Premium Member October Sun

Ascending above sanctum of horizon, a dawn inflames the effulgent rays,
Enlightening daybreak as embers of light set the scarlet morning ablaze
Projecting golden beams on hushed venues, in beatific style, not seen in a while,
Glittering on grass in vivid dewdrops, glinting ornamental autumnal smile.

Riding the path of shortened days, marigold passions eloquently evoke
Enchanting colors of resplendent meadows--sensuous vibes tenderly stoke
When traversing upon a vibrant blue-arc, solar-noon invokes seasons warm
Where cumulus clouds stroll the meridian, amid nary a sign of rainy storm.

Seeking affinity of ruby dusk, a spectrum inscribes on gilded evening skies
Iridescent emotions in colors of romance, pleasing desires of amorous eyes
As falling leaves waltz, in leisurely dance, attuned to song of sunset breeze
Descending slowly with vanishing sun, in forlorn shudders of barren trees.

In quest of wisdom supreme
Seeking truth esoteric
Beyond gravity, space, time,
Beyond senses of mankind,
In solitude, musing mind,
She invokes satori dreams
And finds zeal of nirvana
In sublime motifs of peace

Premium Member Gifts of Sky and Sea

White evanescent waves roll on the shore
     with such felicity of frothy bliss.
Rhapsodic sounds explode as they explore;
     present the waiting beach their foamy kiss.

Above, the dulcet sounds echo the call
     of gulls, neath radiant, pale sapphire skies;
plethora of white V-shaped wings asprawl,
     invokes idyllic sights that mesmerize.

As waves recede, a shell remains onshore;
     perhaps a talisman brought forth for me.
What living thing, like a cacoon, it bore,
     and now to me came from this deep, dark sea.

The sky and sea hold treasures each their own;
     but special are the gifts from depths unknown.

Premium Member Heavy Heart

Heavy heart hears,
Ink invokes ire;
Dance deeply dear,
Expose empire.
Hurl hurry's horse,
Expose empty;
Ask apt applause,
Voice vanity;
Yield yonder yes.
Hide hopeless husk,
End each express;
Air aligns ask,
Rust reaps refill;
Thrust troubles thrill.

Premium Member A Tender Heart

Her tender heart set her apart
from anyone I’d ever known,
and from the start it did impart
a gift of love so gently shown.

When first we met I'll ne'er forget
the way her heart lit up the room;
this sweet brunette whose silhouette
with curves that caused my heart to zoom.

And when she spoke my feelings woke
and something stirred within my soul;
with tender strokes her heart invokes
such longings which I can’t control.

Beyond compare her heart so fair,
I’m lifted up as dreams now soar,
and so we dare our lives to share
our hearts are one for evermore.

A Book

When a child if gifted with a book it transforms into a key to unlock the mind. The gate to the secret garden of imagination is pried from its forgiving hinges and the child is free to expand their imagination to galaxy proportions.
The simple pages of a book provide a passport for a passenger seat next to the likes of Captain Biggles in his Tibetan adventures to locate the forbidden city of Shangri Lah, or a magical flight to Neverland with Pan and the lost boys. Who knows how each “child’s mind’s eye will envisage the loathsome creature that is Mr Hyde or the demure Dr Jekyll?
It captures the heart of a parent to witness their young boy, lying on his bed, engrossed in the pages of Stevenson’s Kidnapped. His imaginings transform him into the character of David Balfour, fighting alongside the Jacobite rebel, Alan Stewart. Such a comforting vision is a young girl, lounging on the couch on a rain soaked winters afternoon, fanning through a copy of Anne of Green Gables, engrossed in the character of Anne Shirley, wishing to emulate her outgoing spirit and giving nature.
The abundant bread basket of literary expositions act as a conduit, unlocking a child’s ability to make judgements about morality, injustices and an understanding of consequences in decision making. All the while the simple act of quietly reading procures an incalculable and surreptitious response to education for a lifetime to come.
The nostalgic aroma of floral vanilla and almonds that emit from the pages of an old book invokes a sense of anticipation to the imaginary adventures about to be embarked upon, creating an atmosphere of ambivalence.
An implore to parents across the globe to leave the television set and so-called social media, bombarding a child’s mind like a tidal wave, leaving in its wake a desolate landscape of nothingness. Embrace the tactile feel of pages in hand, gently stroking the mind, embedding feelings of, wonder and imagination. Read to your children every day and encourage them to jamb their noses into literary masterpieces from the likes of Stevenson, Doyle, Dickens and many more worthy exponents that have stood the test of time.

Premium Member Aerial Dancers

As butterflies eagerly flutter into view
Our senses unfurl with alluring sights
Engaging while imparting those ornate designs

Under skies azure, they entice, delight
Igniting then occupying  thoughts upbeat
 then all senses erupt with invitations that ordain spring's ultimate, bright allure

  Yet every day invokes thoughts of sweet,
unique,  yet  amazing things
Enriching then initiating thoughts oh so upbeat

Like aerial dancers entreating with invitations that offer hope
Until they are joined eventually by insect throngs
of many unbelievable colors

As butterflies entice with invigorating dances
  outstanding movements under sun's assuring glow
Enraptured by intimate tunes of warblers
upholding melodious appealing flow

Every butterfly  imparts beauty
Only monarchs ultimately rule, adorable royalty
 Enjoy the inherent beauty of the universe

Premium Member A Little About Faith Healing

As along our long life journey we sail
We all do encounter belied expectations
Feeling of deep hurt results from betrayal
Our shrivelled heart writhing in contractions

The hurt needs healing so we go to a healer
Who examines blotches in our aura field
Looking grave is this wheeler dealer
As his magic wand he does wield

Half who visit healed, the others not
For he simply invokes the placebo effect
Opening up our mind beyond its fearful slots
The faith healer does nothing yet no one suspects

With this comic interlude over with let us examine
The root cause of our pain needing healing
We negate not potency of toxic poison
Simply look at origin of so feeling

The aspect of us hurt is our identity
Plunged into dark gloom owing to its loss
Recognising not that in world of ephemerality
Attachment to fleeting images of pain is the cause

In monk mode detached thus free from pain and sorrow
Lower mind vaporised, we abide in blissful joy
No expectations or desires for the morrow
Mind illumined we recognise ego ploys

Acceptance of others just as they are
Knowing that maya oft causes misalignment
Acts of others be as they may leaves then no scar
We empathise with one and all resting in blissful contentment

We then are our own best faith healer having faith in love divine
Offering no niche within for rancour to anchor onto our being
Knowing that in timeless time with love all souls will align
We nonchalantly breeze through life ever celebrating

The Hollow

I am the hope inside
 That feeds on tide and wind
 As ocean shores abide
 A storm's subsiding din

 I am the joy that died
 Before the world took wing
 Where cold and dark things hide
 Beneath a cheerful grin

 I am the vacant eye
 The black and gaping stare
 The vain and cunning lie
 That only truth can bear

 Where raging hearts surrender
 I drop anchor there
 As dying embers stir
 And faith invokes despair

Premium Member In the Fragility of Dreams

When roses proffer prickly thorns
And wilted flowers deliberately mock
Forlorn garden of my passions torn,

When winds of love are gusting cold
As night invokes banished woes
And horrid storm wrecks my coast
And tides turn wild to sink my boat
As heart aches in beats lovelorn,
To touch my soul, you come along.

Beautiful you’re beyond my dreams--
Brown eyes beaming bold appeal,
A dimple adorns blushing cheeks
Gleaming style of radiant smile,
Just as I had imagined you would be.

How splendorous is your royal abode!
Where rare jewels glint arched entrance
Greeting me gently into your mahal--
Imperial charm of intricate patterns
Woven in petals of heavenly fragrance.

“This is our place,” longingly you say
Hanging our portraits on walls of grace,
Mementos of desires are already there
Toasting rendezvous of love ornate.

And happily I stay there in your embrace
In the fragility of dreams utopia creates.

First there was oblivion, before emptiness began
Then everything grew from a (dot) and so forth into man
Using reverse extrapolation, large brains, and a plan
Intelligent beings worked this out, as only they can

Logic itself explains two plus two, if you do the math
Belief invokes a loving god, yet threatens words of wrath
Philosophy brings wisdom, but follows different paths
They all leave unanswered questions, and I don’t accept that

Some say why bother, ultimately we will all expire
Life doesn’t need reason, it’s a cosmic quirk we acquired
No creatures besides few humans, actually inquire
To what the fu*k is going on, driving me to great ire

Here on a rocky planet, in no mean region of space
Between infinite voids, our very own goldilocks place
Nowhere else in this universe, does life emit a trace
Two trillion galaxies of numpties, til we showed our face

What makes us so special, all beings are made of stardust
We observe novas and quanta, build weapons that use thrust
Split atoms, launch rockets, measure time, use tools to adjust
The apex of life, not out of choice, more because we must

Our task may seem absurd, whatever compels us is not
A universe seeks a god, and we’re the best eyes its got
Who else figured reality, grew from a tiny (dot)
And we will stop at nothing, to see past fate as our lot

Now we’re becoming gods, creating A.I. in the lab,
A logical next step, for robotic fingers that grab
No doubt will kill and rebel, try putting us on a slab
Exactly like we strung up Jesus, in one foul backstab

Oh who would be man, his intelligence driving us mad
Capable of loving deeds, only every bit as bad
Aberrations by design, or infused by E.T. cads
What the fu*k is going on, again what the fu*k, I add!

Premium Member Celebrating Flow of Life

Within the pause of each heartbeat within
In the void of polarity exchange
We feel love calling as bliss ignition
Spacial stillness arousing stirrings strange

Consciousness expansion invisible
Entwined with all of divine creation
Nestled in our hearts love glow spherical
Invokes each life throb in celebration

Each moment of the life flow intimate
Uninhibited embrace and release
In rippleless calm our heart yet gyrates
With eternal witness within at ease

Dynamic stillness and vibrant silence
Endearing persona of innocence

Premium Member Fullness in emptiness

Immediate and intimate
Caress divine at heaven’s gate
Erases each and every sin
Embraced in staid stillness sedate

Simple is the way to begin
First things first, just rest thought flow din
Our childlike trust invokes God’s grace
We feel then bliss beats rise within

Of wayward ego, leave no trace
And have no earthy goals to chase
Wisdom of sages is then ours
We become the vastness of space

The Spring of Separation

Wild, wild, the spring tide reaches the rivers height;
Strong, strong, the spring tide rolls on and on.
Glittering, glittering, the full moon rises into the sky bright;
Strong, strong, the moon spreads on the waves, on the plains, on the woods,
On the flowers. Sparkling, sparkling, the moonbeam is mirrored in the spring tides.

Unawares, unawares, beside the shores, the moonlight snows the sand;
The moon, when first it shone; Beside the shores, who first beheld?
Alas! The Penelope’s ten-year torture of mine! I truly understand.
You like Odysseus wander the shores as the clouds flying away.
As the moon, the course of life is on its way.

Piteous, piteous, the moonlight covers the towers
Where I climb on and groan- as we are Arcas and Callisto.
The beam merges in the curtain, the anvil, and my polished dresser,
Which invokes my eager amour of your distant soul.
I wish I were the tender moonlight to bath you all.

With the gleaming moonbeam, my warm love is floating;
My eagerness, the groups of flying geese fail sending.
Suddenly, suddenly the school of fish springs into the current flowing,
Which quickly makes the rough ripples on the waves dissipate.
O! ‘Tis like my innermost yearnings beginning to evaporate.

The spring of sorrows! That night I dreamed the flowers’ falling;
The spring, the current is carrying; The sea, the moon is gradually melting in.
O! My youth and your flesh like the spring and moon are fading;
I spend half the spring awaiting your reappearance on the sea;
On the ocean, in Troy, you continue going on the long journey.

I lament, and sigh- Wishing you could appear by the oceanfront;
I will mourn no more when you return from the exotic faraway place.
Further south and north, you depart. Tonight will be a tarnished night.
Veiling the shinning moon, the mass of mist rolls in off the sea;
Sorrowful, sorrowful, the vague moonlight ascends the riverside tree.

Premium Member Rowdy Wind

I

O hasty zephyr blindly scuttles past,
O’er dry forsaken mounds with tarnished grass;
Between a pillared mountain weak but vast.

A force that bends and fashions broken glass,
Reflecting in advance, recorded path;
Stirring fervent as it rises to pass.

Transporting active seedlings gone with wrath,
Existent flora blankets naked floor;
Serenely downcast holds the aftermath.

Disruptive wind that blows forever more,
Invokes tenacity for longer life;
Upon engaged terrain to salty shore.

Melodiously blow away lifeless air,
With wild direction - breathe - devoid of flair.

II

Invading wind complains with beasts of night,
With howling moan that steals away a kiss;
Until the dawn that takes thee from fine sight.

Encroaching wind that sends away the bliss,
On wings that will not cease to be aloft;
Like thief of gloom, with not a thing to miss.

Thou dare to scream at loveliness too oft,
Transforming life to death and back again;
Can gently spread with love a soothing waft.

Assaulting wind declares where sites have been,
Along a beaten course that dip and turn;
Is carving grooves in mountains for new glen.

Thou swift impulsive move not grave concern,
Until all life has paused for gale’s return.
