Premium Member With Love For You

Sun flow progressed from east to west,
with rays of light, the day is blessed.
Like suns imbue, rays beaming through,
my heart still shines with love for you.

Sun rays presume that flowers bloom,
and fill the air with sweet perfume.
Like flowers hue of red and blue,
my heart still blooms with love for you.

The charmed mystique of forest creek
that trickles down a mountain’s cheek.
Like streamlets spew their water through,
my heart still flows with love for you.

From Moon’s soft glow, the moonbeams flow,
and light the darkness down below.
Like moonbeams strew the silvery hue,
my heart still glows with love for you.

A candle’s light glows in the night
as shadows dance with calm delight.
Like flames that grew with heat on cue,
my heart still burns with love for you.

In swoon ‘neath golden moon and sable sweep
let bathe with hues upon my canvas soak
romance a mingle, brush and pigment sweet,
enrapture me your passion’s hungry stroke

explore an aura, fluid colors blur
imbue the skies of empty eyes a soul,
in deepest purple daubs a midnight stir
as lover weaves a dream to make me whole

caress the edge to fuse desire and shapes
lay a layer one atop the other
a throb of contrast, feelings free to traipse,
smoothing over yearnings with a flutter

starlit glaze and silky graze artistic
awaken chroma crave for drama shades,
     mood’s aglow, aroused and optimistic
before the painter’s lusty palette fades.

~ for my fellow poets ~

as slaves to the pen
or our keyboard, more apt
this molding of words
in a word, holds us rapt

fine fancies or fears
take us places unknown
our muse and our craft
better focused alone

the voice of our id -
the bounce of our rhyme
thus, charming or edgy
depending the time

midst romantic puddles
and whimsical trees
we splash our ideas
casting love to the breeze

a danger or hope or
a scorched trist-or-two
occur mind-to-matter
with the lines we imbue

the light AND the dark,
they both hold allure
our child's heart within -
just a tad bit impure

for tho we adore all the
things blithe and bright
we also know beauty
blooms deep in the night

if somber or joyous
thru passage or pain
it’s creatively ordered
thru rhyme and refrain

it's not that we're allied
- that we always agree
it's how we can sculpt
all the wonders we see

so although we may be
as different as spices
we’re thrall to our verses
whatever that price is

for it's a rare language
that few can command
but we speak it together
with a pen in our hand

so you may be a person
whom I've never met
but the gift of your writing
I'll never ...

forget.

Premium Member I Share My Soul

A pair of morning doves, preen and prim,
snuggled close on their favorite limb.
And cooing low, wake a sleeping sun;
singing praise, for a new day begun.

A slip of a ghostly moon rides low,
wearing its light like a pale halo.
And Sol ascends, master of the day,
heralding Dawn's breathtaking display.

Vapors shed crystal tears on the grass,
depositing dewdrops clear as glass.
And blooming flowers imbue the air;
a sweet fragrance, beyond compare.

Palm trees clad in a southern motif,
tickle the skies with a feather leaf.
And skittish crabs play tag with the waves;
darting in and out of flooded caves.

Sipping wine while enjoying the show,
we greet the day with a happy glow.
And as romance and Nature combine,
I share my soul with my Valentine.

Premium Member Temporal Shades

In temporal shades of pastel hue
abides a subject on debut.
Upon his brow the pencil bled,
sketching life through words unsaid,
etching strife through hints of blue.

I softly let the lines imbue
then gaze upon its stoic view.
His pose portrays the life he led
in temporal shades.

Each stroke unveils, in form anew,
the toll within a world askew,
one weary soul, one tangled thread,
sketching life through words unsaid
to simply do what artists do
in temporal shades.

Premium Member Promise of Hope--Edited

Streaks of anguish like drooping trees
Entrap pale hours across nightscape ,
Then crushing low upon my feet
Each leaf's motion reflects one bid
In neutral shades when moon withdraws--
That all around, on pine and lake,
My flame of hope enkindles breath
To glint beyond November's chill,
Awaiting a young son's return
From war-torn grounds cold as hoarfrost:
Till leaves form a halo , renewed
Adorning yard its lambent sheen,
Through colored tints which now imbue
A promise blest, of new life's course!

Premium Member The Twelfth of Never

When cheerful daisies fail to bloom in Spring
and the buds dry on the vine;
when the robin no longer attempts to sing
and the rivers turn into brine;

when the fireflies of Summer do not glow
and the rain can’t reach the earth;
when the seven seas cease their ebb and flow
and the ship is mired in its berth;

when Autumn loses its brilliant colors
and prevailing winds stand still;
when nevermore dwell ardent lovers
and hearts shed their romantic thrill;

when Winter holds no wonders to show
and the sun, no reason to shine;
when the mountain knows not of snow
and the stars refuse to align;

when you are gone and no longer in sight
and I no longer your face can imbue;
when your touch leaves and takes its flight,
then that’s when I’ll stop loving you.

Premium Member Grace of Sunshine

When June emerges through its gentle rise
The cloak  of sunshine bares an amber tint;
Glimmering on our lush fields, that reprise
A varnish of leaves, hued trees now imprint
Morn's luster as crystal rays spill anew
A dazzle, a blush like folks’ warm embrace
While toddlers hop and prance amidst sweet dew,
That frames of light imbue auroral grace :
How birdsong on boughs chirp in reverence
So effortless like this daybreak’s fresh array,
Till prayers bless a god’s omnipresence
Bestowing life in a heavenly way.

Magnificent the grandeur of dome's beam
Until it rests , hanging low yet agleam.

Premium Member The Veiled Depths - Constanza

Beside the surf she lay, a heap
Of broken hope, like bones, now crushed
And burning lips, forever hushed.

From eyes to sea, her briny weep
Gave solemn witness to her fears
The love now draining with her tears.

Thus bled her heart into the deep
With love that spoiled in other arms
Abiding not its throbbing harms.

To there, perhaps, imbue it sleep
For pain was all that coursed within
Yet fathoms, black, would drown its sin

Or dark and still, its secrets, keep
A passion's crime that stained her red
Her love, his lover ... cold and dead.

Beside the surf she lay, a heap
From eye to sea, her briny weep
Thus bled her heart into the deep
To there, perhaps, imbue it sleep
Or dark and still, its secrets, keep.

Premium Member Write Me

Put down your remote
     pick up your pen
     write me

Make me current
as I could only be written
     in this very moment
     (but make me timeless)

Assign words to
     smells, sounds, tastes, sights
     that only you sense
     (but make me universal)

Recall every poet
     (but be yourself)

Recollect every writing rule
(so you will know when and how to break them)

Make me enigmatic enough
that I can’t be comprehended on the first pass
(but intriguing enough to want seconds)

       Season me with swagger
         to inspire the timid
       Saturate me with hope
         to comfort the downhearted
       Imbue me with faith
          to inspire the seeking
       Permeate me with love
         to bless the lonely

Don't sweat it if others do it better than you
    (they don't know your heart)

Put down your laptop
     your briefcase
     your phone
     pick up your pen
     and write me

     (I am your story)

Spring's First Morn, Promise Of Those Rising Seeds

When seeking beauty, 'tis the rose I choose
Its flaming reds, 'oft love and truth infuse
And so reminds fine poetry of Keats
Or delicious taste of chocolate sweets
Yet dawn's sweet awakening Shelley sings
That flowers are the purest Heart of Spring!

But mind cries out, what of the yellow rose
Can it dance in the image that you chose
Shout out its songs, as does a meadow lark
Express its glory- vanquish the deep dark
Will aura of soft rose thy heart imbue
That beauty and truth spirit 'oft renews?

When Spring's waking heart, radiant truth shows
Dare we ignore majesty of the rose
And awakening, its beauty inspires
Blossoming spark that sets anew love's fires
How such sights sears into ones heart and mind
Essence of Life and a soul true and kind?

Spring's first morn, promise of those rising seeds
Joy of flowers that a soul often needs
Wafting aromatic smell, sunlit rose
So pleases the eyes, delights eager nose
Inspiring beauty in its soft splendor
Sings of Love and Kisses sweet and tender!

Premium Member A Kaleidoscopic Sky

Written: December 05, 2023
           __________________________________________

Earth's mysteries—swirling in the sky.
Heaven is comely with lemon meringue.
Vaporizing clouds are dulcet and colored.
Cinnamon light was shed on my shoulders.

Peering onto the horizon of a waning sun.
Beethoven and Mozart split into the ether.
Ruby tangos fuchsia in an outburst of ecstasy.
Fetching hues of elixir flash and flare.

Obsidian clouds yield a rumble of thunder.
Cumulus clouds coal-colored clusters.
In erratic black seas, akin to rogue boats.
Thunderclaps imbue a shiny sheen.

A cyan-blue sky casts her limbs outward.
Soaring saffron butterflies and kites.
A cloud of endorphins shrouds the world.
Amid raucous mirth and glamor lullabies.

The sky's evocative color palette.
sparked by the effervescent moonlight.
delightful days laced with zeal and zest
amid a kaleidoscope hallucination.

Premium Member Weeping Willow

Written: January 03, 2024
                 _____________________________________

Wrenching writhing
of capacious weeping willows
In a dubious dream vault
I felt spurred to seek safety
from scorching sun
subsequently, in confusion,
I broke into a wide smile
that reverberated within
an inane, jumbled heartbeat,
venous thrombosis.

Imbue a pulse to svelte vessels
I didn't realize when it started
lacking friends and love
shattered heart, rotting core
halcyon recalls vanished
just dying is the goal
It's exhausting to suffer and cry.

Every sound in your name
whispered in the breeze
strengthened our bond
going toward dreams
amid fluttering twigs
I discovered serenity and solace
weeping willow's embrace
wind rustled its twigs as music
quiet fears of long-lost hopes
seeking refuge from the hot sun
I discovered this secret treasure
a vault for memories and dreams
It's a long way to hell alone
life isn't awful, but no one phones
I can stay here until earth scorns
stay with my weeping willow.

Outside the open window, The morning air is all awash with angels. Richard Wilbur
______________________________________________________________

In a lush garden—bathed in halcyon light,
Where opulent blooms imbue the night,
An ethereal glamour—a dulcet spell
Unveiling secrets no tongue can tell

From heaven’s realm—angelic choirs
Descend with grace; their voices inspire.
Their reverential hymns ripple through the air.
A pure melody—beyond compare

Devout and innocent, their presence sublime,
Their angelic might shape the course of time.
Few people realize the power they possess.
Guiding us through—life's intricate mess

Music, they say, is the speech of angels.
A divine elixir that our souls entangle.
With each note, they weave a tapestry of love.
Filling our hearts with blessings from above.

Protecting angels of life, unseen yet near,
Watch over us with a love so clear.
Though they may fly high beyond our sight,
Their eyes are always upon us, shining bright.

In their leisure, they glimpse what we do.
With pure and sincere devotion, they sue.
They view our struggles, joys, and fears.
And offer comfort to wipe away our tears.

To love for the sake of being loved is human.
However, sincere love is divine, not an illusion.
Their devotion is unrestricted and boundless.
Graceful momentum—spatially senseless

So let us embrace the angelic symphony.
And let its harmonies set us free.
In their songs, we find solace and peace.
A glimpse of heaven's grace that will never cease.
