Premium Member The Dream
It was something
that brought a smile
to my face.

It had unusual underpinnings
with desirable overtones,
a pleasurable experience

as I wandered aimlessly
through concoctions Neanderthal
perpetuations ministered aloft

in dreams drearily
bound by time, space
glittery amidst synchronizing

to a land of make-believe
where all desires
could be fulfilled

it tantalized senses
drifting through subconscious
perplexity illuminating

dismal repercussions stifled
by cold...

Shaken But Not Broken
FROM THE MOMENT THAT SHE MET HIM
SHE WAS AWESTRUCK!!!
HE HAD THE WORDS, HE HAD THE CLOTHES, HE HAD THE LOOK
HE HAD THIS SMOOTH, UNCANNY WAY
THAT EASED HIM RIGHT THROUGH HER DEFENSES
THAT LEFT HER DANGLING, HELPLESS...FROM HIS HOOK
SHE WAS A...

THIS MAN CALLED JESUS - 3

He left His home in glory
And came as a babe to earth
Born in the town of Bethlehem
To a mother of virgin birth

He worked as the son of a carpenter
Till He reached His thirtieth year
Then ministered with twelve chosen men
Performing miracles...

Premium Member The Old Country Church
Wending my way down a country road in my air-conditioned car,
In yon vale a weathered church steeple beckoned me from afar.
'Twas Sunday morning and the clarion peal of its bell caught my ear.
There stood a simple House of God with a graveyard in the rear.

My...

The Wounded Bird

It was from the roadside,
All crushed with battered wing,
That they retrieved that injured bird
Which could no longer sing.
All limp without a spark of life
No brightness in her eye,
The very life light drained away
They feared that she would...

YOUR KISS FROM HEAVEN

You sent Your kiss from heaven
He was your only begotten Son
We call Him the Messiah
He is the only one

He ministered to the multitudes
Healing the sick and raising the dead
Religious leaders developed an attitude
Crucify Him, they said

On Calvary's hill outside the city
They cruelly...

What Can I Say
What can I say?...
A poem... Some words... more than statements I desire
Like a longing of something you don't even know
Having a feeling of hunger but not for what is not food
The feeling of young lovers saying a goodbye they never meant to bid.
...

Be Very Careful To Make a Woman Cry
Women are created in the image of God just as men are
Females are seen by Jesus as genuine persons
Not simply as the objects of male desire
Every family has disagreements, conflicts
Some men treat her with bitterness and uncontrolled anger,
They quarrel with her,...

Betrayed

There is no greater shock when you discover
one whom you trusted has stabbed you secretly in the back,
no not necessarily with a physical blade
but the pain of it is just as real even though your blood it did lack.

Have you ever felt that cold blade...

Behold the Lamb
Behold The Lamb

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Jn 1:29 NIV

Behold the Lamb of God
Which takes away all sin
So that a world full of souls
Has a chance...

A Good Night's Sleep
When King David was old they covered him in clothes, but he got no heat,
So they sought for him a pretty girl who was innocent and sweet.

Let her stand before you lord and in your bosom nestle,
We think that it might warm you up if...

Premium Member Defining My Name
"With songs of sweetest praise",
I'm singing of God's grace,
that's what I'm 'called' to do;
He's been gracious enough
in this life that's been tough,
and giv'n me strength anew.

In the Bible, she's known
for her services own
to Jesus Christ, her Lord;
And after He was slain,
of His...

By Chance
A gardener, I became by chance
a purposeful man with detailed plans
With a thought for each exigency
and a strategy for each contingency

I organized and theorized
I categorized, I normalized
I estimated and resized
and finally, I stabilized

I did this from a calm perspective
all done with the express...
