Premium Member Oldies Are Goldies
like the refrain
of an old half forgotten song
you play in my mind
over and over
and I hum along
no longer remembering words
but sing-a-long feelings
keep me in tune

you were a hit
top of my charts
and yet
new songs have come
new tunes are sung
new words blaze
and yet
in that haze
of half forgotten...

Remember the star I named after you
The one that hung right next to the moon
It was as mysterious as an ancient rune
Casting its spell as through the heavens it flew

Now that star is but a distant...

Golden Oldies
Dimes drop, records begin to drop
Rhythm to stroll, jivin’ to hip hop
Slow to jitterbug, boogaloo to rock
Twistin’ Chubby and rock around the clock

The Platters sing, you hold her close
Eye to eye, love’s first dose
Beach Boys up next, time to surf
Steppin’ on toes,...

Rocknroll Oldies Narrative
July 4, 1961

           Well HELLO MARY LOU,

You won’t believe this but I just HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE that someone else was
getting a DOUBLE SHOT OF MY BABYS’ LOVE. Right now TIME WON’T...

Engulfed in recollections bittersweet
Reminded just how lonely life can be
How sad the fact that mem'ries are not free
From train of thought pass shadows in the street
Within the strains feelings become up beat
Piece shiny shards of broken memories
So many good times on life's open seas
Our failures...

I do not sing any of the new songs. But I can sing Let the Little Girl Dance.
Teen angel, I’m sorry, It’s now or never, everybody’s somebody’s fool.
Alley-oop, itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini and chain gang.
Poetry in motion, Georgia on my Mind,...

Speak Softly Of Love

Speak softly of love so no one sees our love lost eyes
But you and the stars glowing in the billowing skies
Slowly you suckled into my heart like fluttering butterflies
My love floated with you over boughs and mountains
Crystallising our love lorn moments...

I’m laughing this morning, spontaneously. We’re not studying any more. Our sophomore school year is over. I’m giddy, giggling, like a 9 year old on sugar.
I think I just finished the hardest class that I’ll ever take - my last pure-math class, ever - and...

All I Have To Do Is Dream
Night or day
Dreamin' life away

Do You Want To Dance
Under the moonlight
through the night

Who's Sorry Now
Sad and blue
Cried over you

Poor Little Fool
Lied to me
Won her victory

Meaning of romance
One more chance

Wandering around the earth saying you love me? What do you know of love..,
If I thought you knew anything of love I would've stayed..
yes, there beside you in that little house, in that little bed.
Not just locked away inside that thick head.

(I can't...

Christmas Movies
I love to sit in comfort
At home watching TV
I watch my favorite movies
The one's that work for me

It's not a Christmas movie
Just because there's snow
That's something folks at Hallmark
Should be told, so someone knows

To me, A Christmas movie
Has Santa and a gift
It has a Christmas...

Premium Member A Dog With a Diaper
Many people pamper their pets
Love them so much
Treat them as small children
A dog with a diaper on
For cleanliness
A dog with a mask on
For hygiene
A dog with clothes on
For tidiness
A dog with dog foods
For nutrition
A dog goes to veterinary
A specialist
To pets they pay...
