Spring's First Morn, Promise of Those Rising Seeds

Spring's First Morn, Promise Of Those Rising Seeds When seeking beauty, 'tis the rose I choose Its flaming reds, 'oft love and truth infuse And so reminds fine poetry of Keats Or delicious taste of chocolate sweets Yet dawn's sweet awakening Shelley sings That flowers are the purest Heart of Spring! But mind cries out, what of the yellow rose Can it dance in the image that you chose Shout out its songs, as does a meadow lark Express its glory- vanquish the deep dark Will aura of soft rose thy heart imbue That beauty and truth spirit 'oft renews? When Spring's waking heart, radiant truth shows Dare we ignore majesty of the rose And awakening, its beauty inspires Blossoming spark that sets anew love's fires How such sights sears into ones heart and mind Essence of Life and a soul true and kind? Spring's first morn, promise of those rising seeds Joy of flowers that a soul often needs Wafting aromatic smell, sunlit rose So pleases the eyes, delights eager nose Inspiring beauty in its soft splendor Sings of Love and Kisses sweet and tender! https://www.howmanysyllables.com/syllable_counter/ 5-23- 2021 Syllables counted by, The Most Beautiful Flowers You've Seen Blossoming, This Spring So Far, Poetry Contest. Creative winner. Way to go. The rose is a beauty but not so easy to grow and maintain. Sara

Thank you my friend. The rose may rank first with me as it did with my mother but other beautiful flowers are always on its heels vying for that crown! Nature gifts that beauty and we are free to enjoy and admire its handy-work. God bless.

"When seeking beauty, 'tis the rose I choose" Me too, my dear sweet friend. There is something enchanting about a red rose with white tips. Your entire poem takes my breath away. Spring is a lovely season to embrace and I am wrapping your thoughts gently around me. :) Brandy

Thank you my friend. My muse came to my aid when I was composing this new creation for the contest. Muse said, look back at what you saw in your youth and how dearly your mother loved flowers, especially the rose. After that the verses just seemed to flow forth. God bless.

Thank you my friend. As most would agree --all flowers are beautiful but the rose is a very special one that so often elicits a greater response and romantic feelings when gifted to a beloved.... God bless..

Thank you my friend. To me their beauty has no equal. And that it is a great representation of love/romance seals its place in our hearts, souls, minds and spirits. And that reminds me of Poetry. The immense beauty and the place it also takes in our hearts, souls, minds ands seeking/ searching spirits.. God bless..

continued--in fact that entire first stanza came to me in one smooth flow and was jotted down- needed no edits. That set the next verse about the yellow rose, the human mind and the enjoining of poetry, flowers, romance and imagery as a kind of verbal painting. I did the next three stanza and when finished needed only 4 small edits- to meet correct syllable count only.

Thank you my dear friend. To me their poetry (Keats And Shelley's) rivals the inherent and glowing beauty in flowers. As such they and their life's work popped into the verses as I was composing the new piece.

This poem is just gorgeous Robert. I wish I could write this well. The Rose in every or any color soothes the senses with its sweet perfume. My husband loved to buy me roses and now I just wait for a bloom in our small Rose garden. I am sure this lovely poem will take its position at the top of the list. I loved it and am Faving it! Blessings xxoo

Thank you my friend. That this poem touched you so and brought memories of your beloved husband and the gift of roses he gave you says a lot about love, roses and romance. Always a blessing when something triggers such beloved memories. And certainly one of the main strengths and purposes of poetry is its many wonderful gifts. I truly appreciate the fine honor of your fav'ing this new creation.. God bless...
