Earth whispers
I hear her
I am here to receive
Nuances of flight and discovery
My senses warm with anticipation

Fragments of hope and desire
Pain and loss
Arrive on moonbeams of broken glass
Shattered dreams sing
Delivering silky threads
Glistening with seedlings of rebirth

Opening my heart, I close my eyes
Leaning forward into the warmth of the sun
Wearing my vulnerability on my sleeve
I dive headfirst off the cliff
Opening my arms to capture
The energy of the moment

Fingertips outstretched, reaching out
Beckoning encounters with the here and now
How wonderous to receive you
Dear light and love
I journey into what was – what is - and what will be

Messages arrive from you
Feathered musical notes
Cries from the lonely ones
Howls from the night animals
Thunderheads boom in the distance
Piercing the velvet blackness

A warm wave caresses me as you glide by
Tickling me with your tailfeathers
Magic in motion as time stands still
Inside the teardrop I gaze outward
Immersed in the beauty of
What it means to be alive

Persimmon heartbeats envelope me
A gentle rhythm as we rise
To the downy envelope between
Earth and sky
Gliding in peace and unity
Through star crusted waves of
Lavender light
Exhaling gratitude

In the realm of stars, where dreams bear flight,
A moment of tranquility, bathed in celestial light.
When night kisses the cease of the day,
A realm of peace emerges, where troubles sway.

As twilight weaves its tapestry of gold
And the stars start their dance, bold,
I find myself in a place so serene,
Where worries vanish and troubles are unseen.

In this realm of stars, where dreams bear flight,
I am embraced by a soothing, celestial light.
My cares, such burdens too heavy to bear,
Are gently released into the night air.

I feel weightless, floating on tranquil waters,
Embraced by a love that knows no borders.
The moon, a guiding beacon in the sky,
Illuminates my path as I peacefully glide by.

In this realm of stars, where dreams bear flight,
I am free from the chains that bind me tight.
No distress, no fears, just serenity,
As I find solace in this moment of tranquility.

The whispers of the wind, a symphony of peace,
As I surrender myself to this moment's release.
The world around me fades, and I am alone,
Immersed in the beauty that the night has shown.

The stars twinkle above, as diamonds in the night,
Guiding me toward a destiny so bright.
In this realm of stars, where dreams bear flight,
I am filled with a sense of pure delight.

The universe unfolds its secrets to me,
As I wander through this realm so free.
I am but a speck in this vast expanse,
Yet I feel connected, a speck of the cosmic dance.

In this moment of tranquility, I am at peace,
All my strains and troubles find release.
In the realm of stars, where dreams bear flight,
I am embraced by the beauty of the night.

A moment of tranquility, so pure and rare,
Where the burdens of life simply disappear.
When night kisses the boundary of the day,
I find my cares just... fall away.

Someone is knocking at my door
The night’s cold, my world’s dying and drear
It’s Good Joy. Cheers! No more, no more
Oh dear, I cannot open the door for her
Sorry Joy, glide by, I’m sick and not in my gear.

Someone is knocking at my door
The night’s cold, my world’s dying and drear
It’s Good Hope but I can’t be lured.
In dark shadows I grope, what makes you come here?
I know you mock the life, glide by, I desire.

Someone is knocking at my door
The night’s cold, my world’s dying and drear
Oh, It’s Good Health. This year you won’t be ignored
Welcome, I dart my doors open for you, dear.
I do need nothing but your blessings this year.

Premium Member Memories of a Young Girl In Blue

Head down
The old woman sews
A dress
Nimble fingers
Marking each stitch
The whirring of machines
Whirling and whirling
Round and round
Threading memories
Of another time
Reminding her
Of a night
Long ago
When she was afraid
To speak to a boy
Sitting next to her.
As her busy fingers work
She remembers more
Of that summer night
A blue cotton dress
With tiny ribbons
Lace curtains gently
Pulled by a breeze
Drifted out through opaque windows
While musicians played a rhythm
Of their own
And shadows pranced
On empty walls.
Waiting that night
She wondered
Why no one
Asked
Her to dance.
Old memories
Glide by
On silver sails
And today?...
She knows that today is now.
And yesterday was yesterday
Finished with her work
She catches her breathe,
Straightens her hair,
And turns off the lights.
Pausing to look back
Into the darkened room
Shadows return her glance
With a gaping stare
Adjusting to the darkness
She begins to recognize
Familiar shapes taking form
Satisfied that all will be the same
When she returns
She closes the door.
Going outside
She holds onto her purse
Waiting
For a traffic light
That has already
Changed
A smile crosses her face
As she remembers
When the boy
Became her husband
Children were born.
And the years went by
In a brown bag
Neatly folded in two
Is a blue chiffon dress
Almost like the one
She wore years ago
Only this one
Is for her granddaughter
Impatient for no reason
To go nowhere
The crowd pushes forward
But the old woman lingers
On the corner
Savoring the moment
Glad of memories
As a busy world saunters by.

Time
Our stint
Together
Seems to glide by
Two days feels like hours
Those moments I cling to
Memories, like air we breathe
Till we are no longer apart
Mutual love and trust our measure
Intertwined no longer you and me, us…

My Fifteenth Birthday

It's my fifteenth birthday
and I don't really care
because I have everything I need
my family, food, and air.

No more birthdays
will ever be the same
as the first through the thirteenth
when my dad said my name.

I know I have to move on
but it's harder than you think
my mom and dad was my everything
and half of it has sank.

He can't walk me down the isle
like fathers normal do
he can't spoil his grand kid
like he wanted to.

He can't be there for me
when I need to talk
he always made me laugh
and sometimes gave me shock.

I haven't laughed in a while
like I did with him
he'd always do something funny
just to watch me grin.

I dream about him all the time
but it's just not the same
as having him with me
and calling me by my middle name.

He won't be there to watch me
drive my first car
to tell be to buckle up
and to check out each tire.

but everywhere I go
he'll be by my side
invisible or not
he will help my life glide by.

Premium Member - In the Fragility of Dreams -

A brighter tomorrow - in infinite tenderness
fragrance of your free wings
When the sky is transparent
... a perfect day indeed
Freshly sprouted - like flower in bud

Where stars glide by at night
in blue moonlight
... the light turns through your dream

The soft peace with less hand luggage
Find a four-heart clover
under the white lilac

A magical sparkling cobweb
with small glass beads
... like a good night kiss on your cheek
- an hour to fall in love

- one's little dreams ...
is to forget the reality ...
just for a while ...
- don't crush them ... please

Urban Lights

Let us gaze for a
    while
at the gaudy urban lights
This is what we have come to
    in our civilization
The masses move along
    in subway cars
While limousines containing the
  more fortunate
glide by on city streets
   How many sunrises will the
metropolis see before it is turned
to ash or a pillar of salt?
    The "atom - powered juggernaut"
is still operating
despite the end of the "Cold War"
Terrorists threaten our very
existence
  When they strike
            they burst open
the veneer of safety which with
     live with
   Our darkest fears
Are now the stuff of daily life!
    Urban lights
Let us hope and pray
   they keep shining

Within Sweet Dreams Her Lover Resides

Within sweet dreams her lover resides
surrounded by flowers on all sides
Wind blows to soothe her poetic heart
as each night's loving dreams start

Dreaming shadow realm brings her love
angelic prince from heaven above
Golden palace graces their sweet dance
all perfect in this epic romance

Singing clouds, the music softly plays
as she adores prince's gentle ways
Each dance matches her heart's beats
as she lays in soft satin sheets

Here space and time stands very still
as she embraces a joyous thrill
The softest kiss ever so sweetly given
upon lips of a girl now truly livin'

With every love touch he speaks to her
hours glide by in a kissing blurr
Before each dawn they find deeper joy
as her prince becomes a lover boy

Moments before true romance breaks
a climax through her body rakes
Only then does her prince bid goodbye
as she wakes with a joyous cry

Within sweet dreams her lover resides
surrounded by flowers on all sides
Wind blows to soothe her poetic heart
as each night's loving dreams start

wonderful poem titled--"A Bed of Petals"...

A Moment of Rest

Let us dine on sugar-spun moonlight:
an exquisite treat that
Fills our bellies and sticks to our teeth,
The nostalgic taste of White Rabbit candy,
Creamily sweet, wrapped in rice paper.
We shall be weightless, infinite,
Childish for once.

Regret not, my friend, for the breeze is soft tonight
As the universe exhales sweetly. It is a blissful world,
Yet it has been unkind to you.
But you were meant to sweep dried rice across
The tiled floor, to wear red shoes that crimp your toes,
To lose a lover in spite of your brilliance –
because of your brilliance,
For your lean eyes and dark hair,
Chopped bean curd and chicken feet,
Are an otherness all combined: too pungent
To be delicate, yet too commonplace to be desired.
You were meant to curse yourself, blame yourself,
Crushed by guilt, so that every breath, every dream becomes half
The splendor it was before.
Regret not those dark days, for you’ve traveled far,
Each mistake casting a warm glow over
The untrodden path your mother failed to see
As she crossed the ocean.

They have strengthened you,
Weakened you to the right consistency.
You can stretch without cracking
And harden with fire, a regal teapot
Born of humble zisha sand and water.

Relax, my dear, for I know you are tired.
Let us pause before daybreak,
For we were meant to stop here to catch our breath,
Under the wise willow tree,
And watch the nightingale glide by.

Hands

Hands reached out and grabbed my heels as
I walked this once bloody field. They were
just everyday hands, miners, carpenters, the
hands of the butchers boy, the bank clerk,
the sordid hands of the local Johnny no good.
The tinker, the tailor, the poacher, all pressed
for the glory of war, a glory lost in knee deep
mud and indiscriminate lead. Where the Devil
played poker with fate for the right of souls,
the Ferryman busy that day. Before my feet
the Poppies fall like men in sights at duties
call, then and now the field turned red. I sit
the depression where some cannon chewed,
now overgrown with moss and memories.
Whispers glide by me, idle banter, everyday
chat, sport, sisters getting married, mothers
worried, will anyone remember me, why.
This muddy morass where men walked or
ran, never realizing that death had its own
pace. And yet every step was made of duty,
glory forsaken as a lost cause, every step
seen as one closer to home. How many
names beneath this soil, how many stories
feed these poppies, and how many dreams
still lie bleeding.

Walk the battlefields and you will feel those
hands, the tinker, the tailor, the butcher boy

Premium Member You - the One

Okay I am going to write a poem about You
You know who I am talking about
You are impossible, unbelievable, incredible
We can never guess
What You are up to
The things You are gonna do
You are unattainable, unachievable, unimaginable
Can't know you
Can't see you
Can't get you
Can't understand you
Can't glide by you
Can't hush you
You are one unutterable, unfathomable, undriveable Force
A force that I don't want to reckon with
You are huge -bigger than life
Hard to know you
Hard to try you
Hard to get along with you
Hard to perfection
That's what You are
But then that is not what You are
Because I am still figuring You out
Does it take a lifetime?
Does it take forever?
When are You ever going to let it be known?
When are we ever going to believe in You?

Her Naked Walk

.

                     Surely you jest

                      Your censure
                         was cold

                    As if you could
                     shackle mine
                 explosive thoughts
                  of her naked walk

                 Her glide-by yours
                      plagued you
                 whilst hern sparkle
                     inclined mine

Beachwalking

I walk barefoot on the beach
Where the water greets the land.
Waves with their wet fingers reach,
Then retreat from where I stand.
White foam fizzles on the sand.

I pick up some rocks and shells,
Watch the shorebirds dive and fly
As the ocean ebbs and swells,
Plovers skitter, seagulls cry,
Soundless pelicans glide by.

Cool Blue Destiny

COOL BLUE DESTINY

a cool blue crystal daybreak as
moon departs shimmering stars
on the sea

in silhouette they stand alone
warm from inside out they swig
down brandy

seagulls cry their morning pleas
gather swiftly orbiting boat
drifting free

fishing rods wait hooked with bait
as glistening scales glide by
decoys plea

oceans bounty captured as
frantic wide eyed last breaths meet
destiny
