Laughing with friends in pool
Ashley at twelve is all that
Perceptive, aloof and cool
Second concert Allstar Weekend
First was Jonas Brothers
More concerts she will attend
No doubt there will be others
Drawn to adventurous things
In books, dreams or when awake
Taking risks by exploring
Nature and camping by a lake
With animals she shares words
They actually talk back to her
Dogs, cats, horses even birds
A Dr. Doolittle she is for sure
Teachers adore her deep intellect
Friends appreciate her big heart
It is apparent to all she is in effect
Unique, special, loving and smart
A writer, yarn knitter and reader
So many gifts and hidden talents
A listener and a natural healer
She on this earth is very balanced
