Isildur's Heir

He seemed to be just a Ranger of the North The folk around Bree knew him as Strider But there were some things the crowd at "The Prancing Pony" were not aware of This "Ranger" was descended from a long line of kings He was Isildur's heir A glorious lineage! When the hobbits saw himin They knew not his true identity They feared him - Sam was ready to fight for his master's life Aragorn won their trust Due to his protection they made it to Rivendell Where Aragorn's love awaited Arwen Evenstar and Aragorn were desperately in love Arwen knew she faced the doom of Mandos if she wed Aragorn Yet she was willing to give up eternity for the true king of men

wow! Matt, how many of your newest poems have I missed. about your poem: I love it, is this poem referring to the book of Lord Of the rings... I believe so, and a true beauty and heart she has.. I too would give it up eternity, to be with the man I love... elf or no elf.. nothing should keep 2 worlds apart.. loving this one especially today. wish I could write about the creative tale... a new favorite poem... hope you enjoy my newest post... love.. LINDA

Nicely done, Matt. Would look great inside a book about hobbits! I will have to check out that name you gave me. It's an online magazine?
