Oneness
                   Authored by Chuck Keys

It had no color,
Lacking shape, size and dimension.
It wasn't moving or breathing.

There was neither aroma nor taste, not here or there.
Touching was useless because it wasn't physical.
It was indistinct and limitless.

Thinking multi-physically
Multi-sensually and multi-psychologically
It wasn't here or there and it was.

With no distinction,
It looked like everything else,
Or it could not have looked like everything else.

It never made me feel good nor bad,
Nor happy nor sad
Nor quite nor trite.

In our world of joy and destroy, we sort and distort,
Looking more on the surface and less on the inside,
Ready to judge and be judged from outside in.

The "oneness" of mankind stretches beyond definitions and limits,
From outside to inside and from inside to outside.
We are one distinct and alike world of "oneness."

Differences exist for differences,
Therefore, differences don't exist.
Only "oneness" exists.

The Color of Poetry

As the ink touches my writing pad every letter seems to glow.
I feel I'm going mad watching sentences light so bright like a rainbow!
       Each word seems to hypnotize and my mind begins to travel.
I watch through brown eyes as the poem begins to unravel!

       Nouns and adjectives make up each dazzlingword.
The exclamation at the end of certain sentences compliment my verbs!
       Yellow, red, and blue hues reflect my mood.
Each paragraph shows a little bit more attitude!

       I wonder how so many colors can come together and still coexist?
The stanza's flutter light as a feather never tiring my wrist.
       My rainbow of letters in my sentence3s never cease to amaze me.
A canvas of art within my heart is the color of poetry!!!

Darkness fell across my writing pad, putting my stanza's in gloom.
I just knew I would go mad as I looked around the pitch dark room.
In the darkness I felt the push of my pen, and went with the flow.
A premonition again, and looked down to see each letter begin to glow!
Even the punctuation seemed to have a bluish hue, that illuminated my eyes.
I had a huge sense of deja-vu and the color of poetry I begin to recognize!

Each letter stood out all alone, and brighter they seem to grow.
Sentences like different colors of gemstones looked like a horizontal rainbow!
My pen begin to dance, having an aura of a brilliant white.
The stanza's begin to tell of a romance that would soon under the moon ignite!
I couldn't believe it had to do with me, and my head started to spin.
A love I wanted to achieve begin with the color of poetry all over again!!

Premium Member The Long Drought

The Long Drought

A raging drought is running, causing pain
Beneath the scorching sun, the barren plain
The river’s gone, she’s ceased her mighty flow
And bushland trees no longer thrive nor grow

The dams are low and dry, it pains my heart
Our town will slowly die and friends depart
No bales of straw or hay for starving stock
As more succumb each day, my dying flock

From hills of broom and land of dark”ning strife
He came to find a better way of life
The call of peaceful bush like magnet drew
In this sweet place my father’s dream came true

Beside a spread of bright and golden grain
A link was forged anew in our strong chain
Where ‘roos abound among the fields of corn
On this fair land, it’s here that I was born.

Work started for me at only fourteen
Became a sheep drover, still wiry lean
The days long an’ hard, the burden was light
The soil rich and dark, the future so bright

The farm became mine when my father died
Then came the dry clime, lost all of my pride
Long years of hard graft while still holding trust
Til lack of good rain turned soil into dust

The bank took our farm, I wished I were dead
Dark thoughts of self harm flood into my head
But senses prevail, I see them so clear
My darling wife, my young son very dear

I give you my hand, long time cobber mine
Take care of this land, it’s your dreaming time
Adieu my friends, for my time here is done
I'll pray for you all as the drought rages on.

The dark clouds were hovering,
Indicating the Rains would shower,
And I was thrilled by the Magic of Nature,
My soul too was in dance,
In tune with the Nature.

Parting Impressions

O, Golden rays of returning Sun

You are leaving your parting impressions

On these lovely yellow and dark brown clouds

While softly touching their lips

By the aroma of your enchanting lights

And saying to them a lasting Good bye.

Music of Sun

I have heard
The Music of Sun
Accompanied by
The chattering of Birds
Which he makes
While embracing
The horizons every evening

The Music comes
When the Sun feels the touch
Of the soft and colorful embrace
Of clouds and dust hanging in the sky
And his heart began to sing a song
On the heart's tune of every passer by.

R&B and Poetry

I hear R. Kelly singing, “Your Body’s Calling me”
So I pick up my pen and write some poetry
I hear Usher singing, “You Got It Bad”;
And I write about you every time I pick up a pad
I hear Ryan Lesley singing, “I Choose You”;
And I reminisce about us, and what we’ve gone through
I hear Pleasure P. singing, “I Did You Wrong”
Let us make love to these other songs
I hear Bobby Valentino singing, “Slow Down”
I just want one night with you on the town!
I hear jagged Edge singing, “Gotta Be”
I’m willing to bet this love could be a felony
I hear Robin Thicke singing, “Sex Therapy”
So com lay in this warm bed with me!
I hear Sade singing, “Ordinary Love”;
And I think of your body that was sculpted above
I hear Mary J singing, “No More Drama”
Damn, I wanna make you my baby momma!
I hear Keith Sweat singing, “I’ll give All My Love To You”;
And think of your smell that has me under your spell; your sweet honeydew!
I hear J. Holiday singing, “Bed”
So off with that lingerie let me give you amazing head!
I hear R. Kelly, again, this time singing, “Slow Wind”
As I end this Rhyme, I meditate on your love that lingers on my mind!

Tambag

Ang kahimtang sa pagka-estudyante
Dili sama sa pagdula ug online game,
Na kung ikaw buot ng mapul-an
Sayon ra kaayo nimu ning iundang.

Sa gikaingon pa sa usa ka istorya,
“Ang kinaadman maoy pundasyon sa atong katilingban.”
Busa estudyante isantok kinis alimpatakan
Ang pagtuon aduna usab gisapnay na tulubagon.

Tuod man ang kapit-os sa kinabuhi imung mabaktas
Peru dili kini ang rason ng ikaw muatras;
Kay ang pag-atras usa lamang ka timailhan
Nga ikaw way pagsalig tuod man talawan.

Busa ania ang matahom nga tambag
Sa mga kabudlay, hagit sa katilingban ug temtasyon,
Ang pagsalig sa kaugalingon ug Labing Halangdon
Mao’y labing maayo nga dapat nimung buhaton.

Kay ang tanan usa lamang ka pagsulay
Ug dili angay ikabudlay bagkos atong ikalipay,
Matod man angay igapasalamat sa Labawng Gamhanan
Kay kini timailhan, kita iyang gipangga ug gipiyalan.

Everyone
                          enjoys to take
                       a ride or just
                   to go for a leisure stride.
                    Long winding road
                       Wide and free
                            or a narrow
                         straight route
                    Lure to the eye and for a try
                      promising pile of trees
                         on pied each a natural
                           beauty pride. Lights...
                        Signals on both sides
                      Providing travelers a guide
                       Keeping them always
                    on safe side... Our
                  BREATH of LIFE is like a ROAD
                    Each passing night and day
                       there's a heavy or light load
                       Sometimes a mystery
                     with a puzzle code
                    Each one efforts
                  careful to decode
                Thanks, THERE IS GOD
                  that abides... ALWAYS THERE
                    NEVER ON UNDISCOVERABLE HIDE
                      Through all blessings
                         and trials tide. Bumps
                      and accidents slowing

                      Problems buffering
                             life's tide... Ethics,

                             they may equal to a lie
                            Whatever comes
                          however things maybe
                       Don't stop; Keep going. Even on a
                   Dark cocoon... KEEP BELIEVING! KEEP WIN-
              NING! a road like never ending until it reaches
          a happening may it be a grand or simple celebration of life
       what is essential... YOU PASSED EACH WAY LIKE IT'S YOUR LAST
LIKE - IT - IS - YOUR- LAST NOT SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST.. so I never stopped..
Despite heartaches.. Hardships I went through.. I hold on..I keep moving.. Growing..loving.. For at the end of this road there - face to face at last with my Creator.

Storms

When I was little and my world was small,
I had a fascination with island storms’ call.

As moist hot air ascends the skies and dark clouds form,
I grab my storybooks and set up my dorm.

Dorothy had Toto; I will have my brown book
For I never know what will happen to my nook.

While my folks prepare for the uninvited visitor;
I hardly mind, rather I get ready for pleasure.

Before the wind blows and the rain falls;
Grandma would serve meals and fill our bowls;

Lest it will be cold and tastes no good;
When darkness hit our humble abode.

Light(e)ning forks spread the cloudless skies;
Draw vivid images and emotions high;

I wonder then Noah was calm!
For us, children, we'd shriek and run!

When the breeze starts to whisper a humming cry,
We would start to gather ‘round father and sigh;

It is a cue for a tale to be told
And Pa always has stories untold,

Trees swirl, sending gusts whimper against the pane;
Violent waves tossed Crusoe’s ship to our brain.

Storms make stories in its marvelous form;
Stories birth silence and awe midst a storm;

As the wind howls in the stormy night,
Stories, like pray’r, make us feel alright.

stuck between tongue and teeth

Stuck between critique

                get      lost
Sentences                  disappear

She asked so little of us.
Some food, water and shelter,
but what she most desired in life was our presence,
our attention , affection and love,
and in return she gave all of us
her undying devotion, unquestionable loyalty, and unconditional love.
She will be dearly missed now that she is gone from this earthly place,
but she will be forever loved and cherished in our hearts and memories.

Rest Peacefully Tasha

In the season of Vasant (Spring)

We bloom to fill every heart

Not only with our smiles

But with the smiles of the eternal Love.

Ravindra
Kanpur India 21st Feb 2012

Explainations:

Vasant or Vasant Ritu ( Season) is the Sanskrit or Hindi word
meaning spring
Or the season of the festival of joys and pleasures,
When the heart began to feel afresh
Like the newly bloomed bud and swings in the air
With the wind flowing filled with the aching for love.
