A Jog Walk
Cool 7 miles from 7 till 9 gives strength and gives me pace I leave before the kids alight and wife has made her face The mist and fog the scarf forgot my destination food But back to fore the place I left with hunger on the route. Down the boreen and grassy lanes another hill oh no I'm walking now but when to press for running I should go My heart's a pumping quietly and building all the time Cholesterol and that butter dear my heart has now entwined I had that pudding, girls as well, a dad who likes to clean Crust pastry and an apple pie demolished all unseen To run at this point and check my heart through pounding in my ear I should have left that pancake but my tongue could not stay clear I slow jog at a quicker pace she's beating at a rate I know I can keep going at this and more a pace But I if I stop at this point then my heart will stop and wait Too wait too long is my fear and I'll end up at them gates. A barrier is crossed now the blood begins to free my heart is rightly pumping in all chambers one two three Relax and roll a perfect gate my wall and on beyond Enjoy my run and country side and tuned in to the sun The roads a quiet watch that car a bend the right side take Remember when you reached the tree a bend a turn a brake Two miles to go a plate to show and breakfast there awaits My wife's a golden lady and those eggs she now will make Another turn and up the hill a push to power legs In the drive and kitchen thrive no sound or mumour begs Oh dear my head my heart and feet and pumping with a bleet My wife's in bed the kids have said start cooking while we sleep!
