Max is mad at Molly
Samantha’s sore at Seth
Freida’s freaking out at Frodo
While Hobbits hold their breath

Jack jokes about poor Jill
She hits him with her pail
Humpty cracks open Dumpty
For drinking all his ale

Mickey Mouse and Minnie
They both make quite a scene
Playful Pluto gave her paw
and stroked her jumping bean

Rub is furious with Dub Dub
She has another man in his tub
His bubble has been bursted
So he scrubs Dub with a club

Cats in cradles cows and moons
Forks running away with spoons
Coyote catches the Road Runner
In the end we’re all Looney Tunes

Nothing makes us happy
Sticks and stones me oh my
Kryptonic grade destruction
Broken Superman can’t fly

The Beatles Battled Yoko Ono
Because she broke up the band
They sang ‘Give Peace a Chance”
a dream they didn’t understand

So I walk down to the River
John the Baptist please begin
Separate me from human nature
Cause I’m tired of our sin

Isildur's Heir

He seemed to be
just a Ranger of the North
     The folk around Bree
knew him as Strider
    But there were some things
the crowd at "The Prancing Pony"
    were not aware of
This "Ranger" was descended
from a long line of kings
He was Isildur's heir
     A glorious lineage!
When the hobbits saw himin
They knew not his true identity
They feared him - Sam was ready
to fight for his master's life
 Aragorn won their trust
   Due to his protection
they made it to Rivendell
    Where Aragorn's love awaited
Arwen Evenstar and Aragorn
    were desperately in love
Arwen knew she faced the doom of Mandos
   if she wed Aragorn
Yet she was willing to give up eternity
for the true king of men

The Fairy

A very long time ago
a family of Hobbits and butterflies met

In the deep magical forest
In Northern England they bred

Now since then we have had a few spotting's
of what seems to be a firefly or sparkler lighting

On a new moon she flickers colors of beauty , eyes of Emerald , wings of gold
Floating up mystical streams of white caps on a oak leaves she goes

The glimpse of a firefly or was that a Fairy in Flight ?
purple , pink , white rainbow lights , within the trees of twilight

The night Owl watches over her with loyal protection
the Fairy is going extinct , the animals of the forest honor the magic I mention

The Fairy fly's from Tree to Wild flower , The Birds awaken to sing
For they will orchestrate the stage , she dances' the ballet and will twirl

Her grace is captivating and enchanting through every living creature and thing .
On a Boat she stole away , it has been said , on the Columbus

You may spot her having Jasmine tea and cranberry crumpets with a dollop of maple
Or a whole flock have been spotted by Marion berries , 4 o'clock tea ,a bell will be ringed.

If the Fairy chooses to be seen , it has been said Love will enter your life and existence , The Fairy beauty , a Vision will live in your dreams .

The Magic will be carried and her vision to be cherished .
Next time you are out on a mystical night ,look closely at the flickering lights .

The Fairy will bless your precious soul with love and insight .
 for my Daughters ,
Tawny Marie, Danielle and Grandchild, Trinity Faith.

Marble Halls

I dreamed I dwelt in marble halls,
With servants and helps and slaves and all.
Silver cutlery, mahogany furniture and cedar floors,
I dreamed that man and beast both great and small
Knelt before me, swearing allegiance while a kissin’
My fingers so. That I would wake to the sound
Of harps and flutes and lyres too. That work
And pain were as alien to me as a red sun.
I dreamed that Ulysses’ flower grew on red
Tapestries hanging from the crystal roof.
That ariels and sprites and mermaids and hobbits
Attended to me and served me meals as a habit.
I drank from crystal ponds and swam in
Waters with all kinds of fish. Oh what pretty fins!

But then I saw him! Standing guard at
The gate. Paying me no mind like I were a dusty old hat!
What insolence. Why doesn’t he look at me?
Who does he think he is? Thinks he that he
And his lowly assignments mean more to the land
Than the princess of the marble halls and her hand
Littered with jewels from the treasures of Blackbeard himself?!
I could have him killed for no reason!
Could send him to Davy Jones’ locker any season!
Oh but I won’t. Oh but I can’t. My heart beats
At the sight of him; what shoulders ever graced man
Since Hercules, or chests like drums to beat!
A face like one of the statues of Perseus himself.
Oh that face, it graces my eyes daily and yet
I am powerless to do a thing. Oh Gibbet,
Even in my dreams you torment me still.

A tap and a shove, I think I dream still,
But here stands Gibbet in suit and tie;
At last it’s the aisle our nuptial knots to tie.
He stretches his awesome arms, and opens his lovely mouth
And says;
“I pay you not to sit and stare
Now pick your broom and this filth clear!”
I scramble and dash for my broom and cloth
Oh I did it again; sleeping on duty!

Far From Sorrow - First Published In Beyond Bree May 20112

I remember a comic book
Wheich said "Welcome to Sorrow's End)
I belive it was Marvels's "lfquest"
Everybody who has a heart
  Wants an end to sorrow
The lands of Middle - Earth are filled with dangers
and the world as we know it is also filled with dangers
       Every time you dance
Either physically or on the shores of unreality
You free yourself from the harsh winds
  of this mortal realm
    Hoep is somethign which
we need now
Want to do the springle Ring with the hobbits?
Want to do some circle dancing or the Watusi?
Well, meet me a 7 sharp at Bilbo's house
I hear ther is a party going on......

Of Herb Lore

The smoke from
Gandalf's pipe
     formed colored rings
which rested over
      the wizard's head
making him look
like a true sorcerer
      in the evening shadow
Yet the use of this weed
was no creation of wizards
   It was actually
         Tobold Hornblower
a renowned hobbit
    who discovered
    the weed
     The hobbits of Bree
 were the first
to put it in a pipe
The men of Gondor
esteemed the plant
for its marvelous fragrance
        Oh yes,
and there was one medieval scholar
        who was known
to enjoy a pipeful
         along with his companions
and discuss tales and
legends
over a glass of ale
      around a bright
fireside

Adventures In Literature

I wish I lived in middle earth,
With wizards and hobbits and elves.
Just give me a sword and a quest to fulfill,
Like the heroes in the books on my shelves.

I wish I had a dragon to slay,
A hideous fire-breathing beast.
Or a princess to save from an odious fiend,
Or a tall ship to sail nor’ by nor’ east.

I wish I had a battle to fight,
With archers and pikemen and knights.
Or be a sultan with a harem of shapely young maids,
In a garden of earthly delights.

I wish I had a magical lamp,
Or a walnut that would turn things to gold.
Or live in a castle with portcullis and moat,
In a kingdom a thousand years old.

I wish I had a windmill to tilt,
Or a brave army of champions to lead.
But alas modern life affords nothing like this,
So I curl up with a good book and read.

Premium Member Mid-Summer Night Dream

Once upon a time in the land of the Hobbits,
Fili was annoyed. He wanted excitement.
He was the youngest of the twelve dwarves,
Dressed in a blue cloak and sporting a yellow beard,
He entered into his tree house in an angry mood.
Up in the attic he sat on a stool and pondered.
That night all fairyland would celebrate
The great feast of Midsummer. And everyone
Would parade his oft practiced skills.
Alas Fili had nothing spectacular to show.

In the dim light of the attic he spied a shine.
Fili had the best eyesight and somehow knew
There below the cupboard lay an alexandrite lode.
It shone and magic oozed out of it.
What could it be? He grabbed it and saw
A parchment with strange signs he could not understand.
Yet in the bottom was written so very clear:
Use me to fly, turn, swirl, but you must
Understand the signs or suffer you will.

A Catherine wheel opened the feast lightning the glen.
Immediately thousands upon thousands of fireflies
Flew around and illuminated the open grassy space.
Elves brought in the beer, sweetmeats, firewater.
The Firstborns danced around the Maypole,
Frog dances abounded as elves escorted the Fairy Queen
To her elaborated decorative throne. She smiled
And after a while she clapped her hers, and amid the clapping
She gave the sign that the much sought contest can start.

Concluded

Elves, dwarves, mini giants, and hobbits all performed.
But last was Fili as he strutted to the middle of the glen.
Secretly clutching his alexandrite lode, he flew
Straight up ten feet with a view for all to see.
Fireflies flew erratically around him, a ghostly shine.
As Fili moved his clutched hand, he turned.
Somersaulted, spun and returned to his standing stance.
Below the people of the glen clapped in awe.
But now Fili was worried, how was he to descend
And thus receive his well merited prize?
It was the River-maid who rescued him, as she flew
And whispered in his ear. Change the lode to the left hand
She whispered, giving him a luscious kiss.
Soon Fili landed and the Fairy Queen beckoned him.
You can take your first midnight skinny dipping and eat all
The strawberries you like so much, she graciously said.
She took his lode, put it on a crown and on his head it sat.
And now Fili, the hero, was annoyed no more.

Did You See This Coming

In the vast green meadow
Next to the water was a special celebration
On a night like no other this was the scene.
There were many tents with family crests,
Tables, food galore, seats, people everywhere,
Lit lanterns and fires gave this place an
Extra warm glow.
Royalty was all there of the Gnomes, Dwarves,
Brownies, House Elves, Wood Elves, River Elves,
Fairies, Unicorns, Dragons, Witches, Wizards,
Goblins, Hobbits and even the ones who are a
Rare show.
I learned they were all related in one way or
Another when court did convene
In the vast green meadow.
You could see love overflowed to and fro.
This wasn't a dream I know what I had seen.
There were many tents with family crests,
Tables, food galore, seats, people everywhere,
Lit lanterns and fires gave this place an
Extra warm glow.
It was like being somewhere over the rainbow
Except everyone wore velveteen
In the vast green meadow.
It was ultimo primo
And very serene.
There were many tents with family crests,
Tables, food galore, seats, people everywhere,
Lit lanterns and fires gave this place an
Extra warm glow.
Father, Mother, Sons, daughters, grandchildren,
Great grandchildren, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins,
All in a family portfolio.
This one would never be seen in a magazine.
In a vast green meadow
There were many tents with the family crests,
Tables, food galore, seats, people everywhere,
Lit lanterns and fires gave this place an
Extra warm glow.

Premium Member Elf

I'm just an Elf, am I the only one
Living in the forest, by the river ,in the sun
Stomping and a romping tryn to have a little fun
But am I the only one, left to dance here in the sun
Oh wait here they all come

The mushrooms are ripe,on this wild and Elfish night
The Hobbits are setting the mood
The Unicorns dancing, the Centaurs are prancing
Theres magic alive in the wood, yes our magics alive in the wood

I am Elf and Elf I am,whisper when you speak, never holler at the Meek
Beware of the magic in the meadows, and the whispers in the wind
And when you happen on the Unicorn, your search for solace will finally end

Premium Member Between the Lines

"And if my private universe scans right, // So does the verse of galaxies divine ..." - from the poem "Pale Fire" by Vladimir Nabokov.

In Wonderland, with Alice I would walk
and speak with Cheshire Cats and one March Hare,
then through the looking glass, a Jabberwock,
as Tweedledum and Tweedledee would stare.
With Lucy in her diamond-studded sky,
newspaper taxis and cellophane flowers,
I found myself sharing marshmallow pie
with rocking horse people for countless hours.
In Narnia, I met the Pevensies
a Faun and Lion past the wardrobe door.
In Middle Earth I learned of talking trees,
and hobbits, dwarves, and elves - brave to the core.
Between the lines of lyrics, prose and verse
flew rockets in my private universe.

Devils Gate

come around to my house
i have a story to tell
do come to my house
it's a gate so close to hell

little demons come to tea
to have butter and crumpets
they come to visit me
and blow their glowing trumpets

hobbits in green hats
goblins in blue
plus big purple rats
and hobgoblins too!!

come around to my house
we have a gift especially for you
oh!!please come to my house
your friends can come too!

the only thing you have to bring
is a furry pink mole!!
the only thing you'll have to bring
is a decent healthy soul!

Premium Member A Hobbit Fantasy

Hobbits sought refuge in the great house
of their creator Tolkien.
Within a unicorn played with a mouse;
outside the fog gave way to rain.

While hobbits scurried to prepare a feast,
a fence on the beach gave way.
But in Tolkien’s walls merriment never ceased
and Gandalf had little to say.

For all who live in fantasy,
happiness is easier to find.
Humans can share the ecstasy
if to outside forces they remain blind.

A sheltered life protects the heart;
life is simpler in fantasyland.
Hobbits and humans live worlds apart,
but both benefit from a helping hand.

“Still round the corner there may wait,
a new road or a secret gate.”
Perhaps just in the realm called fantasy
would a hobbit/human world come to be.
