas to fungi-spore glebas,
They need a good reason to compete in life's game.
Consider cats: They school us in hygiene
Licking their paws and their fur shiny clean.
And how 'bout tiny ants, who teach us...

Premium Member Man's Reign Untoward
The things which make my blood rise
surge and boil, bringing a witches cauldron’s
of hell fire, to the for…are not the natural things like sunrise
or the beauty of a pasture green, or golden
No, for me it is all, the daily injustices that men promote
as women...

Premium Member White Noise
My fan drowns out the noise of the city streets as I sleep.
Squared out silence displaced from my eardrums as the earth hums.
The rise and fall of this dirt crusted layer in my chest, with every trip of my heart flux, flowing molten lava...

Wonderment At Existence
With scrunched and bushy furrowed brow
I often ponder the precise circumstances
that any thing 2 be born this way
   as a poker face
Tracing back lineage of self or
arbitrary individual unpredictable as the Dow

The unseen miracles you can feel
the spirit force that gently heals,
the soul that makes us humankind
that seeks to hold a faith divine.

An unseen miracle started life's show
from tiny one celled speck we grow,
reaching limitless imagination
that makes miracles from fascination.

Origins
Somewhere in the darkness a tiny wave of energy begins to oscillate
It sends ripples of potentiality across the vast ocean of space
The ripples turn into larger waves
And create a shock that reverberates throughout the whole of the cosmos
Tiny particles millions of light years...

Feigning to emulate NON GMO
garden variety English major oh just so
ho-hum, this ousted son and cingular bro
biological byproduct of papa's yoyo

after mama taut Peppy how to grow
big and become vein, her issuing blow
by blow stroke, thence pecker
imitated fountainhead

unleashing at apropos

Winters' Hard Times
Who likes rich people, not many,
the middle class are rich and ignore that fact,
even though the ladies whole bit is about being likable,
maybe I'm the last one who should say what normal is,
since you spend so much time judging my cover,
but I think you know...
