Best Jonas Poems
Paris idol,
Count of Monte Cristo square,
An angle,
Some graffiti red and purple,
At the last moment I paint:
Phantoms of vampires,
Sarcophagus in pyramid glass,
Portraits in the Louvre castle,
Milady dame,
I'm no longer a donor for this alien dragon,
Abel's blood cries,
This cry goes to the sky,
Two angels,
Lot's house,
Rue du Bac,
Chapel of the Miraculous Medal,
The night,
Notre-Dame in flames,
Fire has the form of the cathedral,
Above this country hexagonal,
Mont Saint Michel like a continent in contrast,
Yellow before blue light, cyan,
Here I'm condemned in orange,
"If they do it when the wood is green, what will happen when it's dry?!",
"Weep for yourselves and for your child",
The natural rainbow appears just now,
To require the blood from beast Cain,
That city full of formal and informal crimes,
Stones of Herod's Temple,
I build my Defense
By the Lamb and Lion,
Like precursor and forerunner Ivanhoe knight,
Too - the count by Mother Immaculate,
Lofty line of Bethlehem star,
On signature of Jonas' sign,
They disregard in vain,
In malignant blindness,
Even she, Lot's wife —
Open eyes shut —
Look at the sanhedrin of Caiaphas,
cardinal maniac Illuminati over time,
Death cap, warning,
A destroying angel over this town,
Amanita all in glossy pale,
Grow worse toward nuclear weapon,
Never to taste,
Chain reaction inside,
Dark hole, femme fatale eats all dwarfs,
Equals in bad,
Like Napoleon Bonaparte at the battle of Berezina,
Bullying fate in dance macabre,
Olympic gold medal for Salome and Herodias,
The gymnast from the exterior courtyard,
Without oil and vine,
In vain asking water from this market named "The Ladies' Delight",
Say my lighthouse on this very toxic planet, going to collapse,
Jean Valjean on Champ de Mars,
In my hand some flagrant clouds,
In flight.
A young man named Jonas stood at the doors
Of the house that had haunted his dreams
As behind the ornate, hand-carved oak
Its interior was not all it seemed
People entered the doors, then disappeared
It was the last of them anyone would see
So Jonas had made it his mission in life
To put an end to its mystery
Jonas passed through the doors and as he did
The doors locked – he had no way out
He took a deep breath, to calm his nerves
Then he started to look about
He was standing in a square hallway
With a map of the house at one end
A door stood each side, marked ‘IN’ and ‘OUT’
Written above ‘IN’ was a legend
‘Beware all mortals who enter this place
Solve Metis’s riddles or fear you will face’
He wondered what the legend meant
Faltering on going through the door
And what had happened to all the souls
Who had walked through this portal before?
Jonas opened the door, and entered a room
The door then vanished from view
As there was no obvious other way out,
He stopped to think for a moment or too
As he thought, he took in his surroundings
The room was panelled in wood as before
With a large chandelier, providing the light
That shone on a plinth, in the centre of the floor
Seated on the plinth was a creature
That filled Jonas’s bones with dread
Half man, half beast with a bullish face
And which, though seated, towered over his head
With wizened finger, it beckoned to Jonas
And with powerful voice began to speak
“Who dares enter Metis’s House of Fear
And what is it that you seek?”
“Shades of Blue, Daily Devotions”
shades of blue
safe harbour
waves lap across
our hearts
we leave the safety
of comfort
out into the
unexplored,
Life, how far
can we go,
minds lift
anchors
shades of blue
deep waters
wash over
those treading
water
walking across
the backs of
sympathetique
sharks
hungry for the
gentle wisdom
of whales
in their hearts
blue sky Jonas
in their eyes
shades of blue
safe harbour
waves lap across
our hearts we
leave the safety
of comfort
out into the
unexplored,
Life, how far
can we go,
minds lift
anchors
in us, an
Ocean,
the colours -
Sky’s
reflection,
storms and tides
forever constant
changing inside us
thunder in our hearts and minds
lightning fire, rain and sunshine
steering small drops
in such a large Ocean
safe harbour
waves lap across
our hearts we
leave the safety
of comfort
out into the
unexplored,
Life,
how far
can we go,
minds lift
anchors
destiny is
unfurling its billowing
daily devotions
steering us there
the Fates, reel us in
we chart the bright morning star
angels or albatross
destiny is
unfurling its billowing
daily devotions

Hate
Hate, hate, Hate
It all goes with my fate
I try to conceal it
But it starts to eat me inside
Hate is the nasty, big black color
I picture it as a burned flower
Searching for colorful things
But it just can't find the world around it
I try to eat hate
Man! It's as hard as biltong
It tastes like chewing sand
That makes me irritated!
Hate is the wild monster
Invading every red heart
Draining every blood it had
Pouring ashes onto the heart
hate smells like rotten meat
whenever a dog pass by;
It stops to smell the horrible aroma
Quickly the dog hurries away
hate is the sound of mucus
spitted on the floor, “Spurt!”
It disgusts everyone
Yuck! It makes me vomit
Hate bullies me
It forces me to be negative
with its gigantic red eyes
It frightens me
Hate refuses to have companions
To have friendly faces
Even smiles and laughter is not permitted
hate is a disastrous idol!
Hate you are nothing
But trash to anything you ever invaded
so unlock my heart
And leave me in peace

Some Egyptian drawings are said to depict polio victims;
This disease has been in existence for most of history.
Polio became an epidemic as early as eighteen eighty,
But yet unnamed and cause unknown it was big mystery.
By the nineteen thirties this disease was rampant in America.
Its cause, the poliovirus was discovered in nineteen hundred eight.
Commonly called infantile paralysis as it attacked children,
With no cure yet it was crippling and killing at a dreadful rate.
Polio attacked my brother in nineteen Hundred and thirty.
Our family was quarantined for many a weary week.
None of the rest of us got it and quarantine was lifted.
My folks went from doctor to doctor, non-existent cure to seek.
He was left with weakened system and slightly shorter leg
But not as crippled as were many others that we knew.
Meetings were held in churches and homes to pray for cure.
Jonas Salk developed vaccine in Nineteen Hundred Fifty Two.
Improvements have been made to make the vaccine safe.
Children are vaccinated against the disease at early ages.
This cure was so needed, so longed for and avidly sought
Its discovery made headlines on newspapers’ front pages.

Olivia, or Livvy, is a Sky Academy Sports Scholar,
Competes in sprint T38 and long jump events F38.
She was born in Guildford, England, to a mother,
Who is Welsh and to a father who is of Irish state.
Born with Cerebral Palsy, Livvy raced at school,
In her primary years and she’s experienced

At the Diamond League meets; she’s referenced.
She is coached by Jonas-Tawiah Doddo tough,
And Julie Hollman, and at the London Paralympics,
She won bronze in the 4x100m womens relay rough,
Doing very well in the 100m and in the 200m antics.
That same year and Holland, the Stadkanaal’s locale.
Livvy travelled to these IPC European Championships,
Where she procured the honour of the bronze medal,
Twice over, in the 100m and the 200 metre battleships.
Her mother’s country, Wales, in Swansea in 2014,
Livvy won at these Europeans a bronze and a silver,
In the 100m T38, and then in the 100m T35-38 gene,
Storming to victory like a train needing to deliver.
Then in 2015 in Qatar at the World Champs in Doha,
She won the gold with three team mates in the relay,
In the 4x100m they did pound with speed and power,
‘Cos Livvy had Di Dougherty as her mentor to sleigh.
2016, and the Grosseto Europeans happened in Italy,
And Livvy won a gold medal to boast about back home.
Then in Rio she came 7th in the 100m sprint, her tally,
But she was removed from the relay so she did moan.

This is turning into a diary of a slow death I had another fall
I was taking picture of some Interpretable bushes where I was
sure I had seen an animal, not unlike the Tasmanian tiger.
I did not see the hollow up to my waste in plant roots beginning
to strangle me like a nest of hungry squeezing snakes.
I knew of a man who had an anaconda in his basement and once
a week it gave the snake a sheep carcass, but then he had to stay
in the hospital for three weeks, being an animal lover, he checked on
his monster that mistook him for a sheep carcass strangled and
swallowed him shoes and all, weeks past, where is Jonas when they
broke into his house they found a hungry snake, and that was all.
Regarding the roots I cut myself loose with my knife which I always
when falling into a hole and have rabbits snarling at me and black
crows are cackling with glee.
It was a quarter past one in the morning
as the echoes of last night quickly went calling
My bedroom window is open for a crack
SUDDENLY!!
I felt something crawl up my back
It was a creature of the night looking for a pinch
to drain my body of blood, for him..it was a cinch
Mr.Dracula was looking for a vain
to satisfy the lust before daylight comes out again
Unable to move
nore blink both my eye
Transylvanians have this need to make the victim die
His teeth was razor sharp but the breath needed Dentine
However,I was surely paralyzed,these arms couldn't do a thing
He began to suck
my life's time ran out of luck
Now I am ONE of many devoted LEGION
Watch out for Mr.Bart Jonas, before he wings his way toward your region
Harry Potter book on lap
Laughing with friends in pool
Ashley at twelve is all that
Perceptive, aloof and cool
Second concert Allstar Weekend
First was Jonas Brothers
More concerts she will attend
No doubt there will be others
Drawn to adventurous things
In books, dreams or when awake
Taking risks by exploring
Nature and camping by a lake
With animals she shares words
They actually talk back to her
Dogs, cats, horses even birds
A Dr. Doolittle she is for sure
Teachers adore her deep intellect
Friends appreciate her big heart
It is apparent to all she is in effect
Unique, special, loving and smart
A writer, yarn knitter and reader
So many gifts and hidden talents
A listener and a natural healer
She on this earth is very balanced

Dearest Sarah,
I am far away from you
with heavy heart
I'm always thinking of you
couldn't bear to watch the photo
of you and me,
giving it a kiss and embrace
I always wanted to see your face.
I'll catch a train in Spring
every second I'm remembering
the memories that we have
and the love you bring.
Dearest Jonas,
I am so overwhelmed
upon receiving your letter
I couldn't wait
to see you in Spring
the day of our wedding
the moment we say, "I do"
my love I'll give fully to you.
we will be wearing our rings
a symbol of our promise
and everlasting love
and all I could dream of.
Early morning
one Monday in Spring
Sarah, wearing the whitest of white
and the sweetest smile
sitting in her car
vividly waiting for the groom
to appear in sight
when someone approaches
breaks the news, starting her plight.
Like a child and running wild
to his hospital bed, cold
in his hand, a paper blood-stained
she reads his vow,
I promise to love you
to stay with you for the rest of my life
fill each second with happiness
and satisfaction, and a whole lot
everything a boyfriend, a lover
a husband and father can do
I'll do it for you.
White gown now red
uncontrollable, hugging him tight
her vows, trembling, sobbing she recites
but how will they ever
make their dreams come true
she dares him take her along
with him, to stay with each other
to live with their love
if not on this Earth but in the heavens above!
Herein the throes of our family's tragedy,
Herein our woeful daze, we're not the defeated
Nor victors; Simply the bearer's of tragedy.
Yes, Jonas was here; Thence we're the cheated.
Oh! Dear Brother, dear Cousin, dear Father,
Dear Friend, dear Grandson, dear Son, dear Jonas.
When rendered sullen, our strength is one another.
Let the sacred songs be your journey's compass.
For therein the sunshine of many hearts
Shall you bask, thence it love never departs.
You know my words are different, especially when they touch your heart.
I tried to rule the world, I couldn't get passed the smell of your beautiful, green, Vine-like hair.
I'm ready for your kiss of death, actually I've been ready for a while now- just like a faithful husband should be!
Or have we downgraded to just me and you?!
You left me standing there- outside in the rain.
You threw my love in the trash , but how about we give it a try one more time?
