Holland
I live in the land
where seas are high
and soils are low
where dikes and dunes
are border posts of
safe and sound

I live in the land
where sea levels rise
and soil levels sink
where boats look down
on red tiled roofs
and tops of trees

I live in the land
where sand and clay
replace...

Nellie Gray Holland

1885 – 1899

I was never aware of the clock ticking
Or the spring spreading of the rose bud in my mother’s green garden.
I never saw the moonrise on a gray October night,
Or tasted the tart fruit of first love.
I never heard the cry of...

Limerick: There Once Was a Man From Holland
There once was a man from Holland
who waved so much he broke his hand
for he was popular in his land
so on his hand he wears a band
to greet his fans in Holland land .

My Holland America Coaster
My Holland America Coaster

I have never been bad, bragger or a boaster
But I have liked my Holland America coaster
Which to me was really some big surprise
Which each one was for free I did realize.

Now my coffee cup I put and place on it
After drinking then...

Roses From Holland
ROSES FROM HOLLAND and an invitation
to join you there for the summer
well in my reply I said thank you but no
thanks if you're just looking for a lover
I don't do like that anymore I want to
know what this thing is now that they
call love besides...

Stump For Holland Pump
Pumping water out of the Florida grounds.
Is more complex than you think it sounds.
For over forty years a team has tackled it.
Growing and scaling a service that’s legit.

Old fashioned morals that are rare to see.
They’re emphasizing satisfaction and quality.
High integrity and standards to avoid a...

The Holland Tonnel
The Holland Tunnel’s gussied up.
Its holiday display
Made some commuters angry
And they finally had their say.

Two wreaths were boldly planted
On the “O” and on the “U,”
So “Holland Tonnel’s” what appeared
To people driving through.

A Christmas tree was mounted, too,
On top of Holland’s “N.”
The “A” would be a...

Brewed In Holland
Brewed in Holland

Ah the land of Orange
In the land where the blond daises
Drinking in heat waves,
Sharing smiles and holding hands,
Rescuing black, dirty hearts
And then they fall apart and only pity kisses
Hold them together.
Love is brewed
And love is drunk,
In love together,
Whatever there is together
And kisses...

Holland

In Holland this sweet clog walking land
have too many cows realising methane gas into the air.
There are many gas explosions in Holland
no one has yet to connect the gas with the cattle.
But it is difficult for them the have fewer cows.
Once I met Prince Hans...

Holland’s glorious tulips amid windmills
Enticing the best nutrients from her gown,
Arriving two months after the daffodils,
Gorgeous colorful tulips do take her crown.
Parade of these beautiful flowers gives me chills.
Nature never lets anything slow her down.

Two Lips In Amsterdam
Phyllis Upman was a young maid
When she learnt the rules of her trade:
Show men what they want
Behave nonchalant
And be sure to pull down the shade!

n.b. Window shopping in
Amsterdam is a more popular
tourist attraction than tulips ...
