He was a charming chameleon, saying all the right things
in that beguiling masculine timbre of his sultry voice.
Allure in his hazel eyes promised things my heart hadn't felt,
but it ignored my head's warning until I had no choice.

A niggling of worry continued to swirl through my mind
that something was wrong. Something I couldn't quite define.
He had shortcomings but to all of them my heart was blind.
I desperately tried but reasoning couldn't keep my heart in line.

Much is written about the rebellion of a treacherous heart,
and how it rhythmically pulses with the need for passion's fire.
It's been the cause of many sleepless nights when I'm fraught
knowing I cannot extinguish my heart of its burning desire.

It has always wanted what it wanted and wouldn't be denied.
It's always managed to overrule what my mind was thinking...
until it'd been crushed and broken, and only then did it confide
that it should've paid more heed to my head and heart linking.

Hearts can be guilty of transgressions. Mine was by betraying me.
Then it had to pay the steepest price that infatuation could ask.
From the grasp of lustfulness, my heart was able to break free.
Balancing the volition between mind and heart is not an easy task.

Oh, those times when it was just you and I.
Forever in your arms I’d want to stay.
I gazed into your eyes – in blue of sky
I felt immersed as all cares slipped away.

There was no past or future; we were one,
and one together, we were breathing bliss
as warm and comforting as springtime’s sun,
which on each rose’s petals leaves a kiss.

There was no time, and only peace we knew.
It stretched before us. Utterly aware
were we , that love - unspoken - is love true.
Accepting one another, souls laid bare,
I lost myself in you and you in me.
Unblinking bliss– we were so wholly free.

Between the pulse of our heartbeat simply present
head- heart linking
dwelling in time with stretched blissful peace
awareness became unblinking.

Between heaven and earth the ethereal pulse of God's creation
sifting through the soul like a fluttering kite in motion
Here we are in a dwelling place of quarrel and demolition
only peace can assuage the heart and give it, its contrition

In the middle of war stretched across landscape of your heart
"The Lord's prayer," in a lilting whisper, you got this to an art
Give us today our daily bread and help us to do our part,
it is only love agape that gives our soul a fresh new start

Connecting spaces of our head-heart connection a mantelpiece
decorated with meditative awareness and unblinking utter peace
"Lead Us Not Into Temptation" let me decrease as you increase
seed and bloom inside my heart and help me fold this crease

Side by side two strong bookends holding together what rends
with a soulful melodic vibration I arrive at every bend
"May Thy Kingdom Come" and live within me til the very end
side by side, ... like two old reliable and sturdy bookends.

Open and shut, constant change
He’s on His throne, He’s off
My heartbeat says otherwise
My mortifying act of anamorphic shame

He says, “Sit still.”
He says, “Know that I Am…”

When I clear my head
not of everything
but when I sit in place
with only the inside and outside
universe; not without sound

I would be dead, without the sense
I’ve been given. I’m holding hands
with my own heart, quietly kissing
the peace, which I, all too often,
want to run from and to what…

How much time can I take
five or ten
minutes that I want to spend
elsewhere

but this is what I need. He
knows; the exploration time
spent in meditative prayer
pays higher dividends

Oh what I see
when I truly open my eyes
high beams highlighting,
sculpting, silhouette-sitting,
the unknown takes shape

The aha transforms. One
never forgets
when floored
with answers that transform

Innate Instinct

Morning dove sits upon her small brood
Warming and feeding her two small fledglings as they grow and mature

She knows precisely when to turn her back and push her young out into the world

Oh, please Morning dove, share a bit of your innate instinct with me

There is a hum to it
The core of the tuning fork
An innate tenacity of energy
Responding to the slightest touch
A vibrant desire waiting to be released
Shared, injected into, a waiting need
Seeking a partner of like frequency
Fulfilling the passion of energy’s lust
Freeing the un-imprisoned
From a self-imposed irony

Premium Member An Innate Compass

Our morals define our humanity:
not our intellect or our vanity.

An innate compass of morals guides us:
so we don't throw our friends under the bus.

Those with muted morals silence their souls,
citing justification and loopholes.

Morals distinguish animals from Man,
along with free will; it's part of God's plan.

To perambulate walks of life you need -
Calm common sense, clear vision and a creed.

A bit of luck, a lot of zest and hope
For glowing lights in your kaleidoscope.

Last but not least, your bright and vivid hue -
Translucent and transportable IQ.

Beauty Is Innate

Beauty is innate

I have not a soft spot for you nowadays,
When dust fast approaches and sets in night,
Not a memory of your super than suede skin tone lingers,
Not the softness from your ointment still arouses
My sense.

See beauty without grace
Is like
Fish far displaced from water,
And watching it die right there,
With minimal capacity to revive its existence.

See beauty is without pretense,
It dwells in utmost reverence.
And cultivated in patience it grows,
Not to what to the bare eye appeals,
But what the heart desires.
It is that flame
That burns within few.
And gradually it grows to a bonfire,
That one seldom yearns for its end.

A flowers beauty is so much satisfying when picked;
Its sweet fragrance only heightens thirsts,
Just as fast as a seductive touch,
Within love-seeking hearts.

Not even the finest piece of art or photography,
Could capture a flowers beauty,
As divine as it is when its hand held
But its beauty soon fades
To remain but a mere bit of finery to be pushed aside.

Premium Member Innate Aptitude

The inclination for heedlessness is a blessing.
Every point will, without a doubt, be invigorating.
With another blast of matured positive thinking.
To retrace our steps, civilization is slowly blurring.
Freedom projects exceptional, desolate lighting.
The power to ignore is a beautiful endowment of embracing.

Didn't Albert Einstein
say that space is also time?
that matter is also energy,
just another synergy,
and the universe is ours
in the space between two stars?
Does everything repeat
in the space between two beats?
and do my heartbeats frame
all spacetime by any name?
Can open minds and open eyes,
and open hearts see peace arise?
If I miss you 'tween two beats,
will I see you when it repeats?

In the hush where heartbeats softly blend,
A vibrant hum, where time and space suspend.
Each breath a bubble rose to the skies,
Awareness is sharp as if we’re born to rise.

The world emerges as petals in the light,
Where hermits dwell and drink from nectar’s bite.
On window sills of dreams that dare to soar,
We stand, mere men, yet feel the ancient lore.

With paths that twist as rivers through the earth,
Voices echo wonders whispering our worth.
The pulse between us thrums a sacred tune,
As daylight dances with the waning moon.

Her life is woven with threads of glowing grace,
A tapestry of moments we embrace.
We stretch in blissful peace beneath the shroud—
Of light and shadow mingling in a crowd.

In every flicker lies a call profound;
Our spirits fuse where silence knows no bound.
Yet still we feel—the tender ache of dreams—
That shimmer bright within reality seams.

So let us drink from this eternal stream,
Where head meets heart and minds ignite the beam.
In nature’s arms let every moment swell—
For here resides our truth—a living spell.

Premium Member Autumn's Innate Beauty

Listen, as brisk breezes begin
whistling, tickling the rustling leaves.
And hear children laugh as they play
amidst falling leaves in the fall.

Nature dabbles in abstract art:
tapping its palette's deepest depths.
And blending amber with scarlet;
captures Autumn's innate beauty.

But beauty is a fragile thing;
that can wither rather quickly.
And Winter's chilled breath sends shivers
running up the trees late at night.

Flurries carpet a drab landscape
with a fluffy, puffy duvet.
While fragile white flakes fall freely,
like feathers, tumbling in the wind.

The essential constituents of captivating charisma
align with the fabric of consuming sincerity,
find the adornment of internal beauty
spread invisible film on deceptive external ugliness,
remove the distressing doubt that it can’t be irresistible.

An overwhelming humane faith fosters the faculty
of being aware of depressing deficiency of the being.
The demonstration of the cherubic charm
expresses the life-force that tows the tide of lure,
inundating the landscape of deserted hearts.

On the seraphic shore of the sublime soul,
the supreme designer makes the destined inner circuitry.
The pattern creates innate magnetism of divine beauty,
attracts the consciousness essence of mortal elements
to the emancipating aura of amazing bliss.
