Hello said the owl..' Dumpty just sat down rather morosely: the owl watched saying no
more..' after a while Dumpty ventured to ask after the cat, 'how has he been?' he asked.
Well you have been gone 5 days till now, replied the owl.. 'I...

The Pompous Poet
I thought my poem sedulous,
instead it turned out nebulous,
all who read, incredulous,
merit at best tenuous.

Its origin endogenous,
meter, rhyme preposterous,
spurious, anomalous,
muse morosely arduous.

Striving for poetical,
its words turned out pathetical,
useless and nonsensical,
amusement for the skeptical.

Might someone who’s methodical,
and skilled lexicographical,
allay its monotonical?
Odds against are astronomical....

When the Child Goes
He is my mirror,
Just what I wanted him to be!
His smile spreads permeating delight.
His storge love is my strength.
My achievement, my smile, my pride!
My upright and infallible child!
His prates, sanguinity, dreams and ambitions,
Are treasures of my life!
He is a wizard who ignites the...

Worth Noting
5/9/22

Let me change my toning
Skills mastered and others still honing
I am not droning
People to this day passed away from a stoning
Continually condoning
With no cease to cloning
It's become often and corroding
Occasionally exploding
All the while a struggle to break through the coding
Something worth noting
It's harmful not beneficial,...

Forever Forgive Me
Forever forgive me
For my one and only iniquity
Please forgive me
With forbearance eternally

Lots of anger and lust
Got a hold of me…
So, I must...oh, I must…
Set my soul free

Forever forgive me
Determine my footsteps to the light
Emotionally unhappy
Intervene in my life with utter delight

Acknowledge me please for trying...

Premium Member When the Sun Bids Goodbye
Sometimes when the sun
Hovering on the horizon in the eventide
On a cold, windy winter day
Is bidding goodbye at the close of day

I watch it almost wistfully
Wishing it would linger much longer
Oh, the beautifully bright glow
And the glory of it, I truly treasure

What could be...

Premium Member Middle March Madness
March middles and meanders
while munching on mild marigolds and
meekly mumbling melancholy meanings
about the miserable maladies of
migraines from mostly grasses and pollens.

Meanwhile, mealy mouthed moguls
make monotone messages about
monopolies while meandering
around the metropolis, moving
morosely like mundane mensches.

Maybe a masseuse with a
mustard mustache could
manipulate and mop up...

We Slum Dwellers
We slum dwellers strive through arduous thistles of hardship
We tough it out through the mere adroitness of apprenticeship
We writhe morosely, carrying the world over our shoulders
But we tussle toughly the travails like soldiers
We're the slaves that bolster the aplomb of the upper crust
The hapless mendicants...

A Kiss On My Laps
My little phone touch gave brightness
As I saw moving shadows on the dark blue walls.
As quiet as a mouse,
I stared at my imaginary motley collection of furniture and painting.
         I could hear footsteps slowly...

Costuming Halloween

Masque my visage fast!
…So my eyes bulge out, drunken red, and give me
purpled, hairy lips and cheeks to complete
My bloodcurdling look — Yikes!
So scary…Not sweet!
So chilling that Halloween’s
Gross memories of seeing me will not be beat!

Then, when I...

Pitched Upon Threshold of Prepubescent Suicide
Emotional sequestration perseverates
     across thine time warped
     weft wise wold,
sans interpersonal stagnation

     flourishes as oft twice told
tale a boat amidst derelict hollowed
     moldering scull - sacrificed stranglehold
did potential..., now...

Where Nobody Knows Your Name
I crossed from Boston Common to the pub
on Beacon Street. A barstool, banter, beers
awaited me, for I was bound for "Cheers",
the suds-and-suckers landmark of The Hub.

But this was not remotely as I'd hoped.
So small and squat and square, and antiseptic!...

When Will Murderous Sprees End
WHEN WILL MURDEROUS SPREES END???

An unprovoked angry, bloody,
     and deadly war zone
     on an unprovoked whim
dispassionately, indiscriminately,
     and nonchalantly killing twelve
     innocent people
     with vigorous...

Miserable Landscape
Miserable Landscape
The scene I knew as child was undulating flat
and the ocean of straw that mirrored the sky, light
and dark, punctuated by islets of farms peopled by
folks who lived a life of conformity when not driving
to a town that sold booze and...

Cupid Sets Hearts On Fire
Every February fourteenth,
(reference Gregorian Calendar see
High Middle Ages his Saints' Day)
which combs thee
day after morrow aye decree

Tweedledum and Tweedledee
mine near one and same
mean mein near best buddy
donning Harris tweed plus sundry
other manifold couture to express free

expression like... once upon time
innocently naive barenaked lady
Chatterley young hippy...
