When the Sun Bids Goodbye
Sometimes when the sun Hovering on the horizon in the eventide On a cold, windy winter day Is bidding goodbye at the close of day I watch it almost wistfully Wishing it would linger much longer Oh, the beautifully bright glow And the glory of it, I truly treasure What could be more magnificent? A molecule of melancholy hangs high In the frigid air as I watch the setting sun Slowly and steadily sink into the sea I watch it drowning, and I wish it would Grow arms and safely swim out to shore, to me Is it so wrong to wish it stays through a cold night To bless me with a wealth of warmth?
