Spiritual Foundations.

Forgiving is divine when given unmerited
A willful sin is an eternal burned etching
The penitent spirit forever uninhibited
Not able or willing to stand by itself

Love blooms purest in the midnight hours
The most chilling moment for the heart
To the eyes of ignorance the bright beacon
Is the cascading blush of the soft candle

Within death’s gaze life is unremitting
Stubbornly courageous calling out “I Am”
In the enormity of existence lifeblood drips
Here the frailest of eyes struggle’s to see

From war machines fly the banners of harmony
The conduction of peace we endeavor toward
Recycling our arms and forgetting the sacrifices
Proudly following its flag for a moments chance

Divinity resides in the cathedrals magnificence
A perfection toiled brick by brick upon limited hands
Generating hope our faith shields out the menace
Given freely to all the price a willing prayer of thanks

Infinity exists in the most finite of moments
That continuous cycle of past, present, and future
Trusting the hand of the generous creator
Momentarily pausing at the gateway…trying to grasp

			For we are only men…
