I missed a blind corner one grim stormy night,
On a dark forest road, with no phone.
The crash was severe, but what gave me more fright
Was I had to walk out all alone.
A mile, maybe two, and there loomed into view
An imposing stone manor, quite old.
I felt somewhat spooked, but I guessed it would do
For relief from the drizzle and cold.
Despite my loud knocking I heard no reply,
Though some embers from somewhere glowed red.
The door opened wide when I gave it a try,
And its groan somehow filled me with dread.
I crept toward the flickering warmth where I found
A mere wisp of a man in a chair,
So pale in appearance he hardly seemed sound—
Like a shadow that’s only half-there.
I saw he was napping and hadn’t a clue,
So decided to give him a tap,
But to my amazement, my fingers went through
His left arm and right down to his lap!
I gasped in sheer horror and rushed out the door,
Though I never before had believed
In spirits or hauntings or vampiric lore,
So I wondered if I’d been deceived.
This mystery troubled me long years ago,
But I now understand it: you see,
That car wreck I mentioned was fatal, and so...
The ghost wasn’t him; it was me.

I am praying for the day,
When all walls will fall away,
And we as sons and daughters,
Will all truly obey.
The commandment to love one another,
Is the great and first commission.
To love God with all our hearts,
Might, mind and strength, our mission.
This is the celestial law abiding,
With no lies or self-deceit in the way.
There must be no inner hiding,
And for all this we must pray.
We all require our one true King.
Only He can sustain and set free,
But to be in his kingdom,
Each one must be at peace.
In this we must have no borders,
No place we cannot go,
For a King to reign in heaven,
There must be every room to grow.
There will be no manner of -ites,
No one will be excluded from their rights.
Each one loved as all are one,
Every moment blessed with pure divine.
Here in these last days, this is our destination,
For as Christ is to come, we are to receive Him.
No one will abide the day, unless we are all together,
In one body, one faith, under one head, forever.

What manner of man is this, they asked,
Whom even the winds obey?
He speaks and calms the angry seas,
Yet He's humbler far than they.
To hear Him speak come thousands,
This man so meek and mild,
And yet throughout His busy life,
He still had time for a child.
They come to Him from miles around,
The sick, the lame, the blind,
And in one day He makes them whole,
Not even a scar could they find.
You've lived and supped with Me, He said,
Together we have slept;
And lo in spite of all I've done,
You don't know Me yet.

–What Manner of Love Does-Spanish Verse
¿QUÉ MANERA DE AMOR?¿Qué tipo de amor es?
Es esto..
¿Nos ha dado el Padre a nosotros?
Que debemos ser los Hijos de Dios;
Semejante al venado y al forastero;
No recordando nada más que tu
nacimiento y luego la muerte, en tu último aliento;
Dios es amor y ama a sus hijos;
Que clase de amor es El Padre nos otorgó, todo esto nos lo ha dado; Ama y somos sus hijos, su hijo Jesús murió por nosotros;
Esta es la manera de lo que hace el amor;
Siempre debemos creer en un regocijo y quién es esa persona en quien debemos confiar;
Dios el Padre y su Hijo Jesús;
Esta es la forma de amor ...
Qué forma de amor hace;

Are you a poet, as some folks say,
who can with your words, portray
emotions that can make a reader cry?
Are you a poet, as some folks believe,
who can with your words, have us grieve,
for a friend who has said Goodbye?
Are you a poet, whose words can paint
a picture that allows us, without restraint,
to reminisce on times gone by?
Are you a poet, who waxes lyrical,
to lampoon lovers, with words satirical,
that adds further angst, to their every sigh?
Are you a poet with loquacious bent,
that can change another’s sworn intent,
to ignore every need or heartfelt cry?
Are you a poet, whose capricious phrase,
triggers laughter that brightens our days,
with humour therein, few can deny?
Are you a poet, whose words can excite,
a patriotic reader to take up the fight
and answer the call of your rallying cry?
Or are you a poet, whose words mundane,
do naught but constantly echo a broken refrain,
that excites an anguished reader to cry - But why?

An evil word casually dangling
A lie for a lie that more and more dashed the expectations
When belief and rely are questioned
When the wait became so tiring
When honesty is faint from the circulations of hope
When a release is a lawful way to step
What happened to the quietness of stage?
What happened to the boisterous voice which echoed in every corner of this head?
What had happened?
What was it?
What are you or am I looking for??
The reflection of an empty soul ...
A lost from the sheath of privacy...
A quest which ended in absence ...
And the absence will be the theme of this story ...

Your actions describe you,
Your behavior defines you,
Your speech stereotypes you,
By these, people judge you.
Think twice before acting,
Be wise on behaving,
Be true on speaking,
By these, people will continue believing.
Act normally,
Behave nicely,
Speak Godly,
By these, people around you will become lovely.
Mind your manner.
Mind on how it will be perceived by others,
By these, you will live with people happily ever after,
Because it really matters.

April fools' day - (ordinarily) all manner of tomfoolery abounds
Pandemic straps tightly plied girded beltway
unlike any other All fools day
in annals of recorded ("fake") history
western civilization tapestry doth fray
April first two thousand and twenty
neigh, no time for horseplay
what with coronavirus (COVID-19)
boarded ship of jilted fools
(think *****sapiens)
barred courtesy omnipotent jackstay
furloughed workers analogous
grumpy minions lay
dwarfed by unfortunate global events, née...
germinating, jackknifing, and wreaking havoc
Mother Earth nonchalantly toying
(indiscriminately) regarding humanity
as bestrewing bajillion biohazards berserkly
bequeathing bedlam child's play
just desserts, she doth understandably repay
man/womankind flicked as flotsam and jetsam
vile treatment diabolically heaped,
jubilantly loosed, maniacally pitched
upon her terrestrial firma oy vey
she chokes, gags, laughs raspily yea
rebuffs, refuses, and renounces further abuse.
Nevertheless toothless gumption, albeit feeble
fighting spirit, her survival instincts assail
cumulative environmental destruction
triggered casus belli expelling deadly toxins,
when Gaia doth exhale
since onset of global interregnum
(think virulent spreading poisonous Kudzu
like wildfire biohazard)
since world wide webbed disease
brought grinding halt
consumerist paradigm in lockdown,
nonetheless within brief interim
noticeable clearer air to inhale
amazingly enough postal system...
intact voila... uninterrupted delivery of mail,
the daily highlight experienced
among people emotionally crippled
pasty faced and pale
finds quivering captain Kangaroo
plus good n plenti proud primates
each quivering like a captive quail.

In a manner of speaking nonsense is the name
Of the wisdom you preach with thy clipped tongue
Your rusting roots where never planted,
In the prophets philosophy
As
Peace, Peace,
Peace endlessly departs your lips
Yet it has never descended,
Or embraced a soil
Embraced by wars dagger
In a manner of speaking you’re not a man,
Lesser TO of a man, she whispered to your fist
As her will scattered
Never to reunite or reminisce
The 4 letters of her once glorious

April fools' day - ordinarily all manner of tomfoolery abounds
Written/updated since last year
unlike any other
when out of this world
outlandish accouterments
people did wear
hermetically sealed
of even faintest tear
to avoid contamination

when wing and prayer
soul saving amazing grace
frankly against scalpers, marauders,
and fraudsters steeling
themselves to profiteer.

–What Manner of Love Does- QUELLE MANIÈRE D'AMOUR FAIT— French Verse
Liken au cerf et à l'étranger;
dans votre dernier souffle;
Dieu est amour et il aime ses enfants;
Quelle sorte d'amour est Le Père nous a accordé tout ce qu’il nous a donné;
Amour et nous sommes ses enfants, son fils Jésus est mort pour nous;
Dieu est la réponse à tout amour et Nous devons toujours croire en une joie et qui est cette personne à qui nous devons faire confiance; Dieu le père et son fils Jésus;
C'est ce que l'amour est…
Quelle sorte d'amour fait;
