Premium Member Silence of the Waves

Mirabelle orb ascends,
under clementine and pomegranate skies.

Absent,
in delight of daylight.
Eyes set adrift in dawning daydreams.

Calm heart is an oceanic concerto,
flowing along sapphire tones.
Deep breaths walk upon water,
caressed by Poseidon's piano keys.
Pulsating palpitations beat eloquent echoes,
rousing freely along rhythmical ripples.

Searching for symphonic serenity -
composition of waves, amicably,
pave a path towards destiny.

Hope vibrates like Apollos's lyre and lute strings,
as winds whistle lost tunes from Athena's flute.
Melodies of the silent sea summon torpid tides,
as desire merges in harmony with the harbour -
passionately embracing barren shores.

Aroma of dusk's dew cools in night's velvet sheen,
as sinking sun is submerged into the deep blue sea.
Sprinkling of pearls appear - their reflection
shimmering upon watery midnight blue stillness.

In silent clarity of blackness,
flowing footfalls of fate purify -
awakening mind from its reverie.

The Silent One
6 September 2020

Mirabelle - a plum, also known as mirabelle prune or cherry plum, is a cultivar group of plum trees of the genus Prunus. It is believed that the plum was cultivated from a wild fruit grown in Anatolia.

Poseidon, in ancient Greek religion, god of the sea (and of water generally), earthquakes, and horses.

Apollo has been recognized as a god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, and more. His two musical instruments were the lute and the lyre.

Athena was a talented flute player, as she created it, but others ridiculed her when she played due to her cheeks. In disgust, she threw away the flute and said whoever picked it up and played it would be severely punished.

Premium Member A Knee-Jerk Reaction

An outpouring of happiness,
love surges up from the heart
and splashes against the soul:
an emotion, exclusive to humans.

More than a ubiquitous word:
love is an overwhelming feeling of elation
that burns in your heart,
and merges with your soul;
defying logic and reason.

The human heart entertains a multitude
of inexplicable innate feelings,
that fuel hopes and expectations.
Love is such a feeling:
both ethereal and physical,
it defines humanity.

A heart imbued with love will forgive:
what a prideful heart will not.
For love's a knee-jerk reaction
that requires no thought.

Love can bring excruciating pain,
or a euphoric adrenaline rush:
either way, it will not be ignored
nor ever fade away.

Premium Member Aspiring Love Blossoms

Smiling mirthfully, relishing amber twilit theme,
Bedazzled in musings, reveling memories agleam,
Oh! how you charm, gazing eve’s blushing arc,
Where scarlet hues delight, igniting love spark
When impulses, moonlit, passions playful cajole
As we stroll daydreaming trekking verdant knoll,
Ambling in romance, two sensuous souls extol;

Just after the setting sun merges with the sea
And sky above stages a concert of stellar glee
When seductive vibes on wings of zest spree
Questing for, stealthily, doting hearts’ consent
Chasing exaltation, love-struck hints augment,
Exuding scent amatory from emboldened heart
Intoxicating affection smitten feelings impart;

Clasping amorous moment together we found,
Where tick of blazing hearts is the only sound
But for the clues tiptoeing, arousing carnal bliss,
Pinging fervent longings yearning endearing kiss,
Enchanting intentions of eager, flirtatious night
Courting your approval, ecstatic reveries ignite,
Sowing dreams euphoric to bloom in fertile dawn
Aspiring love evermore, blossoming on and on.

Premium Member Love Is of Time

Because love is of time,
woven in the fabric where lovers dwell.
It measures caresses like floating wings of butterflies
and turns its clock hands with each melding kiss.
Bound by slow movement of vanishing night,
when the moon is full and mouths dance across the skin.
Time chains lovers to its moors,
anchored until the coming storm.
When flesh merges with flesh, moved by passion,
driven by hunger, searching for a sanctuary.
As each chain is torn, a veil drops,
revealing captured fires that burn within.
Exposing a vulnerable heart, with all its scars, caught.
Leaving a flickering shadow, where lovers once lay,
exploring their dreams.
Before being washed away by time's moving sand,
that forever dwindles away.

Premium Member Beauty of This Creation

Beauty of this creation

A glow of Indian yellow peeks through the tall gray trees
All scattered on the hill, colored white with recent fallen snow
The sun lowers, leaving clouds tinted gray with lightened edges
Floating in the blue to see, before darkness settles in and temperatures drop
It is a cold December evening approaching, while pastel views brighten pink
A day filled with quality time merges with a night pending full of rest
Until we waken again, to the beauty of this creation waiting for us
	         - To look, remember and cherish -

Ethereal Lanterns

The sparkling spirit of your love,
merges with mine,
dwelling in passages of time, as
my heart sings symphonies of
ethereal lanterns,
beaming upon golden poppies,
while drifting across haloes of
glittering stardust.

Our divine souls flutter full circle,
when light meets dark;
a sacred union amidst
cherry blossom petals,
swirling in a helix of
devoted scintillation,
towards the sanctuary of
our blooming dedication.

This faith in you
is my heavenly glow,
a paradise of hopes and dreams,
swaying to your deific verve—
the gilded moon my spotlight, as
celestial lullabies serenade
this blissful twilight,
sheltered in your cherubic love.

Blood of Birth

The secret she holds imperatively,
Locked inside cracked and bleeding lips.
Around her neck lies the skeleton key,
Awaiting the woman's seeking fingertips.
A Pandora 's box filled with sin,
Rests within her still beating heart.
Only a sentence is contained within,
'The world as we know to be torn apart.'
Animal rises by the bell's hollowed toll,
Dusk of desire to engulf and originate.
Restlessness becomes lack of control,
Energy merges and to the night she consecrates.
A cry, a sorrow; all of her distanced soul,
She builds her walls with stone and earth.
When broken, anger unable to be consoled,
Tormented by the blood of her birth.

All of Her Grandeur

Into the heartbeat of the blue sea of crystal paragon
Never calm, but constantly moving, ripples, hoary froth
Truly mysterious in its grandeur surpass attraction
Obedient to unimaginable fathoms depth

Never calm, but constantly moving, ripples, hoary froth
Unforeseen untamable freedom that exquisite sweetness
Obedient to unimaginable fathoms depth
Thirsty for the endearment of helpless sandy shores

Unforeseen untamable freedom that exquisite sweetness
Her heavenly breast with luscious relaxing sounds
Thirsty for the endearment of helpless sandy shores
Endless cool breeze scent of briny seaweed drifts off the waves

Her heavenly breast with luscious relaxing sounds
Blue sea merges into the rising blue heavens
Endless cool breeze scent of briny seaweed drifts off the waves
Under the shadow of the drifting shapeless clouds

Blue sea merges into the rising blue heavens
Liquescent sunset closes day with inviting twilight
Under the shadow of the drifting shapeless clouds
Effortlessly dissolving view completing dark blue night

Liquescent sunset closes day with inviting twilight
Truly mysterious in its grandeur surpass attraction
Effortlessly dissolving view completing dark blue night
Into the heartbeat of the blue sea of crystal paragon

Words he formed.
  Shells, pebbles, sorted by color
    Straight grey lines
      Curved watery blue
        Rosy dots
          Sand dollar phrases
drifting, floating, resting on the shore
                  Gathered decorative patterns
               garland and seaweed
      Expressed feelings
       hand dug gully around
        his small world filled with
         salty water
                     And he lay down
                   safely on his island
                 Awaiting the surf, the tide,
               pure white ripples of hope
             to wash away the pain
Words he formed
   with his fingers
      folding air around
         simmering sun
            finally realizing
               his thoughts had meaning
                  as nary a cloudy day
                     could be seen since…
                                         He sent out his heart
                                        It flew for him
                                       Sent out his soul, surfing
                                      in rhythmic coastal stanzas
                                     lapping a lazy shore
                                    measuring the distance
                                   beyond a vertical eclipse
                                  where water meets air
and the sky merges with his dreams
         With eyes closed

Premium Member Unbearable Thirst

At sunrise newlyweds wandered from camp
hiking into unfamiliar terrain.
And now they have to spend the night in the
desert despite their unbearable thirst.

The sweltering heat of the day lingers
as the sun sets just behind the mountains.
And darkness merges with inky shadows
pooling deep within the cooler crevices.

They dosed off to the mumbled whisperings
of windblown sands rippling across the dunes.
And though their canteen was nearly empty
there had to be water somewhere out there.

Her husband asleep she filled his canteen
and took the empty one to find water.
And although she swore no tears, they still came
not for her but for the man left behind.

Wakened by the searing kiss of the sun
he realized the selfless thing she’d done.
And though he looked for her she was long gone
so he followed her tenuous footsteps.

He found her collapsed, exhausted and near death
and they shared the few drops of water left.
Yet in the midst of death's dusty embrace
angels in helicopters rescued them.

Premium Member He Fears the Bogeyman

Love's light beams from the hearts and souls of Man
but His insecurities shade its glow.
And in shadows, hate and bigotry grow;
though Man's conscience interjects when it can.
But, like a child, He fears the bogeyman;
facing repercussions, He lets hope go.
Scared of storms, He revels in the rainbow;
convincing Himself that it is God's plan.

Evil overshadows the light of good;
anonymity merges with the dark.
And accepting truths, tethered to rumors,
we mesh with the system as robots would.
Yet, the love in Man needs only a spark,
to exorcise fear's cancerous tumors.

Touch

I desire to
measure your skin
slowly with my fingers
to gently brush your arm
blending our colors together
white and black
to touch you
just to capture your attention
to hear you whisper
please, come closer...

I wish to share sleep with you
wrapping my dreams around you
taking us to a world
that requires no apologies
for a deep intimate bond
and uninhibited imagination
becomes more torture than virtue
as our past and future merges
choking our air
with trembling tears of joy...

I want you
memorizing you
deep in my blood
in my skeletal bones
within my skin
I see you in my eyes
when I gaze into the mirror
I dream you into reality
I am only half a soul
without you now...

I am now lost in the days
in thoughts of marriage
and we choose
our means of touch
putting geography behind us
removing the blinders
and embracing our touch
that is temporarily denied us...

Strawberry Love

I am looking blindly into the fridge
Searching and savouring the chilled air, I reach in
Take hold of a strawberry and hand it to you.
Its body, fresh and pure can relax in your palm.
You are the keeper of my heart.

Its many eyes, black seeds that rest around
The waist, sleep in cycles, stare out into the darkness.
It remains on your flesh, Merges like a collage with the twists and bends.
As time passes, its chill dwindles. Harsh heat invades the creases.
Its natural form bleeds away in a sticky juice.

Magic Moonbeams

On a perfect day in April as the Moon begins to rise
Past the echoes of the sunbeams that still tumble from your eyes
I am swallowed by the feeling that the World belongs to you
And each time you say you love me there is more I need to do

As the gold of sunset merges with the indigo of night
While the stars awake in splashes of their own eternal light
I can feel your gentle breathing as your arms are round my chest
Holding me inside a prison under permanent arrest

As your fingers find their target and your lips begin to part
I am lost beyond rememb'ring in the beating of my heart
When you first said that you loved me there was such a Moon as this
And she brushed the sky with silver as you won me with your kiss

When you made your first surrender to the slightest of commands
And I learned the way you blossom as I feed you with demands
There were moonbeams filled with magic casting spells you must obey
And you swore you were my servant on the most momentous day

Now we're locked within the compass of the bright revolving spheres
I am yours each way you want me through the passing of the years
And the stars are now exploding into diamonds overhead
As I lead my bright-eyed lover from the garden into bed

If no signal fires a mental wasteland blazing passion,
Angelic vibes are only found through third-eye action

You'll feel less discomfort if you're into the ideal aura
Life is not naughtiness, disdain, nihilism, or oxymora

Be selfish, but invest your life in an act that can last
Before ceding to entropy, face qualms and hit aghast

Freedom is to be oneself without asking permission
Be caring and vest a mark—even if it faces suspicion

You are not bound by this body, intellect, or reality
You are unimpeded mental alertness and eternity

Prayer opens the third eye and links one to space
The spine-full mind travels across key psych places

These nodes agape consciousness to cosmic awareness
Divine corridors—yet eons of vacuity obscure fairness

Vipassana is being mindful of this staple life reality
Spirituality aligns, awakens, and merges life's vitality

Assume your previous assumptions proved correct
You learn you agnize less than you thread, in effect

With a third eye wide agaze, one can peer at foresight
When the truth appears, you will find out the real sight

Clear thinking requires the transcendence of cognition,
With a clear mind, hearing, and insight, reach fruition

After profound interior changes, you saw an upheaval,
Lucid dreams disclose our unconscious facts retrieval

Living with other-dimensional groups implies sharing
Your or other people's vitality isn't optimal or bearing

Wildflowers in the desert can survive without water,
They delve deep and trust that the rains will never falter

Altering makes us dance, as our hearts are dazing
This is a path to caring, inner sight, and stargazing.
