WHAT IS A WOMAN

A woman is someone who reveres God and His laws above all else.
She knows wisdom, honor and dependability are more valuable than money or possessions.
She knows that respect is earned and fear is not respect.
She knows that true beauty comes from a gentle spiriit and a kind heart and she is known
for her goodness, patience and compassion.
She is aware of her responsibilities and performs her duties happily with pride in a job well
done.
She strives to teach these qualities to her children.
She loves her husband and her children and is faithful to both striving to be a source of pride
to them.
What is a woman?
She is the backbone of the family.
She is the heart of the house teaching patience, love and virtue.
She is the glue that holds the family together.

                                                                                           Judy Ball

My Grandma Is Gone

Why did she have to go away
Why did she leave all of us
I wish she was here so we can stop crying

She was the best grandma that anyone can have
when my cousins and I was young when she would bake a cake she would
always let us lick the spoon

She was so funny even when she wasent trying to be funny
Now she is looking down on all that know her and love her
When she first held her great grandson my son the look in her eyes she felt joy
and happyness and that he is still in her heart even though she is in a better
place

I miss her so much I still feel the pain in my heart but it will get better
I am glad she has no more pain..

She will live on in our hearts and we will never forget her
Her life did not end it is just beginning.

For MY Grandma Dorthy Purcell RIP AND I LOVE YOU

A Jog Walk

Cool 7 miles from 7 till 9 gives strength and gives me pace
I leave before the kids alight and wife has made her face
The mist and fog the scarf forgot my destination food
But back to fore the place I left with hunger on the route.

Down the boreen and grassy lanes another hill oh no
I'm walking now but when to press for running I should go
My heart's a pumping quietly and building all the time
Cholesterol and that butter dear my heart has now entwined

I had that pudding, girls as well, a dad who likes to clean
Crust pastry and an apple pie demolished all unseen
To run at this point and check my heart through pounding in my ear
I should have left that pancake but my tongue could not stay clear

I slow jog at a quicker pace she's beating at a rate
I know I can keep going at this and more a pace
But I if I stop at this point then my heart will stop and wait
Too wait too long is my fear and I'll end up at them gates.

A barrier is crossed now the blood begins to free
my heart is rightly pumping in all chambers one two three
Relax and roll a perfect gate my wall and on beyond
Enjoy my run and country side and tuned in to the sun

The roads a quiet watch that car a bend the right side take
Remember when you reached the tree a bend a turn a brake
Two miles to go a plate to show and breakfast there awaits
My wife's a golden lady and those eggs she now will make

Another turn and up the hill a push to power legs
In the drive and kitchen thrive no sound or mumour begs
Oh dear my head my heart and feet and pumping with a bleet
My wife's in bed the kids have said start cooking while we sleep!

My Final Plea

For Mark

I stand within the flames of hells fires
Pained paralysis preventing
Escape
The black flames scorch my skin
Slowly eating flesh from bone
Destroying me piece by burning piece

I collapse to my knees in painful silence
My hands clasped together in prayer
My lips still, the words too painful to speak
Tears pour from my eyes
As I watch you destroy yourself
Unknowingly destroying me

The needles are devoured by your flesh
Your body writhes as the demons take control
My heart bleeds with agony
As your soul is wrenched from your eyes
Your body crumbles
Conquered by pure evil
The evil you chose over me

As you slowly slip away
And choke on your dying breaths
I take your hand in mine
Tears stream down my cheeks, as I feel the warmth fading from your fingers
I gaze down into your already lifeless eyes
And I feel my heart erupt in flames
As I walk away from you I leave my heart behind - a pile of ashes
Ashes to be buried alongside you

Premium Member Letting Go of Home

That old faucet leaks.
Done so for many a year.
I let it drip in that bowl,
birds; chipmunks; squirrel and other
critters come here for a drink.

This here tree out front?
Wife and I planted it. Yep.
Day we moved in here.
I wanted a Saguaro.
Mave wanted a good shade tree.

Inside…watch yer step,
that old board needs fixin',
I’ll show you the rooms.
This here was Mave’s favorite room.
She picked out those curtains there.

That’s my chair right there.
Come into the kitchen,
take a look around.
Mave put up many a jar
of jelly. Best in the state.

Now up these stairs,
are the bed rooms. This one’s Joe’s.
He was our oldest. Gone now.
Broke his mothers heart it did.
He died in the war. A hero.

This room was Katie’s.
Her and my Mave painted it.
Don’t care much for pink.
But Katie had her heart set.
But, I guess you could repaint.

This little room here,
Mave turned into a sewin’ room.
Her own little hide away.
Said I got the barn, so she
needed her own little space.

This was Mave’s and mine.
Now it’s just me. It’s too big.
I sleep on the couch.
Fall asleep with the TV.,
Mave hated when I did that.

Well, you’ve seen the house.
Told you what I could 'bout it.
If these walls could talk.
You’d get an earful that’s sure.
They’d likely never shut up.

Me and Mave were here
fifty two years till she died.
Then just me ten more.
Raised our two young’uns right here.
Ain’t got no grankids as yet.

Now, you two young folk,
take yer time and think ’bout it.
Don’t want to rush this.
It will still be here for ya,
when you two make up yer mind,

Got my memories.
First house is the most ‘portant.
How you get on here,
sets up the rest of your life,
to make your own memories.

This poem was inspired by one of our local, crusty,
old cowpoke, desert characters. He spoke straight
from the hip, with no nonsense or frills.
I sure wish we could have bought that old
homestead.

Feelings Deep Down In My Heart

A pleasant walk in the evening by your side,
you wrapped me tightly..those feelings i cannot hide.

Laughing,loving,caring,kissing,hugging and cuddling,
Becoz of you i could experience the meaning of romancing.

The first touch of yours is so soothing ,reassuring and magical,
I still remember that i could not control and became so emotional.

My tears became empty as i cried for you day after day,
But noting touches your heart as you live for that day.

I just wanted to let you know how much i feel for you,
Since my soul is bright and alive just for you.

We should never get separate as its difficult to stay apart,
My heart skips its beat if its not connected to your heart.

No evil or none can separate both of us,even though we fight,
I will love you ,no matter what, even if its day or night.

The words i am typing down " here " are from my soul,
Hope you could understand the meaning of all

Homesick

Homesick
My heart floats home with the crackling leaves
It flies away with the migrating ducks
It rattles along on an old lonesome train
My heart rises with the fog of a tranquil pond in a pasture
It settles in at the dinner table of my childhood home
Ready for a nice steak dinner with my family

Mermaid Dreams

My sweet daughter
I picture you playing
amongst the mermaids,
wearing a necklace of sea-shells
and white shiny pearls.
You loved the ocean
and even on your worse days
when the cancer had
taken away all your energy
you would have us carry you
down to the sandy beach.
You would sit watching the high tides
bouncing waves on the shore.
I often wondered what you thought
about as you sat there.
One day you turned to me and said,
"Wouldn’t it be great to be a mermaid?"
Memories of you as a small girl
reading the Little Mermaid stories
brought fresh tears to my eyes.
"What would you do if you were a mermaid?"
I asked.
So you told me how
you would swim far away to
find your prince and forever love
waiting on a distant shore.
Something that would never happen now
that your cancer was terminal.
Today with a heavy heart
I spread your ashes across those same waves.
My heart breaking with missing you.
“Swim my little mermaid swim,”
I whisper into the breeze.

Liberty and Freedom

I kiss you good-bye over and over
Clinging to you tears staining the well worn in uniform,
My chest is heavy but my heart weighs more
As we part ways with one last kiss.
Good-Bye my love carry my heart with you
As you fight for our Liberty and Freedom.
Sleepless nights and tear soaked pillows
Hoping for a peaceful night,
Restless child sad and confused
Not quite old enough to know,
Daddy is off fighting for our Liberty and Freedom.
Worried mothers watching the news
Lonely wives praying for the Marines in Blues to pass by
Not to knock on my door.
It is the worst news we can receive,
Your Marine died fighting for our Liberty and Freedom.

The Old Lady...

The old lady sIted on that chair, showed me once…
…How the sun shines and rises every day,
…How sometimes clouds may be also on its way
Learn by heart the old days
 When I see……when I see,
…the old lady sIted on that chair

SIted on that chair… the old lady cries at times
…Perceiving maybe that her days are gone
Lecture of life… hard to rise above or understand
When I see… when I see,
…the old lady sIted on that chair

The old lady sIted on that chair, in sweet smile
…reminiscences coming up to bright her sunlight hours
Peaceful in mind my heart embrace that flash
When I see.., when I see,
…the old lady sIted on that chair

Peaceful in mind…the memories are there
As blooming flowers like the ones she grew
Beautiful gardens surrounds me, but with pain
When I see… when I see,
…the old lady sIted on that chair

I know one day… I might see the chair unfilled
…Nobody there, just the lovely old lady’s energy
 And I’ll be acquainted with…her saying…

“How the sun shines and rises every day
How sometimes clouds may be also on its way”

When I might not see… might not see
…The old lady sIted on that chair … my Mom.

Crystal & Fernie

CRYSTAL AND FERNIE

I've searched and i've searched
for many years now and I still haven't a clue
I've dreamed and I've dreamed
night after night and still I wake up unhappy and blue

They were my life
A gift sent from up above
So why did she take them away from me
stealing all that I loved

Without them I have no reason to carry on
For my heart now bleeds with emptiness
All my loving is now gone

I hurt really bad now
a feeling I can't explain
Still after all these painful lonily years now
she continues to drive me insane

My heart ripped out
drained of every drop of blood
She's asking me to give up MY children
As if my life has now ended simply as it should...

My Boy

My Boy
His heart is breaking its tearing me apart,
His suffered in silence kept things close to his heart,
He feels no one wants him although he try's hard,
To be a good man but still a child at heart,
The world on his shoulders burdens to hard,
Emotions are damaged your insides are scared,
It doesn't matter what he try's to do,
It turns out rung and distorts his view,
He can't see forward only into the past,
Left in misery bottom of the class,
Withdrawn and upset he's part of the past,
He has a heart of gold that's been shattered like glass,
This girl has destroyed him this year and last,
How long can my sons bad luck last ,
This is to you son to wish you the best.
To say i will always be here in your unhappiness,
You will turn the corner you will see,
You've escaped the shackles and now your free

Living On

They live on inside our hearts,
They expect us to never fall apart,
Truth be told,
If i may be ever so bold,
Life begins to heal our daily pathways,
As we begin to enter a new and more challenging phase,
One realizes how precious life can be,
Choose to jump in so carefully,
They leave behind their great wisdom to share,
So embrace the emptiness with respect and great care,
They leave us legends only one can feel and understand,
They lead us on through our lives with a spiritual hand,
The make sure no harm ever comes to us,
While listening to the inner voice, that is a must.
I'm told one day we will meet up again, as i look forward to see their loving faces,
I slowly have moved on without them, in my heart never to leave them behind,
As for the future i have discovered many new places,
As i leave behind to others my wisdom and foot traces.
As i was left to carry on,
Once my time is gone.

Easter Eggs

Lonely nights destroy me,
The thoughts of you,
In the church,
Where your casket laid,
Now under Earth,
The heart burns,
Wanting only to know,
Of your joy and safety,
Maybe what life is like;
After life,
The garden you visit,
Is it roses?
Or hyacinths?
Maybe daffodils?
I wish for a hug,
To feel that heart beat,
Never again,
I leave the Easter egg,
With the hope that you know;
You know.

A Great Couple Whom I Ever Loved

A great couple whom I ever loved.....

In all the world, there's no one like
my father and mother - in-laws
They known to this world as a great couple
Although, they were no more with us today
but their memories will cherish in our heart forever
Their lovingness and kindness can not be matched
Their absence shows us how important they were
They did their best for us and to others
They taught us the value of love
They taught us the value of life
They taught us the value of family
Not only they taught good things to us
but also set so many good examples to us
My heart knows how much I miss them today
My little children looks at the sky and thinking
they will come back soon, not knowing the nature's call
But their blessing will live with us forever
I thank God for giving me a great in laws
And let me pray for their soul to rest in peace
