Best Freak Out Poems
I’m a girl.
I’m a whirl,
And A swirl.
A wind.
A blend.
I mend.
And I bend…
Of the reeds,
I need,
I bleed,
I bead….
And I mend,
As I Pen.
A little hippy.
A little cheeky.
Even squeaky,
Sometimes when I laugh.
I’ll cry,
Be dramatic,
***.agerate.it
while I create it.
I’ll dye again,
Freak out again,
Think I’m here
While I'm there,
and then…
I’ll breathe.
Hear a breeze….
Be Week in my knees…
And I’ll breathe.
A joke right there.
from outta the know-where.
A mum, and a hum,
Then a giggling tone.
Was that a worry?
Didn’t think I had One?
I’m a jeweler,
I need a Ruler,
To keep my measure,
Is such a pleasure.
Gemstones,
My sparkles’n’bling,
Bending wire,
Makes my heart sing.
I’m a Nerd,
And a flirt,
I’m a gardner,
Hands in the dirt.
Small tomatoes…
Fruit of the Earth.
For what’s it all worth.
I love first,
everything.
I have no doubt.
But if so,
I just shout,
When I pout
and I cry it all out.
And deep inside….
I don’t know her name,
Lives a warrior girl,
Who lives without shame.
Two eyez like flame.
And.
~The journey started…
A Long Time Ago.
… and You?
Andrea,
a woman considerate and kind, mellow, down to earth, and fun-loving,
she loves to use her mind.
Thefore, scrubbing on her knees, this gal you’ll never find!
Sisters she has four of, but there are many others.
Gal pals she has, who are her sisters from other mothers.
One husband all her life - at times he drives her insane.
Old boyfriends sometimes are subjects of her poems.
They reside in the treasure chest compartment of her brain.
Mother to two is she– one girl and one boy.
Grandma to four – two of whom don’t always bring their parents such great joy!
She loves to eat, so it follows that she loved to learn to cook.
She makes things up and has no need of recipes coming from a book.
She loves to hunt for bargains and save her honey money.
She loves all kinds of movies, both dramatic ones or funny.
She feels great passion for the things she believes are true
and feels she’s learned a lot in life from all that she’s gone through.
Her fears are rather silly. She avoids driving in a strange big city.
It brings her stress, which she detests. She might freak out, which is not pretty.
Changing weird attachments on a vacuum cleaner would
be a thing to stress her out. At puzzles she’s no good.
New technology keeps coming at her job. This also makes her stressed,
but she can sure accessorize. She’s great at getting dressed!
Her greatest fear – seriously – is facing suffering,
so fear of pain and torture (more than fear of death) is her scariest thing.
She saw a lot of Europe when she studied in Madrid.
She got to take one nice cruise, and other things she did
were seeing more than half the states and going to Brazil.
Her husband hates to travel, so it’s good when she was young she got her fill.
She only really wants to see her lovely family.
Because she lives so far away, with them she’d love to be.
And when she dies, her brother Dale she hopes she will see first.
Young he died, and finally . . . with thankfulness for poetry
and for all her other passions she feels her heart might burst!

Searching
pacing
fretting
losing
Freak out!
Breaking
crashing
burning
crushing
Time lost!
Up
down
left
right
Which way?
Lost
gone
forgotton
never
Finally found!
When life has me down
On the mats
Running circles
Doing laps
Short of breath
Losing bets
I go to the internet
And Google cats...
I see water colored
Cats as art
Cats with wings
Swinging stars
Cats that sing
Cats that bathe
Dressed like Pirates
Sailing lakes
Cats that bark
Just like dogs
Cats with friends
Playing cards
Cats that jump
But not that far
Catching air
While missing marks
Cats in Charlie Chaplin hats
Using credit
Who's got cash
Cats that eat
Silly String
Freak out when
The doorbell rings
Cats that talk
Like babies do
Where their meow
Sounds like goo goo
Cats in color
Black and white
Chase other cats
Run from mice
Where my kids say
That's nothing new
I'm sure some of you
Have seen it too
But like I said
When life gets bad
Where sanity
Is barely kept
I close my door
And lock the latch
Go to the internet
And Google cats..
The rampage..
Yell and scream… She’s angry
Hang up the phone… I’m history
Stop taking my meds… Freak out! I’m going to go insane
Fail a class in school… I can kiss college good-bye
Paint my nail black, wear dark make-up… I’m gothic
Believe the Bible is man made… I’m going to hell
The rampage continues on for another month…
Don’t call home… I want no part of them
Write how I feel… I’m depressed, useless, not good enough
Cry… I’m immature and weak
Laugh… Are you on drugs?
Be polite… What do you want from me now?
I’m alive… now I’m dead
now,
the mother earth heals,
the nature is getting bound by fresh and aesthetic feels!
the air is getting pure,
the polluted water is also getting cured.
the birds are happily flying,
the animals are content and smiling!
maybe the trees are getting fresh,
Because the pollution has become so less;
We indeed made this heavenly earth a mess.
but,
we are now held behind the dungeons we call homes,
we are now asked to wash our hands until they produce foams;
we are demanded to ignore each other,
we are requested to stay as far as possible from one another.
ever thought -
we'd live the way, animals have been?
we'd be captured the way, animals were seen?
we'd freak out when someone would just let out a sneeze?
others would cough and we'd freeze!?
ever wondered -
how those animals felt behind the bars,
how many were hurt and were given painful scars;
their cries have now become our tears,
and we are complaining; overpowered by our fears.
well now this is how we need to live,
Because when nature had plenty to give;
we fought and made it all sick,
we wanted power for which we played nasty tricks;
and now nature has our destiny prepared which pricks.
now our regrets are all vain,
because the earth has suffered real pain;
we are still growing insane,
Because we don't even know when we'd be free of this deadly chain! .
The human genome consists of 20 000 paired genes… about…
During meiosis, gametes are generated by randomly swapping genetic material… let's shout…
2^(20 000) = 10^(6 000) possible sperm (proud of daddy)… boy scout…
2^(20 000) = 10^(6 000) possible ova (proud of mommy)… far-out…
2^(40 000) = 10^(12 000) possible zygotes… freak out…
1 zygote in 10^(12 000) = Improbable Me… no doubt!

The cities streets once felt like home
With shadows now I find I roam,
A tree that shared its welcome shade,
Now stands apart from leafy glade,
And memories of storms that tore
The others down
What can my trembling heart restore
Uneasy rests my manhood's crown.
I do not know what's coming next,
You do not phone and rarely text,
But still I carry fantasy
Of me with you and you with me!
A broad road or a path unknown
We pay the rent
No parent’s voice or chaperone
Our destination's different
We do not need to ride the tide
Or keep our feelings deep inside
Decision ours, all is ahead,
Our intellect is our life's bread
Together is where we belong
Let’s fight the fight,
Commit to what we want lifelong
To loneliness say fond goodnight

Poet's Notes:
This poem is me trying to imagine what life is like for a young gay man who is in love with his best friend but not able to say anything for fear that his friend would freak out and reject him completely. He is afraid his friend is homophobic so the young man tries to hint at what he really wants without actually saying what is in his heart!
Knew a wee hottie by the name of Liz
Who always knew exactly the way to give
More than routine
This sex machine
Made me freak out at the sight of her biz

She went to a whole other
place today and guess what? I
took her there. She starts
screaming and yelling and
saying things out of character...
At this point I'm more confused
then I've ever been. Like what
happened to the sweetheart I
met 6 months ago???
Just bought a new car, she
keyed it. Flat screen tv, she
broke it. Some shoes I waited
in line for for 5 hours, she rips
the tongue off of them. The
bracelet I bought her, she
throws it at my head. This all
started because I wouldn't
watch her favorite romance
comedy. Like most men, I
should run like hell but you
know what??? I think it's
adorable. I mean it is my fault
she's like this. When she gave
up on love, I made her see
what she was giving up. When
she lost her first love, I helped
her find another one. When her
first time was horrible, I made
her last time amazing. I was
the one that gave her a cheesy
romance movie beginning.
Since she has never been
swept off her feet, I will be all
the broom she ever needs. So
to my psycho girlfriend, I
refuse to apologize because I'm
going to do you one better.
When ever you freak out and
go through an episode like this
one today I'm just gonna grab
your face and kiss you like your
going away on some very long
business trip. You know... The
kiss where your toes curl up
and your socks pop off. Yea
that kinda kiss. What can I say,
she's psycho because of me
and if if that's not the second
best reward to true love then
idk what is.
She loves me, maybe not
Behind silver, she’s shining
We may not be allowed to engage but we've done it,
With pride we've made it,
Forcefully, we've bonded.
Let me trace the pace that we faced.
This is Africa, homos are sinners,
Westerns are tractors
And illegal partners are deceivers.
She loves me, maybe not
We met at work, coincidentally we became friends,
I hate to admit that your face was cuter that the earth itself,
Your body was made with love and peace,
No wonder you glow at night, and shine during daylight.
She confessed, I entertained, she came closer I froze,
My heart beating louder than drums, I felt warn air coming, I was hoping we won’t exchange breath and interlock because we both have boyfriends.
From that moment our lips told each other a secret, we knew we kissed and we love it.
Like thieves we sneaked, escaping from our partners to be together,
Her boyfriend knew that we were close friends, my boyfriend, knew that my friend comes first.
When she sees me with my BF she freak out, when we kiss, her face turns pink, when I give him a kiss goodbye, she walks away.
Surely this is more than lust,
We text we delete, we hate we love, we desire, we pressure,
And flout, we freeing, we pretend it never happened but we end up on the same spot,
Repeating everything that our surrounding hates,
My second lover is a woman,
You may criticize, rejects and hate but our love is pure,
She knows the buttons to press, the music to sing and the melody to play when I’m sad,
I’m neither gay nor rebellious; I’m in love with a woman and man.
Maybe she does love me
Let's cut our hair
locks lopped off in hopes of
style and convenience
only because everything in the media
had announced it so
to look one of two ways
stupid or not
the dichotomy of breathing
intermixed with thinking
a miscreant's
entreaty
based upon the logarithm of dog drool
of other's crisis mind fux=
a cute bob with fringe
perhaps, a beehive to capture errant thoughts
in clouds of hairspray
like ricky lake eating more cake
like the earthy done shaky
like prickly pear sports shake
like trickling ear sweat bakes
like a crepe
just spend the time
emulsifying the generations
tell stories, freak out the other one
basically, have fun
On this journey we call life; there will be bumps in the road.
Throughout this journey, doctors preach get tested.
Your birthday is coming up, congrats on turning 40 years old,
Everything in your life you have bested.
“Hello doc, nice to see you again, how is it going?”
“Hey there sir, I am good what brings you here?”
“Well I just turned 40 and want to make sure nothing is growing.”
“Not a problem, let’s get some blood and make sure your clear.”
You give the blood and go about your day,
You’re a healthy man, no need to worry.
Then the phone rings, it’s the doctor and he has something to say,
“Sir, your lab work is back; can you get here in a hurry?”
So you hang up the phone and you rush over quick,
All kinds of scenarios are going through your head.
Nervous, scared and anxious are all emotions that hit you like a brick,
You push that gas pedal like your foot is made of lead.
The doctor sits you down and thanks you for showing up so fast,
“Just tell me doc what did you find.”
“Well your blood work says your prostate is under attack,”
“But don’t freak out yet, just keep an open mind.”
So more testing is done, biopsies are taken,
The dreaded C word has now taken over you mind.
You have the support of friend and family and that can’t be shaken,
Just keep your head up and you will be fine.
What is it about a bluegrass banjo solo
That turns my crank and drives me loco
That foot tappin' beat
Can't control my feet
I freak out, guess I'm just a bluegrass banjo bozo

Desire takes a gentle leap between eyes
when love blossoms in garden of romance.
Lashes flutter like wings of butterflies
on soft petals of an intimate trance.
Jouissance engulfs the bodies and ties
two souls in blinks of a repeated glance.
For loving couples a heavenly bliss;
gesture of love is a butterfly kiss.
