Best Foundations Poems
Love, trust, and forgiveness are the foundations of marriage.
In marriage, many days will bring happiness, while other days may be sad.
But together, two hearts can overcome everything...
In marriage, all of the moments won't be exciting or romantic,
and sometimes worries and anxiety will be overwhelming.
But together, two hearts that accept will find comfort together.
Recollections of past joys, pains, and shared feelings will be the glue
that holds everything together during even the worst and most insecure moments. Reaching out to each other as a friend, and becoming the confidant and companion that the other one needs, is the true magic and beauty of any two people together. It's inspiring in each other a dream or a feeling, and having faith in each other and not giving up... even when all the odds say to quit.
It's allowing each other to be vulnerable, to be himself or herself, even when the opinions or thoughts aren't in total agreement or exactly what you'd like them to be. It's getting involved and showing interest in each other, really listening and being available, the way any best friend should be.
Exactly three things need to be remembered in a marriage if it is to be a mutual bond of sharing, caring, and loving throughout life: love, trust, and forgiveness.

To write to ensnare
to weave a web of intrigue
is it for one’s self?
I’d rather be the devil
than steal true loves innocence.

Hanging is too good for them,
Should cut their danglies off.
Use a rusty jigsaw blade,
They’d be afraid to cough.
Our great Judicial system,
with infinite foresight,
Ignores these sound suggestions,
That you and I think right.
For Judges and the legal type,
at our expense guffaw,
believing that like
God and Queen,
they are above the Law.
It is often intimated,
that despite this regal pose,
they wear peepholes bras
and stockings underneath their
Chamber robes.
No underpants to interfere,
restrict ,affect or stay
thus keeping verdicts
cool and poised
for any courtroom play.
So when Chief Justice
leans or frowns
or shuffles on his throne
Its probably suspenders
that are causing him to moan
Or just perhaps
his strapless bra,
Is chaffing on his back,
perchance his basque’s
laced up too tight,
or his g-strings up his crack.
Some trials that end surpisingly,
the verdict gone askew,
Owe more to misplaced
leather thong,
than legal point of view.
Perhaps the nuts that
need cut off,
are not from pervert kind,
but rather leading Legal ones,
No longer sound of mind.

Forgiving is divine when given unmerited
A willful sin is an eternal burned etching
The penitent spirit forever uninhibited
Not able or willing to stand by itself
Love blooms purest in the midnight hours
The most chilling moment for the heart
To the eyes of ignorance the bright beacon
Is the cascading blush of the soft candle
Within death’s gaze life is unremitting
Stubbornly courageous calling out “I Am”
In the enormity of existence lifeblood drips
Here the frailest of eyes struggle’s to see
From war machines fly the banners of harmony
The conduction of peace we endeavor toward
Recycling our arms and forgetting the sacrifices
Proudly following its flag for a moments chance
Divinity resides in the cathedrals magnificence
A perfection toiled brick by brick upon limited hands
Generating hope our faith shields out the menace
Given freely to all the price a willing prayer of thanks
Infinity exists in the most finite of moments
That continuous cycle of past, present, and future
Trusting the hand of the generous creator
Momentarily pausing at the gateway…trying to grasp
For we are only men…

I watched you walk into the company cafeteria, staring at the ready made food under plastic
Selecting something green and healthy, the choice of a fluffy long eared herbivore
And cradling a glass of grey brown juice squeezed from a plant unpronounceable, shredded elastic
And then choosing a solo table, kicking off your shoes, pressing bare feet onto polished concrete floor.

God And Nature Are Foundations In Each Soul
( Sestina Sonnet) (Number 5)
God and Nature give me such sweet release,
as both seep quite deeply into my soul.
Joined in this melding we race on carefree
and we in our wisdom dance two by two.
My life now consists of love of we two,
holding the joys in being so carefree.
Days and nights bring on our hottest release,
together build stronger each longing soul.
Nature and God live in a seeking soul,
creating scenarios for release.
Bathed in true light, they create sets of two,
with beloved brought pairs that are carefree.
God and Nature are foundations in each soul.
Man's quest should be to find divine release.

Fractured Foundations
Do not expect longevity from poorly poured, ill-formed foundations.
Many changes occur, cause it to crackup and the building will lean.
Select quality materials for yourself, at the beginning.

What grabs human attention?
The same things that bats & birds attend
"What's moving," not what's at peace, still
"The dangers," not the rest of vast sea
"Foreground," not Foundations, 'background'
So too, with space and sky, we see light, not space
II
Like bat, bird, tables - we are molecules
Molecular structure cannot be The Human
Though we share chemicals, particles, atoms
The You is a pattern, recognized even as U grow
Change your body, hair, teeth, face, inside weekly
The waves that oscillate as your life, is You
Not your beautiful face or height, or smile. Smile!

I used to be an open foundation
Unbounded by walls
But firm where I stood
With light shone upon me
You came along
And stacked the bricks one by one
Shutting out the light
Trapping the darkness inside
My change went unnoticed
For you saw the light
Peaking through the windows
Where you wanted me to be seen
What I truly needed, however,
Was someone to take me apart
Piece by piece
Letting the light back in
It wasn't until you left
That I realized the windows weren't enough
And I left myself vulnerable
To anyone ready to take me apart
I am now an open foundation
Unbounded by walls
Firm where I stand
With light shone upon me

Walking alone in this world
not knowing right step to take
the surface can be very slippy
indeed you can fall if you brake
We all need a solid foundation
one that is trustful and true
holding you close and real secure
having calm and peace forever new
This is found only in God almighty
strong to save the beacon of light
shining forcefully in your life
makes you standing strong to fight
In His mercy and abiding grace
your footsteps don’t slip or slide
they are held fast in His grip
you can truly in your Lord confide
This is your abiding true testimony
that your anchor is eternally sure
trust and obey your sure foundation
so in Christ you’ll always endure
('My steps have held fast to your paths;
my feet have not slipped.') Psalm 17: 5 (ESV)

Foundations
What are you building your foundation on,
Solid Rock, or quicksand?
A foundation built on solid rock has staying
power, withstanding the test of time.
Contrarily, a foundation built on
quicksand is never steady.
It does not matter how quickly you build
upon it or how much you build:
Every piece of your foundation gets
devoured by the quicksand, and
rather quickly at that.
Some will spend a lifetime
in blood, sweat and tears building a
foundation on quicksand.
They go on, either not realizing,
or refusing to acknowledging that they are
building on something that was never meant
to be built upon from the very beginning.
Therefore again I say,
What are you building your foundation on,
Solid Rock, or quicksand?

Prose Poetry
Don't let my hope die down
although i know it was mine
to begin with
And the moon is praying
yet some see Elijah bestrode back in town
but I'm an old sinner
too old for my years
not knowing who would emerge
from the gloomy vale
I rode away
to see the harbour's light dim
but still I think of outside
where all the pain was

Free verse
... she had nothing much to give as she searched her pockets for gratitude, selfless gifts had made her journey so much easier than she could have ever longed for, invaluable presents from a passionate heart and she looked at the inscription in the ageing tree of her childhood an arrow of love on the cinnamon bark of tomorrow that always looked to become a distant past, a couple of bows tied around the trunk, now faded and torn beyond recognition, all that was left was words of kindness, a sincere apology and farewell to becoming an aspiration beyond her wildest dreams ...
my tree of kind life
planted roots of compassion
you gave me your wings
