Premium Member Arctic Afterglow

When the
glacial sun slips
in softened womb
of the scarlet
spheres at dusk,
yearning for
hibernal rebirth
as a lustrous
morning star,
it radiates
golden beams
like lakes of sunshine,
flowing over
chiming starlit bells
in our hazy haven;
and I scrap
frosted flakes
off the bittersweet
pamphlets that
whisper our names
in the misty winds
of 'Us'.

Calming the
coalesced chaos
within my
infernal pulses,
his warmth drapes
this enchanted soul
with daffodil-
smudged days
of hot cocoa amidst
a wintry wonderland.
If I could bloom
like an arctic
afterglow's heart
on bare alpine trees,
I would only
choose him to be
my daylight-
perfumed violet
scent, evermore.

I can never
stroll away
from the shimmering
silverine memory,
when my muse's
trust breathed
hailstorm's poesy in
my solstitial lungs
and kissed the
fractals of a bruised
poet's spirit.

Dreaming of yuletide,
I achingly yearn
to become the
silken apricity of
those soft lyrics
that swing in his
thundersnow thoughts
and frostbitten flesh,
re-writing the jaggery saga
of twin-sanguine-lovers
in beige brushstrokes
of foggy 'We'.

Sometimes,
I forsake to
surrender and
ask for a peaceful
nod from the
'Lord of Soulmates',
can I be the
honeysuckle ink
for my beloved's
watercolor feather,
always nurturing
the snowy twists of
our tale within fate's
untold wisdom?

When I desire
to wander in
black-iced myths of
insatiable agony,
will he become
my bejeweled healer
and fight off those
sombre silhouettes
of Jack Frost's
saudade, like a samurai?

For, I take him
as the gift of
my last wish,
forever inhaling
the chilly secrets
of our lantern-
lives in my
subconscious visions,
that keep me
alive upon
crestfallen sleets
of intuitive icicles;
I want to live forever,
in his pearly eyes' abode,
which coruscates
with glossy lustre
of fireflies and
makes me flutter
my hiemal
white wings like a
spellbound fairy in
grey-orchid sonatas.

From There To Here.

As you ponder each turn that has landed you here,
taut tempo will quicken and frail futures loom near.
Take one somber moment, step away from the din:
The voyage, the detours, the past and what's been.

You look back behind you to retrace every mile.
It bring tears of regret and the trace of a smile.
Hang on first, then let go, due to whimsy or age.
What you keep in the end is the test of a sage.

Fools still ignore the supreme ticks of the clock,
in each change in fashion, embraced by the flock.
Walk on and ignore them, don't bother to chide,
these pathetic lemmings swept away by the tide.

Peer off in the distance as you fight off the chill.
You must climb still further to the top of the hill.
Play the tailor to time, cut and trim, make it fit.
Find the time in your life. Take time to enjoy it.

Premium Member Forgiveness

           ________________________________________

Life must be navigated without family pain.
Sins that grab the dirt below leave a stain.
Wrongdoings profoundly wound the heart.
Wrongs compel us to feel like targets apart.

Can we avoid future wrongs if we forgive?
Is it better to let go of grudges or to sieve?
Life is full of hurts and scars that all us face.
Disdain, pride, criticism, sarcasm, disgrace.

No type of love that can weather any storm.
A display of virtue outrivals a hatred swarm.
We are in an era when love is seen as a delight.
A bond falls when there is no sense of insight.

Rejecting wickedness is a crucial life insight.
If a smart person bears evil well, we can fight.
The grace to endure affliction and shame.
To fight off evil, avoid reprisal, rage, or declaim.

Was forgetting a condition of forgiveness?
To ignore it is to miss the tip: lenient grimness.
A major harm can't be erased from memory.
Pardon is a duty to offer optimism and reverie.

To some, forgiveness is a sign of weakness.
Forgiveness needs heroic work and boldness.
Furious individuals escape quite easily.
Creative dialogue solves this issue gleefully.

The best approach to surviving this world.
is to request forgiveness and be unnerved.
A balance is present in this chaotic universe.
Just let life happen and live it without a curse.

Allow God to handle the care of the wrath.
Love is the central theme; it paves the path.
By forgiving injustice, humans can heal.
Man needs time to forgive; thus, mercy is a deal.

Just a Little Bit Free

I feel that I need to get out
to walk by the oak and pine trees
breathe fresh air and. see young creatures
climb pines and fences — roam all about

I feel the need to have the sun
warm my bones, my tendons my veins
I want to hear people laugh and
walk with their dogs out to the park
throw balls have picnics have fun

I want to say hello and talk
For I know they have been polite
watching me now for 2 years
trips to doctors, to surgery with a cap
and thin hair, with a cane taking walks

They ask me how I am
and I smile and say good
now a year later they appear
to believe me, a large breath escapes
now its only every 4 months I go for an exam

Still the doctors tell me to be careful
to stay away from children with
 their sneezes and coughs
 A lonely prescription, but
 I do have my dogs

 Another MRI and dyes injected
 another Congressman gone from
the same disease, so sad but his was a 4
and I am a stage 3. still every
blood lab is collected, every cell inspected

This weekend we hope to see
a play under the pine trees
I will get tired and my bones and spine
will ache, my brain will need a quiet rest
Cancer of the brain is not
an easy thing to fight off, its tough, unkind
though now it could be a year or possibly more
the chemo/radiation is cruel, but for this month
I feel good enough to allow me to be
just a little bit alive —a little bit free

Sunday at my Leisure

Sunlight leaks
through the curtain
after I’ve thrown off the covers.
Downstairs the television flickers
as a roommate sleeps
on the couch.
He was talking politics
last night.
I went upstairs
and read a poem.
This morning
I walk into the kitchen
and turn off a dripping faucet.
The furnace hums
to fight off a chill.
The calendar says spring
as if my life has just begun.
I go out for a leisurely drive
where the countryside
speaks to me.
I come back home
and make a quick brunch.
Words dancing in my head
cry out for me
to put them on a page
as the cat sits on my lap.
The roommate rolls to his side
saying, April’s the cruelest month
while I say the cruelest thing
is writer’s block.
A jet passing over a crown
of trees at the end of the street
streaks the sky.
The roommate talks about a movie
he watched in the middle of the night
and its philosophy.
Did you like it, I say
as a bird outside the window sings.

Premium Member Rain

Gray clouds hanging low in the sky
echo my feelings
help me to cry
the pain has been building now for days
the emotions
just won’t go away
These feelings of loneliness and despair
so very empty
like nobody cares
I sit at the window shivering in silence
as the rain falls
and stiffens my defiance
I have to fight off this depression
no matter the cost
or die in submission
the rain drums it’s rhythm steadily down
and soothes my soul
but no more feelings can be found
It’s easier that way you know
not to feel,
so I’ve been told
But I know there’s more to life
than all the hurting
the pain and the strife
Somebody help me, is anyone there?
I’m drowning
in this rain of despair

Fight Off All Our Foes

Everybody knows
That to God want to propose
Hel fight off our foes.

Also want to say
God be in our lives today
Wash our sins away.

Sisters and brothers
God help us to help others
Make us be lovers.

Leave no one behind
May be woman or mankind
Which God has designed.

Have found peace at last
Sorrows remain in the past
Fly flags high on mast.

From now until then
We will not worry again
Now free from all sin.

I Won'T Let My Guard Down This Time

I shut down
I'm broken down
But, I will rise
You'll soon realize
With your starlit eyes
That I am not afraid anymore

I won't let my guard
Like I did before
I know life can get hard
My wings will soar

We are shimmering bright like pretty stars
Will someone come here and heal my scars?
Neon lights burn in our eyes all over again
Frozen in place and I'm frustrated and then…
You tell me to be brave and embrace the light
When my hopes are in the grave tonight…tonight…
I spiral mad like a spinning top on the table of horrid lies
I am sad because I let my guard down when we said our goodbyes
When we said our goodbyes…when we said our goodbyes…
I let my guard down and I am so ashamed and bemused
I let my guard down and I am shattered and I was abused
Heal my hurt right now
Uplift my guard somehow

I am consumed
By shadows of assumption
But, I was bruised
By the woods of corruption
You’re my remedy and sweet gravity
You give me strength to fight off vanity

Steal my pain away
Make my clouds less gray
Make me happy once more
Don't let me let my guard down this time
Don't let me give up on myself this time
I lit up the night and I begin to soar

The Shining Gatsby

Are you concerned about me?
Yes I'm talking to you Daisy.
What should be done with him?
Our situation with Tom is very dim.

I don't think thats true.
You only loved me.
Now stop with this vile spew!
Come get in my golden car and let us flee.

I think you have some very definite ideas about what should be done with Tom!
And yes, next time I will remain calm.
Oh look out!
You hit her- quickly take that route!

So you think Myrtle's health might be at stake?
Well you shouldn't have run her over for God's sake!
Now you say you are shaking from this incident with the car.
Of course you are!

So now you say you want to be left alone...
Have you ever had a single moment's thought about my responsibilities?
Daisy I have pledged myself to your own!
I promised to fight off every man, to overcome all hostilities!

Daisy has it ever occurred to you that I have agreed to look after you?
That I have signed a letter of agreement, a contract!
For your sake my whole life is driven, myself made anew.
But I will wait for tomorrow- then, our union shall be made exact.

The People In Our Lives

Do you ever wonder how many people are in our lives?
Too many to count, more than the bees in a hive?

Why do they stay?
Why do they come by to play?

Are they hurting or damaged by fate?
Are we still their friends or is it too late?

What makes a friend – a friend to the end?
A friend you can rely on and really depend?

I think it takes courage, courage to let go of your selfish ways.
The kind that makes you Seize The Day!

One that will listen to you, even when you’re wrong.
One that will sing with you on your out of tune song.

A friend that is there, just because.
A friend that doesn’t say anything, just does.

Will drive miles to see your smile.
Only if it is, for a short while.

One that will try to help and protect from lifes dangers
And if there is failure will fight off the anger.

A friend to me is the person, I want to be.
The strength, hope and love they give to me.

So I look around and I think I have found,
My bees in my hive, all movin’ around and dancing to the jive.

Our friends are many, praise the Lord!
For they all love us – all in one accord!

The Harvest Is Here

The Harvest Is Here
Have you Heard
But where oh where
Are the workers to be found
There is an abundance for all
A supply that will never run out
Why want you come
Gas to high , car tire flat
We got many excuses
I got some if you need them
But my friend we have the easy part
For all the phophets before Jesus
Done all the hard work
Then Jesus came to fulfill
He never quits working
For He put everything together
That we might just come
As we are anytime He does not judge
He will show up at your door
I would open it and have a talk
Before you are knocking on His door
And says I don't know you
I came by many times and thought
The house was vacant
The Harvest is the spirit of God
That has been made available
Through the death of Christ
Since Pentacost we where given a way
To all come together in spirit and truth
But why so few will seek
It will make sense of all the chaos
Of this wicked generation we live in
The trumpet will sound
And the battle will begin
If you will allow the spirit to dwell within
The peace, joy ,comfort and love
Not of this world
To allow the spirit to clean us up
You will have to change
Alot of those old habits
Lose friends for there own good
To see the work in you
Throw away some of those CDs
There are many places evil enters in this time
Jesus I know I am no good
Please show me the evil as it comes
And inherit this new mind and spirit being
To fight off all darkness that comes my way
For by man alone it is impossible
To enter His kingdom
Love you all

Premium Member Pray Your Way, To Great Days

Dark and grey, breaks the day
This the way, life does play
With the gay and the grave
With the brave and the knave

Bleak the light, day like night
Stay the fight, off the blight
Hold on tight to the Son
He’s the one, not to shun

When it’s dark in your park
He’s a spark and an ark
Place your mark with the light
Set your sights, bold and bright

(Misery's Ghost)

Dreaming with my eyes wide open
Ultra Death sits by the bedside

On your knees, you are crying!
Along the floor, now you are dying!
Swallowing the pain inside, demanding for the reaper himself
If you want to see dead people
This GHOST will bring you face to face with the luminance
Once you cross over, you're in absolute fright
Lost in a desire to see the spirit world,
Drowning to be a part of it
          !!! .
Can you hear that low bubbling noise rising up from within?
Wait, wait that is, he or she…. *The dead*
No... You are still gurgling of your stomach, is it?
This hunger is not indigestion, it is Mount KILLomen about to blow
The Ghost Effect enters the soul, in pieces after the first glow

A 'Ghost so potent enough, it will wipe you off the face of the earth
Like a trace, every fragment of this Ghost is a killer
If you are kindling it, you might not live to tell
Find a way to exercise it with extreme caution
When ‘The Ghost’ is around
There is no going back, once you have experienced it
You’ll never encounter a way to fight off this evil intrusion!
After you've lived, the ghost will haunt 'long after the soul is gone
First, the sensation that you're buried alive,
Then the frightening phenomena feeling begins
The ghoul is trapped and clawing its way to the surface

Savor the evening with pain until they come to claim what is left
Living loud, with a tortured soul
Having inherited- SATAN'S BLOOD
This Ghost has a forked tongue
Misery made everyone believe that he was just another ghost
Until you see, ‘The Ghost’ and what he or she has done?
Experiencing how it makes the blood boil like a thousand fiery lashes
Falling from, Satan's whip, only hope can escape his snare

Wishing for a Laxative
To flush the insanity, that haunts through the years
Calling this The End…………

Don'T Call Me Beautiful

Don’t call me beautiful til you have seen my scars and flaws,
Don’t call me beautiful until i tell you my fears and dreams,
Don’t tell me you want to see my body, tell me you want to see my heart.
Compliment me on my intelligence, on my beautifully heart-breaking poetry, on my wonderous weird thoughts.
Don’t tell me you love my looks, don’t tell me you love how my eyes shine in the light or how my breasts could be used in different ways.
Don’t tell me i’m perfect, because what the hell is perfection?

Don’t call me beautiful until you’ve seen every inch of my precious, undiscovered, hidden land.
Don’t tell me i’m amazing til you’ve heard me cry myself to sleep at night, til you’ve seen me smoke just to feel alive, til you’ve seen inside my own mind.
Don’t tell me i’m strong until you’ve seen me fight off demons just to save other people, until i’ve fought my own demons, because baby the battle has just begun.
Don’t tell me to think differently, tell me my thoughts are just lying to me.

Don’t call my beautiful until we’ve lied awake together in the silent night, until i kiss you out of no where, until i tell you i’ve fallen in love with you.
Don’t call me beautiful when you only want to use my body, when you only want to get satisfaction of pleasure from me.
Don’t tell me you love me, unless you can imagine the rest of your life with me, the rest of eternity.
Don’t tell me you can’t live without me, i don’t appreciate liars.
Don’t tell me you want me then ignore me,
Don’t tell me i’m beautiful because odds are i won’t believe you.

What Am I

Back in roman times I was called a stylus
I wrote messages and stories on papyrus Writing since Before Christ,
Don't matter what the time is
Even wrote for the great poets known as the vikings
I translated Roman-to-English with just hyphens
I can go back and forth on the timeline
Used by the dude who even wrote "Mein Kampf"
But before that used for maps to draw islands
I even wrote that rap and I screamed "BYE STAN!!"
I've seen everybody’s diaries, but I don't speak
I write the dreams they have seen, it's punishing...
I'm their best friend at quiet times
For poets, and rappers that write rhymes
Or artists, that compose the lights eyes
Oops I mean the end of night, it's the "sunrise"
I cry when they draw their mental picture
I miss it easy, like the ancient Egyptian scriptures
Last week I wrote a broken heartfelt letter of a boys dead sister
His tears made me smear, smudge and bitter as well
I mean i'm supposed to be emotionless, but this feels like hell
I guess literature is the only way I help
This is how I'd explain it, if someone asked how I felt
I'm literally consumed in everybody’s literacy
Different languages, but I still know their history....
I’m the victim see, every word written composes verbal imagery
Even carved Mozarts spirit in every symphony
I take everyones thoughts and write it down lyrically
Have you solved my mystery? I need some sympathy
One second i’m drawing so skillfully, then destroying paper so viciously
So if you’re crazy just like me, take my spot and fight off this infantry
Then you will see, all these sad letters of these casualties
Of when France defended against the great Italy
I’ll riddle more, I was even there when the bible was born
I was even used for the art of the Tribal of course
I even wrote of the tale of the Trojan horse
I even seen the great GRA fight
GRA meaning arts and culture
I’m running out of graphite.
