Helped You Fly

I held your face and caught your tears..
On my fingertips they balanced and disappeared..
Swallowed your sadness with an open mouth..
Lifted grief away and showed what love is about..
Took a dream and gave you the starring role..
A place to run and play and feed your soul..
Now your free to dream your own..
Just remember me, your never alone..

Cranberry shaded leaves upon
Crepe Myrtle in the fall
Fig leaves change to their ripe color
Now those distant birds' call

It is so dry, Shikita ga Nai
'Tis the design for this time
But drier than some in the past
There's no reason or rhyme

Or is it in God's grand design
Of course, it has to be
God would send rain if it were not
The future is His decree

Hair turned white, Shikita ga Nai
Permanent color, could dye
But ages' affects, I can't stop
Rapture will be by and by

Let snow fall upon the mountain
Let crevices crinkle
Let the brain and heart be wise
And love's vision twinkle

Premium Member She helped me surmount

She has had her share of pain, the kind that turns life inside out
She has learned to survive on her own while inside, she wants to shout
She has passed through doubts and came out the other side
She has humbly rebuilt from places where people lied
She has felt broken while still caring for her friend,
who receives her support with a gratitude that will never end
For she shows with angelic action that she understands,
how to care, regardless of where her friend lands
Thank you my friend, in more ways than I can count
Never forget the many things, you helped me surmount!

Marking Time....To My Friends On Poetry Soup.- the Lord Helped Me Fight Death and Won.

i don't want to be just marking

time. i died on november 20,

2008, during surgery. i was

on a vent when i awakened

december 2, 2008....my sisters'

birthday. what made me llive

i'll never know. i know there

are things to do on this side

of death.

i have no time for marking time.

i have a stupid bag hanging from

my side now. i am supposed to

"get comfortable with it". well

that was a laugh.

that was a laugh until i thought

of the people that had these

things with no hope of ever

getting away from them.

i am so lucky. 14 days i laid

on a vent, then 22 more.

i came home 3 days,

then

i had
great pain in my chest...
.
well this is great i said,

a pulmonary emboli, 15 more

days, three days home.

then back to e.r. blood pressure

too high. this bought me

4 more days in e.r.

i am home now and finally

have spent 19 days home.

i feel every pain and i feel

every time that i feel good

yes, i am never marking

time again.....there is

something about fighting

for your life and your sanity

that straightens things out.

i don't recommend it but

i wish i could let your hearts

know what i know.

They Helped To Look For Little Caylee

they helped to look for little Caylee,
in rugged woods, muddy lakes and ditches
endless days and nights, thousands searched
everywhere by foot, car, boat and air

in rugged woods, muddy lakes and ditches,
they tirelessly looked for signs of her--
everywhere by foot, car, boat and air;
hoping she had survived any danger

they tirelessly looked for signs of her,
while Caylee's family pleaded for her return,
hoping she had survived any danger--
until her mother confessed she had drown

while Caylee's family pleaded for her return,
endless days and nights, thousands searched;
until her mother confessed she had drown,
they helped to look for little Caylee

Assignment: 25,000 dollars to help a needy family

There is such a place that is for sale for twelve thousand dollars
I would do some minor renovations for seven thousand
Turn on the utilities one thousand dollars
Stock the shelves with groceries six hundred dollars

I Hope I Helped

…This is where this story ends,
…And with hope one more begins,

…But it all depends on you,
…And what you decide to do,

…Will you take these words and share,
…These poems with artistic flair,

…Are these lessons only mine,
…Or should they be more refined,

…As my life comes to an end,
…I have no more time to spend,

…Spinning these gossamer webs,
…As the blood from my heart ebbs,

…So no more sweet lullabies,
…As this crass old poet dies,

…But with one more line to go,
…I do hope I helped you grow.

Many times in life bad things have happen to me,
                         things that brought me to my knees weeping;
things that I had no control over and could not stop,
they could have broken me but I did not let them.

It is my way to fold my petals when I am hurting,
                          to want to hide from the world in the dark;
to isolate and absorb the silence like it is a magic,
then, one day unfold one petal at a time, beautiful.

I want people to see my weaknesses and courage,
                            to see how I have found a way within;
to deal with hurt, pain and grief, to let it go and move on,
everyone has their way and each is not wrong.

Do not worry about me, dear hearts, I will emerge,
                             a better poet, a better person in the end;
my butterfly wings will flutter, my beauty within will shine,
and I will soar but only after I let go of my pain.

For this part of the journey cannot be helped.

Jesus Helped Me

Jesus Helped Me!

Jesus was there, when no one
 else was around.
He picked me up, when I was
stumbling around.

He was there when I went
 through tough times.
He touched and restored
my troubled mind!

He was there when I really needed it!
He filled my life and totally completed it!

He spoke words that greatly
 filled my heart.
I knew he would be there, from the start!

I’m so thankful for his faithfulness today!
I love him much more than words can say!

I’m so blessed for the chance
 to know him!
I humbly come now
 and bow before him!

He helped me and can do the
same for YOU!
He’s here right now!
What are you going to do???

Days of Despair Helped By Heroes

There's a hero in us all
Helping others when they fall
Picking them up off the ground
Love and care will soon surround
People who need kindness now
It is pure magic just how
One small act of passion
Takes away the pain to lessen
The burdens on others who
Feel down and very blue
Taking time to spread good cheer
In a world of pure despair
Will soon start a long reaction
To erase even a fraction
Of the sorrow we all feel
When its all too very real
All the woes making us weary
Can become a little scary
Wishing for a special idol
To wipe them out for a while
Saints with hearts full of concern
To alleviate and burn
The anguish and anxiety
Strains are let go and set free
Encouragement and tenderness
Will remedy any mess
A superstar to relinquish
Catastrophes and abolish
Irritations to restore
Bliss in a troubled life once more

Whats Wrong With the Youth How Have You Helped

Inspired by a conversation I recently had with a friend

A friend said to me whats wrong with these kids today
to which I replied probably some of the mistakes we made yesterday
A lot of problems they have were inherited from us
I should have known that would start a fuss

He went on to say I worked all my life before that I over achieved in school
I was too busy studying to think about acting the fool

I would never sale drugs even if times were hard
and if money got low I'd just get another job

I respected my elders especially mom and dad
I dreaded disappointing them that would make me so sad

So are you trying to compare them to me. Is that what your telling me
I replied hold up the Lord does not have misdemeanors or felonies

True you were good in school and worked hard through the week
but on the week end some of your check went to thunder bird and weed
see todays drugs dealer came from yesterdays weed man
so indirectly you helped their business expand

And in high school you had your way with the girls like they were all whores
maybe just maybe some of these bad azz kids are yours

And if so that respect for your elders you spoke on
may have left when they realized daddy was gone

This by no means justify these times not at all
I just wish more of us would ask our selves where did we drop the ball
See all the finger pointing we do don't help worth a dam
unless it's join by the other fingers as an extended hand

I Helped the Needy

I helped the needy
From my heart today
And shared with them God's love
In a very special way

Helped them to know the Master
And the things he's done for me
To know it's available for them
all to do is wait and see

And to know their's many blessings
God has in His plans
For every needy person
Child, Woman, or Man

So in my prayers today
Is not to be so greedy
As I pledged in my heart
Everyday to help the needy.

How You Helped Me!

You made me open my eyes,
To things before i did not.

You helped me to overcome,
The fears i could not.

And my night more warm.

For you are y one true love.

I Was Helped Not Lost

I was lost, held and helped
You may speak none stop but that day I knew it was not wrong
I was held, helped and lost
I faced challenges, by the time i saw him, his face was scrambling, harsh
But i knew the time was right
With his African smooth talking
But now, i know i was held not lost but helped

Speak up for the bright things and future
I was helped, held and lost
As a bright black African girl
I was not deceived i was helped

But though i achieved cause i was helped
Not embarrassed, the dignity-integrity and trust was gone
Even though i was not proud

But i was helped
I was helped
Not lost.
